It was in a good location. It was convenient for the metro and felt very safe with handy food shops nearby. The hotel was very clean. The staff were extremely friendly and gave us lots of helpful information. The room was a decent size with a nice bathroom and it was good to have the coffee machine, kettle and fridge in the room. We also thought the breakfast was better than expected - it was available till quite late which suited us and although it was self-service and mostly cold options it was all good quality - fresh croissants and baguettes, good coffee machine, juice etc.. It was exactly what we needed as a base for sightseeing and we thought it was good value.

Wifi could have been better

Very comfortable stay in this recently renovated hotel. Our room (302) was perfect for us. Everything was very clean, the staff do a great job. The tea and coffee top ups were appreciated. We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel so cannot comment. As noted in other reviews, there is no lift, in case that is a concern for anyone with mobility needs. The two gentlemen we saw on different days at reception were both very kind and helpful, and happily looked after our bags on our departure day. Our room was on the street but the windows are very well insulated and it was very quiet. The hotel is about a 2 minute walk from the Belleville metro station, and similar from Couronnes. In the mornings, we sauntered along rue Jean-Marie Timbaud, past Place de la République, and through the Marais to get to the Île de la cité and the Louvre, about an hour at a relaxed pace. We got breakfast pastries at Boulangerie Timbaud (recommend!) and had a lovely relaxed dinner at Le Hérisson across from the hotel. The neighbourhood was lively at the weekend with lots of bars and young people, and a big market on the Tuesday. Would very happily stay again!

Nothing, perfect for us.

Great little hotel in a very colourful area of Paris. Good metro and bus connections to everywhere. The room was as new, tidy and clean. That staff were super friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money.

Les Rebelles has absolutely everything to make you as comfy as possible! Cozy beds, plenty of good pillows and fresh fluffy towels, delicious hot in-room coffee, sound-insulating windows, darkening curtains, free water bottles each day, even a night-light in the bathroom. There’s a large fan for the summertime and an electric bug-swatter, lol! Great view over the street from the windows, which open wide for fresh air. And the proprietor is cheerful, accommodating, and charming. The neighborhood has many great places to eat. We’ll be back!

The staff (Georges and a white-haired man) were great. Helpful and good humoured. Overall, it was excellent. We are seasoned visitors to Paris, but this was the first time we have stayed in Belleville, and we loved it: the life, the market, the history, the ease of transport. The hotel was very clean, well designed, and well sound insulated.

Three comments: whilst we were there the same staff were on duty all the time. Very long days.Too long, and knowing how bad short sleep is for our health, it disturbed me. They didn't complain, and I simply witnessed this, but I was uncomfortable. Second comment - we were on the 4th floor, no lift, and I think this could have been made clearer. Finally, as far as I could see, fire safety depends on the integrity of the stair case, which is protected by fire doors. No other way out of the building from our room.

Great value for a few nights in Paris. The location opposite the metro was very handy, with plenty of good restaurants nearby. The room was clean and comfortable, service was good and friendly. Overall highly recommend Les Rebelles for a stay in Paris.

On arrival our shower drain was blocked - however, we mentioned it to the staff member and it was fixed straight away. We opted for the hotel breakfast on the last morning before our flight. The staff member lost our booking but sorted it out for us nonetheless. A but overpriced for what it was, but given the difficulty of finding a bakery in August, it was convenient and good.

Great staff, location, and value for money! The room was clean, water, coffee pods, and extra bedding was available. Located centrally with walking distance from many restaurants and a couple of metro stations. Secure parking was available on demand and extra payment. The room was spacious, and they kindly provided a cot for the baby. The sofa bad was dirty but we didn't have to use it. Responsive staff. It was very hot and there were two standing fans in the room which made our stay survivable.

Breakfast service can be better, little flies were buzzing around the hot food and fruits (bananas) were over ripe. I had paid for two days breakfast but didn't even eat a single day. May be this can be worked on. No elevator, so was a hassle with bags and a little baby. Staff did help carry a bag up three floors on a spiral staircase. So very thankful for that.

This is quite a gem, a bohemian area and boutique hotel. The manager was lovely, really helpful and welcoming. It’s in a great location with lots of bars, restaurants, cafes close by. The rooms are big for Paris standard and lovely and clean with fridge and tea making facilities and an incredibly comfortable bed. The hotel also has a bar with musicians playing every night and they were fantastic.

The rooms were really warm, but there was a fan available in the room, not much of a complaint given how great the hotel is!!

Arrived at the hotel early as they allowed us to drop bags off - the room was ready early so we were able to access it from around 11am which is a big positive. Also were able to leave bags securely at hotel on final day. Owners are really friendly and welcoming. Rooms were large and clean (cleaned daily). Good location close to two metro stops as well as some bars and shops within walking distance. Wifi was fast and never failed.

Had to walk up five floors of stairs daily to get to room - not a big issue for most but a lift would vastly improve this for those with mobility issues. Safe also didn't work and wasn't fixed despite asking at reception.

Fantastic location. Feels like you’re IN the real Paris rather than surrounded by tourists but close to metros for travel from airport and sightseeing. Lots of great bars, restaurants and shops on your doorstep and a twice weekly market right outside the door. Staff super friendly and helpful. Would stay here again when next in Paris

Wasn’t really an issue as it’s an old building and expected but be aware that this property doesn’t have a lift if that was needed for you.
