Location… it ticked all the boxes…. Easy to get to Walkable to everywhere Feeling of safety Transport close by Very clean and fresh
Ok…. Even though you have the 2nd floor hub… there is no “communal lounge” type feeling of a hostel…. No exchange over cooking and eating, no chairs or sofas to seat on unless in the “business hub” And…. I know this is France but…… Where I come from we have healthy rules about smoking…. I slept two floors up from the “business hub” and its outdoor smokers area… yip… it’s obvious, out dorm stank of 2nd hand cigarette smoke….. very bad design.

Friendly staff, good facilities, great location, safe and clean.
There needs to be better house rules that perhaps get mentioned at checking in to be more respectful of the people you share a room with.Stayed in an all girl dorm room with 3 other girls traveling separately. Some woke up before 6 others at 6 am to pack and organize their bags, turned on the lights, had full on conversations and one girl proceeded to blow dry her hair next to my headspace at 6:30 am. When asking her to not do that next to me and to do that in the restrooms she didn't stop. Overall it took them all over an hour to pack and go. It was very rude and awful way to start the day.

Location Room size is okay, bathroom too Beds are comfortable enough that you can sit in it without hitting your head
In the bathroom: No shelf - they are keeping the body wash provided by them on the floor and no shelf to even keep a small soap; no hooks - where is a person supposed to hang the towels, clothes etc?; housekeeping of the bathroom is not done everyday, was not expecting that; hand wash - mid stay the hand wash in the bathroom was over and I informed the reception. Despite that it was not filled, I had to carry my personal soap each time to the bathroom even though there is a dispenser. Room: there are hooks for towels but the hooks aren't numbered bedwise. There were 3 towels hanging already when I moved in even though only 1 bed was occupied. Clearly left over from previous occupants. There is no storage for a suitcase.

The 4-bed-dorm was spacious and I liked that you had everything you needed at the bed (curtain, light, sockets, locker). Also the location and the bar on the 2nd floor were great.
There are no hangers for towels or clothes in the bathroom. So you need to put you stuff on the floor or the toilet, what I found really weird. No access to the rooftop and also other floors were not accessible. I didn‘t see any activities to connect with other travelers. For what the hostel has to offer, it‘s way too expensive.

overall its a very nice place for a quick stay on a budget, overall clean, and with the basics to be able to enjoy Paris. GREAT location.
the noise from the street, the fact that their AC was broken.

Friendly vibe, efficient and safe location, 24-hour staff… Everything was decent. I know many reviews already highlight the good points, so instead, I’ll share a few tips I figured out during my stay. 1. If you’re coming back late after watching the Eiffel Tower light show or something similar and looking for a supermarket, a place called Célestines Market can be an option. It’s open until 2 AM and is popular for late-night River Seine picnics. 2. If you’re in the mood for a short, relaxing walk, I recommend Île Saint-Louis. You can start at one end of the island and walk to the other. The location of The People Paris Marais makes it a convenient starting point. 3. If you want to enjoy a nighttime city view but feel uneasy walking alone, take Bus 72 and sit on the right side. You’ll pass by several iconic spots in Paris, including the Eiffel Tower on the return route. 4. If you come down to the lobby and feel too lazy to go back up just to use the bathroom, you can find one easily on the 2nd floor before entering the restaurant. Overall, I think this place is worth staying at. Its location is perfect for those who love walking and want to explore key spots in Paris.
I kinda have hurt my back before visiting The People - Paris Marais, so it was a bit difficult to get up on the upper side bunk bed, while the edge of beds - like veneers - is a bit peeled off; it was not a big problem, but I think you have to watch out ur hands just in case!

We stayed there for 10 nights. The chill rooms, shared kitchen, bar&restaurant is super nice and clean. The energy inside the hotel was great, so fun to stay there. There’s also locker room down the basement. The location is the best, it is right infront of the Sully-Morland exit 1 metro stop. Very convenient. the view from the private room on the 7th floor is magnificent. You can see beautiful roof scape of Paris
You have to pay for the locker to leave the luggage at the hotel which I found it a bit ridiculous since I’ve paid quite some money to stay at the private room for 10 days. I still think this kind of service should be free. But good thing is it is very safe and convenient since u just have to do it yourself and no one can interfere with ur belongings. The hotel could’ve inform the guess about the pushed-tap shower a bit. I totally understand about the sustainable theme of the hotel. It is a bit disappointing that I have to push the faucet every 30 seconds just to shower. I did not enjoy my shower at all. The hotel can also provide the laundry room in the future if possible

It was clean, modern and convenient. Great location, has an elevator, kitchen and restaurant/bar. Having an en-suite bathroom was great, and I appreciate the bunks with plenty of shelving, dimmable lighting, and comfortable bedding.
It generally felt overpriced. The point of a hostel is that they are meant to be affordable. I switched to a different hostel in the Marais with a better location for half the price. It might not be as fancy and modern but honestly, most of the conveniences of The People just aren’t that important. Plus the restaurant was closed when I was there, which they didn’t tell me in advance when I booked. Maybe you can get better prices here if you plan more in advance but the weekend prices I saw were upwards of 100€. Paris has many decent hostels that are much cheaper. I only booked one night because I was getting in late on a train to Gare de Lyon and wanted something close to the station.

I mainly chose this hostel for the location. It is near Pont Sully and from here it is easy to walk along the Seine to notable places such as Pont Neuf. The rooms, beds, and bathrooms are tidy. There are storage lockers in each room to store valuables throughout the day. There are curtains on each bunk, which provides privacy. Inside each bunk is a charging port, mirror and a considerable amount of storage space given the size of the bunk.
The showers only turn on for ten seconds, and the water pressure is weak particularly when using hot water. This was inconvenient rather than something which ruined my experience, however. There is also not air conditioning in the rooms, which made it quite hot in the summer evenings. It was manageable but it might be best to stay here in the cooler months.
