Hotel was in the ideal location for us when visiting son. Close to Metro station. Walking distance to most attractions. The room was facing the street and was quiet. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Staff was friendly and helpful. Close to a self-serve laundry. Bed was comfortable, as in most Paris Hotels room was on the small side.

Beware lift is rather small. two people and luggage are a squeeze. A week later we stayed for four nights due to location. Room was smaller than 1st stay and overlooked rear courtyard. Recommend asking for room overlooking street.

Kind staff both receptionists and housekeeping. Clean rooms with AC (we was also lucky to have a nice view from 6th floor). Minibar that could be used as a small fridge, 2 big mirrors, desk, kettle and little seating area. Hotel was situated in a lovely and quiet area in the 11th. Right next to the metro station Rue Saint Maur. Would recommend!

Shower was a bit small, but that’s to be expected in Paris haha. One of the keycards to our room stopped working multiple times, but the reception fixed it each time. Other than that, everything was great!!

Everything was great! Spacious, clean, newly renovated, comfortable... TV, coffee/tea, wardrobe, luggage table, spacious bathroom. The staff was super friendly (especially the guy who checked us in – I don't remember his name; it was a tall guy with glasses and long hair in a neat bun, he was super nice!). The location is perfect; a 2 minutes walk to Parmentier metro station; lots of bars and restaurants in the area (yet we heard nothing from our room). Everything was great! :)

We had a perfect stay at Hotel Verlain. We weren’t sure what to expect as we felt the price was very budget and we were worried this would be reflected in the quality but the hotel was excellent. Very clean and comfortable with excellent en-suite facilities and air-conditioning. The location is fabulous and you couldn’t fault the staff. The 11th arrondissement is an ideal place to be and the hotel is minutes away from lovely bars, restaurants, supermarkets and excellent bakeries. It’s also very well connected with excellent public transport links. There’s a great rum bar directly opposite the hotel too (30 seconds). We had worried about being bothered by noise as it’s a lively area but had no issues whatsoever and would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you so much!

We liked the ambience of the reception and found the owner, staff members Khalid and Irmgard very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We love the area of Oberkampf, thus the location suited us. The room was on the smaller side for us Aussies, but extremely clean and charming. The bathroom seemed like new. My partner enjoyed a very good breakfast in the hotel . All in all a great stay, and should we come to Paris again we would re-book the Verlain. Thank you Khalid and Irmgard for a pleasant stay.

Great location right across road from metro. Easy access to the big attractions. I travelled with my 11yo daughter and it was great. Plenty of good food options and a minimart in the neighbourhood. The property is beautiful. Everything we needed, nothing we didn’t. Very comfortable beds and a surprisingly quiet stay. Love the window that opens out above the street, just so pretty. Air con, great bathroom, super clean. We were very happy here. Staff very helpful and didn’t mind speaking English at all. Safe and fridge in room.

The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom featured a fantastic overhead shower —perfect for relaxing after a long day. The window with its small balcony offered a lovely view and allowed fresh air to flow in. The location was excellent, with plenty of restaurants, a supermarket, and easy access to the metro all within walking distance.

Suggest a handrail for people to step in and out of bathtub safely.

The location was great as it was right between three different tube stations, making travel very convenient. Lots of bars/restaurants/cafés in the area. The staff were very friendly. I had to work during the week and they gave me space in the downstairs area to set up and work. The rooms were always cleaned and the bedroom was a good size. It is very good value for money, in comparison to other hotels.

It was a tiny bit noisy when other people were in the hallway, however you could not hear anyone when they were in their rooms. So this is very very minor.

Very pleasant hotel in a very pleasant neighbourhood. The double room was surprisingly spacious, clean and with a simple modern design. The furnishings seemed new and were well taken care of. Exceptionally comfortable mattress. We had a street-facing room on a high floor, which had a nice view of the lively street, but the windows blocked the noise. Friendly receptionist. Recommended!

Everything! From the moment I first walked in to avail myself of the bag drop, things were just perfect. The staff were warm and welcoming and the hotel had a true relaxed feel about it. The location was ideal, being just a few metres away from Rue Saint Maur Metro Station with a good connection to other parts of the city. My room was clean with a comfortable bed and powerful shower, just the thing after a long day out sightseeing. I would definitely recommend!
