The room was lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very nice breakfast too.

The water in the shower did not drain away fast enough. Had to stop the shower many times during a wash to prevent the water flowing out onto the tiles of the bathroom. Guessing the drain needs cleaning of built up hair.

We absolutely loved our stay. The very first impression was the lovely staff who greet you with a smile and were always so helpful. We had booked both a deluxe with balcony and a standard room and both were very beautiful with very comfortable beds. Our rooms were cleaned every single day. Breakfast was delicious. One of the hotel’s best advantages is the location - we loved the Latin quarter so much and if you want to go down to the more “touristy” locations there’s plenty of transportation around the hotel and Notre Dame is just minutes away. We were looking for a typical Parisian experience and we definitely received that! A big bonus is the proximity to the L'Orée du Parc bistro which was our everyday dining spot. We could not have stayed at a better place! Thank you!

Charming hotel located in a lovely area very near to the gardens of Luxembourg and very handy for RER service from/to CDG. Many sights within walking distance but also used bus service with our Navigo passes. Hotel is spotlessly clean and had efficient housekeeping by a very nice lady from Mauritius. Breakfast was varied and beautifully presented by a very hospitable lady who took great pride in her profession. Check-in was effortless and Reception staff were helpful with suggestions and advice. Our room had magnificent dreamy views of the floodlit Pantheon and set us up for a great night's sleep in a very comfortable bed.

Bathroom was rather small in size but, in fairness, was probably reflective of the period in which building was constructed. Otherwise, my wife and I were unable to find any faults with this hotel.

The rooms were beautifully French and well presented. The director was so welcoming, warm and friendly with a great sense of humour. We loved our stay!

The room was spacious and airy, with good views. The reception area was also well presented, with charming French decor. The staff were exceptional! They were very welcoming and friendly, responding professionally to any request. The manager was wonderful in looking after us, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We thoroughly recommend the hotel!

Although the room itself was spacious, we thought the bathroom was a little small. As a consequence, the shower screen was too short, so the floor experienced 'over-splash'. Overall, however, this was a minor factor.

Location was perfect, 5 mins walk away from Luxembourg metro station, pretty fresh and safe part of the city that is very close to Luxembourg Gardens, the Seine river, to many supermarkets, restaurants and to Sorbonne University, churches, monuments and other touristic areas. Our room (with butterfly wallpaper) was on first floor, with big windows looking down to the road. However sound insulation was perfect, we werent disturbed by any sounds at night. Staff was fantastic, very friendly, helpful and we appreciate all the great tips Stefania (at front desk) gave us about the city. Mme Nadia at breakfast area has been great, made us lovely fresh breakfasts during our one week stay. Violet at front desk was also very helpful with any questions we had just like all other staff members. We appreciate all the staff members even though we sadly dont remember everyone's names, sorry about that. It has been a great stay. We highly recommend Relais Saint James Hotel in Paris.

Everything was perfect

Amazing experience at this lovely hotel in the Latin Quarter of Paris. You won’t believe the view from the balcony - it’s straight out of a postcard! The hotel has a charming design and a quiet street right outside your door. The room was exactly as pictured! We enjoyed the robes, L’Occitane toiletries, and in-room breakfast. After a long flight and jet lag, it was the perfect way to start the day. The staff was super friendly and helpful, making sure everything was in order. This was our second time in Paris for a mother-daughter trip, and the Latin Quarter is our favourite district. It’s got less crowded, bigger streets, and a more relaxed, artsy vibe. We love finding unique boutiques and shopping in the area. It’s just a short walk away from Luxembourg Gardens. Overall, it was an incredible experience, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Paris.

Smaller rooms however this is normal for the area and price point.

Beautiful small hotel, in a fantastic location, with good sized rooms, decorated with great taste, very comfy beds, and lovely shower and bath. The breakfast was very good too. Loved the small fresh Croissants. The staff were very helpful and pleasant, the rooms were cleaned daily, and had small L'occitane toiletries, which were a nice bonus. We also loved the little bar/coffee room near the entrance, which felt cozy, warm and inviting. The hotel is very close (3 minute walk) to Jardin du Luxembourg, and Boulevard Saint Michel, with buses, Metro and RER stations near by, and many restaurants, bars, cafes, bakeries and shops, including a lovely food market - Marche Mouffetard, just 10 minutes walk from there. Loved this hotel, highly recommend it.

Helpful staff. Quiet location but close to a main boulevard so was ideal, views across to Pantheon and tree-lined road from our little sunny balcony were lovely first thing each morning. There’s a lift. Breakfast was great quality & a decent selection of fruits, yoghurts, breads, pastries, crepes, continental meats/cheeses as well as potato cubes/scrambled eggs each day. Room was exactly as described and decorated nicely. Tea/coffee in rooms, complimentary grapes & bottled water for us upon arrival, comfortable bed & pillows & shower was great too! Cafe on corner of the road was friendly. Nearest train stop is 5 mins from hotel - ‘Luxembourg’ (3stops on RER train from Gare du Nord) or Cluny Sorbonne Metro (10-15 min walk from hotel - yellow line).
