Excellent top-rated modern hotel with all comforts and amenities. We stayed one night on 28 May 2025. The Hotel-Restaurant for lunch and dinner is very good, and in the same spacious location, Breakfast is an enormous Buffet that outstrips every buffet we have ever seen before in sumptuousness and richness of choices. The hotel location is perfect on the main street in the old beautiful city of Augsburg. Car parking in the next-door public parkade is also convenient (for an additional day-rate). Nice touch: upon our departure, we were given a bottle of drinking water for the onward journey.

Nothing negative to say. One note of caution if you are a light sleeper and still want to sleep with open windows: rooms that face the main street can be exposed to noisy people on the street who party on week-end nights when the weather is hot. However, the hotel windows close and insulate you from outside noise if you are willing to sleep with the very silent air conditioning in the room.

A very nice hotel in the centre. The staff were very friendly. My room was nicely furnished, comfortable and clean. It was good to have private parking, although it was a little expensive. The windows are very well soundproofed, so you can't hear anything from the street. There is also air conditioning. It was great that there was a summer blanket instead of a thick winter duvet. An extra touch I appreciated was the Molton Brown shower gel and body lotion, which I really like.

Perhaps one thing is that although the room was quiet, you could hear chairs being moved which was probably coming from the restaurant.

It is Superb. Unbeatable location in the main avenue with grandeur. Beautiful property perfectly maintained. Our suite was stunning, comfortable, full of amenities, with gorgeous details and a grand view. Service everywhere was perfect, efficient, kind, warm. I would go as far as to say that you need to stay at this hotel to fully experience the essence of Augsburg. It is one of those cities where your stay at the hotel is the first and nicest memory that will come to your head once you’re back home.

Everything is perfect. The only thing not to like about this hotel is having to leave at the end of your stay. Haha

Hotel Maximilian is the best hotel ever. We traveled a lot but this is the no 1 for us. I love everything here. The rooms are great, the bathrooms...large, clean. I feel like home. I remember one night we came from a long driving way, tired, it was cold outside, and after a few minutes we entered the room, a lady came and asked us if we needed more towels or water to drink. It was the maximum sign of care that we received from a hotel ever.

- best location in town - staff were professional - breakfast was delicious - lobby looked great - the paintings are a treat to look at in the whole premises - loved the room - tv was to my liking - the fridge was cold - usually service or orders even if they were simple get charged on departure I asked for ice which was delivered for free to my room

- arrived early and would’ve appreciated an early check in since the hotel wasn’t crowded - the single door for the toilet and shower is not a very bright idea - the soap or hand wash smells bad

It was a lovely and modern hotel that was very clean. The rooms were lovely and the beds were really comfortable. Everything was nice and luxurious and the service was brilliant. We absolutely loved the breakfast and the variety of things that were offered. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Only a tiny thing- there was an envelope left by the room service team indicating that we should leave a tip. Whilst this is often expected, it was very overt and very American, despite being in Germany

More or less everything. Excellent welcome and very helpful staff. Excellent room, very large and quiet and well heated (it was winter). Even though we were on the main street, the acoustic insulation was quite OK, and no noise came from the street or elsewhere. Large and perfectly functioning bathroom. Excellent breakfast in a large and nice room with plenty of choice (even real orange juice, for a change). Parking very close and easy to reach from inside the hotel. Very good location to walk downtown. On the whole, a recommendable 5 star hotel: expensive, not tremendously fancy (and we don't like too fancy hotels which charge for silly things), but overall worth it.

In 1763 Mozart's family stayed here. The Sculpture of Drei Mohren was so nice. Bar and the restaurant were so fascinating.

The original hotel name shall be used. It does not harm any discrimination.

Fantastic location and very nice hotel - parking was convenient.

The AC was awful—one room was extremely hot, and even with a fan provided in the middle of the night, it didn’t help. We specifically chose this hotel for the AC, so it was disappointing. We were able to switch rooms after the first night, but the AC was still subpar.

The hotel is beautiful, perfect location. Our room (202) was excellent, the bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was huge. We didn't book breakfast but had breakfast in their cafe/restaurant. The Eggs Benadict was delicious. We will definitely return.

Someone knocking on our door at 8.30 pm, only to find out in the morning the hotel offers a turndown service. I've never been offered one before, so it came as a bit of a shock.
