We were interested in visiting locations familiar to the artist Vincent van Gogh. The hotel is situated just a few minutes walk from our places of interest. Also, the hotel is a short walk from the station (about 10 minutes). The owners were welcoming and bilingual. Our room had a beautiful view over the river and we enjoyed a magnificent sunset. The interior decor is interesting. Our room was reasonably spacious and comfortable, with a large bathroom. See photo of our view from bedroom window.

Nothing at all of any significance. No lift (elevator) but we didn't mind, or expect one.

It may be billed as a two star hotel, but honestly everything about it was fabulous, the management is very welcoming, the rooms are very neat and tidy, it absolutely does the job if you are visiting Arles. The location is excellent as it is located just inside the city wall so you don’t have to walk so far with your luggage. If you are driving your car, the hotel can see the traffic control barrier from the door and they will lower it for you so you can park right next to the hotel.

The location, the room, the AC and the beds were fantastic!! Also the lady in the reception was very kind. Also, it was a good thing to have a kettle for a tea.

There is no lift so it can make it a bit tiring if you have heavy luggage or you have difficulty on climbing stairs. Also, the wify did not work ( was not strong enough). It would be good if there was a mini fridge

Great location right on the river and a very short walk to the old city centre. With exhibitions and galleries all within a short walking distance. Room was bigger than I expected and very comfortable.

There was honestly nothing about this hotel I didn't like. It was affordable and had a great location. For the price, the room was big - I've stayed in tiny hotel rooms in France for similar or more money. But it's not fancy - it's basic, but worth the money in my opinion.

Firstly, the hotel is convenient for the railway station, and it is more or less on the bank of the Rhone, just a short walk from the centre and the attractions. The staff were pleased to speak French to us at a pace we could understand. The room was small but big enough for us. The breakfast room was light and the breakfast itself was good.

What is there not to like? I suppose you can't see the river because of flood defences, but what should you expect?

Handy for the station and the town centre. Clean and comfortable, large breakfast buffet (I'd have liked fresh fruit to be included, but otherwise plenty of choice, and delicious fresh bread and croissants etc). Above all the owners were very helpful, friendly and welcoming.

Hardly anything (see above re breakfast!). The hotel has soft water which takes a bit of getting used to. Otherwise nothing.

My room was small, and when I arrived it didn't smell very nice. The curtains didn't fit, and it wasn't until my second night I realised there was a button for some excellent window blinds. My wall lights didn't work.

Everything, from the welcome to checkout and even after that, this hotel and its operators are exceptional. My room was huge and had a view straight over the river. The bathroom alone was bigger than some hotel rooms I've had recently. I book places based on price and proximity to the train station. Hotel Regence delivered above all expectations. Thank you!

Everything was great.

It was difficult to find and then to get into. Once there, it was conveniently located to places to eat and for a stroll through old town. The staff was very helpful, helping to carry bags as one of our party had had recent shoulder surgery and couldn’t lift.

A little better instructions as to how to actually get to the hotel would be nice.

A wonderful place to stay. A crisis happened to my mother and I meant we needed help. This trip was saved by the amazing staff at Le Regence. It was a great place to land after long days. I can't wait to come back and stay under less stressful circumstances.

This is a lovely hotel! HOWEVER! There's no elevator! But that's not normally a problem.
