Our stay at this beautiful hotel was simply exceptional! This is not a typical commercial or chain hotel - it’s a charming, unique place with a truly Parisian character. If you’re looking for something special and authentic, rather than a “mass-market” experience, this is the perfect choice. The location could not be better -right in the heart of Paris, within walking distance of iconic landmarks such as the Louvre, the Luxembourg Gardens, Notre-Dame, and the Panthéon. Exploring the city was effortless and incredibly enjoyable. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with outstanding service. The gentleman at the reception was always happy to give advice on where to go and what to eat, making our stay even more memorable. Breakfasts were simply delightful – a true French-style start to the day, with fresh pastries, quality coffee, and a cozy atmosphere. There is truly nothing to complain about. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. We would highly recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic and beautiful boutique stay in Paris!

This hotel in Paris is absolute gem! We just returned from a family vacation to Paris and were delighted that we'd chosen the Hotel Relais du Vieux. Great location in the 6th arrondissement near metro on a quaint quiet alley. It is located in a fabulous neighborhood within walking distance of countless cafes and shops. The rooms were small but lovely, clean and well equipped (great AC even in a Paris heat wave). This is a small boutique hotel and the staff was incredibly helpful. They went out of their way to assist us with anything we needed! We would return if we are lucky enough to visit Paris again soon.

Every morning, the coffee and croissants were excellent. The staff was absolutely outstanding for their help and just chatting. The location was superb. It was in walking distance of major attractions and areas in Paris -- for example, the Latin Quarter, Notre Dame, downtown Paris, and wonderful restaurants.

The room was small but very clean and functional. We only slept and cleaned-up in the room, the rest of the day was exploring Paris and the country side. The elevator was tiny. Two people max, one person with luggage. I was informed that this was common for the older parts of Paris.

We had a fantastic stay! The A/C and water pressure were great, and the beds very comfortable. The building has old-world charm, with beautiful exposed beams and thoughtfully decorated rooms. The location is ideal - walking distance to many attractions and right by Metro Line 4 to quickly zoom to others. The breakfast option is nice, though the neighborhood bakeries are hard to beat. If you're arriving by or being picked up by taxi, ask to be dropped at Quai Saint-Michel, as the narrow one-way streets near the hotel are often blocked with delivery drivers to the restaurants. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They truly made us feel welcome.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our stay here. The concierges were so amazing. Such kind people. We had the best trip, our first Paris experience was better than I could have ever hoped for. I only wish it were longer! Most comfortable beds, and the room, lobby and areas were so clean, and beautifully decorated. Incredible breakfast and delicious coffee! 10/10 will stay here again on our next trip! Thank you so much! We brought our 15 year old triplets with us and it was the trip of a lifetime. Hotel du Vieux made it all the more special and made for some precious memories!

The location and the hotel staff were excellent and the hotel itself was very clean. Our second time staying there.

The mattress and bottom sheet could hardly be less comfortable- hard, lumpy & the sheet like sandpaper (though the duvet cover & duvet were lovely). Just truly needs a good mattress topper & nicer bottom sheet.

Fantastic location—just a 6–7 minute walk to Notre Dame, surrounded by great restaurants and bakeries. The room was very clean with super comfortable beds. The front desk staff were friendly, helpful, and trustworthy. They kindly stored our luggage both before check-in and after checkout, which made our days much easier. Breakfast was nice, though we only tried it once given the many nearby options. This hotel felt like staying at a best friend’s home—reliable and welcoming.

The location was wonderful and the staff was helpful and supportive. They did everything they could to make our stay in Paris enjoyable. They helped with navigating the city (helped with train directions and reservations for attractions), and ensured that our needs were addressed (where to eat? Grocery store, pharmacy etc). The hotel is close to shopping and restaurants/cafes, but is quiet and approachable. We would stay there again.

Absolutely marvellous staff. A good size room for Paris. The room had a mezzanine area and a large bathroom with a bath. The view out of the bathroom dorma window looked like the rooftops in The Aristocats. Located in a nice area (Latin Quarter), close to many good restaurants and the metro/RER. We got a train direct from Charles de Gaul airport to 3 minutes walk from the hotel. Close to Notre Dame. Our room was very quiet: even with windows open there was no traffic or outside noise at all. Lovely decor and bed linen. Instant hot water in the shower and bath and top notch water pressure.

The room doors slammed very loudly with the door closures so disturbed us when other people entered/exited their rooms.

First goes first the people. All the staff in reception were very kind and helpful. Jean Marie is the best. The room was very clean, something that is very important for us and comes above all services. Also, it was spacious(for two adults and a kid).The beds were very comfortable. Always hot water, and the heat was working fine. Quiet even with a renovation happening in the building behind. The location is excellent,close to metro station and between Louvre and Notre Dame.

For us, everything was fine, but some people may find difficult to step in and out the bathtub. Maybe a stool would help. Also there is a small elevator, but if you choose the stairs to go up to your room, the steps are narrow and small.
