We were pleasantly surprised. The hotel doesn't look luxurious in the photos, but it has charm and we really liked it compared to network hotels that all look similar to each other. Great location close to a tram stop and for Berlin it's like living in the city centre. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was varied and tasty. The room exceeded expectations. We were hoping for a regular room for two persons, but were accommodated in a loft studio - it was great! The studio was cosy and clean. In addition, there was a kitchen in the studio and everything you need down to the smallest detail for a comfortable stay.

As the room was unoccupied before we arrived, it was a little cold on the first night but then it warmed up quickly.

Beautiful old building and court yard ❤️ Helpful and friendly staff. Clean and quiet room with a great view and nice old windows. Lovely breakfast for an additional charge. Excellent location to explore the city, as the tram stop is literally right outside. The Friedrichhain Park is a walking distance away, and we really enjoyed chilling by the fountains and ponds there. I highly recommend it!

The room was a lot smaller than in the pictures. The space between the bed and window was almost non-existent, which led to bruising my leg on the radiator under the window sill. I would recommend checking that the room you book has adequate space to move around. It was rather claustrophobic at times. Also a big minus is the lack of air conditioning, especially in hot weather, so I suggest visiting earlier or later in the year.

From the moment we arrived at the hotel we felt very welcome, Thorsten is a font of knowledge about Berlin and he was very kind. Please don’t be put of this hotel by the rather unexciting outside facade, inside is spotlessly clean and tidy. We had breakfast in some local cafes to experience the local food, however, the hotel breakfast was fabulous. On departure, you must leave your room by 11am, although you can leave your bags in a locked office if you have a late flight. Also, the hotel is very close to a tram stop on the M4 line. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Berlin.

The breakfast each morning was fantastic. You are provided orange juice, coffee, plate full of toppings to make a sandwich. I loved how warm the bread was! The rooms were also very clean and the beds were comfortable. Since the weather was not too hot or too cold outside during the trip, the temperature in the room was fantastic. You are able to open the windows yourself and the view we had was towards the inner courtyard which was so cute.

Not really any cons but the one thing that you must know is that the elevators do not actually take you to the floor that you need. For example, if your room is on the second floor, you ride up on the half floor and then have to go up stairs the rest of the way. On the third floor you would have to go up half a flight of stairs after getting off the elevator. It is tough if you have a lot of suitcases or they are heavy. But this is only upon arriving and leaving this really stands out with suitcases and the rest of the time it didn't really matter cause we just walked up the stairs.

Staff were really helpful and accommodating as we were very late arriving due to train cancellations from Amsterdam. We were offered a free upgrade from a double room to an apartment at no additional cost so we had lots of space. Breakfast was very good with eggs, meat, cheese and fruit. We saw there was an outside area which is probably lovely in the summer (it was too cold in March). There was a tram stop just outside 2 stops from Alexander Platz which was convenient for visiting the city sites.

We liked everything - the only regret we had was that we couldn't stay longer than 3 nights.

Very good location and located in old altbau in calm inner yard. Gives you a feeling like you are in an apartment and what we were looking for. Comfy bed and enough room for 2. Prenzlauer Berg is known to be one of the best and safest areas of Berlin, and the hotel is easily connected to Mitte. Can easily walk everywhere. The room temperature was perfect and not too warm. You can also open the windows and let some fresh air in and not depentant on the aircon which is much nicer. The hotel staff was very friendly, even though in our 4 day stay it was always different person in reception :D Nice is that they also offer early chec in if there are rooms already free. Good value for money!

A little bit more attention could be put to cleaning - there was quite a layer of dust on surfaces that I cleaned myself. Otherwise, the room was clean. We were lucky that other quests were calm, but a bit louder can definitely hear from the corridor or if someone walks upstairs. Didn't bother us. The aircon that goes on with life in the bathroom is very loud, can be a bit annoying during night when other sleeps and you need to use the bathroom

The room was nice and quiet. Public transport by tram was easy - within 5 minutes at Alexanderplatz. The quarter has a relaxed and atmosphere of Berliner hospitality. Staff was alert and supportive.

Some more light in the room would have been pleasant. It was possible to use the elevator - but then you need to use the stairs because the elevator stops in between the stories. For older people: you only need to go the stairs down below and that will work well ( I carried the rollator of my mother on the stairs).

Cute little room, very good temperature inside, had everything you need, free water and tea, nice view into a calm area of berlin, good transportation with tram line right in front of the hotel

Breakfast was too much for one person in my opinion, no buffet option, it was served on the table with a big selection. Later i saw a couple at breakfast which had the same portion as me which was more adequate than for me as a single person , other than that all good

Honestly I disliked nothing. Oh well, the walls could be a bit more sound-proof. You have to take the tram to get there, but it is really close to the tram stop and trams in Berlin are very reliable.

We were there with our son and our friends, so we booked two separate rooms. We enjoyed the provided breakfast. The place is close to the tram-stop and also there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Playground also is very close to the place.

It's an old building and the elevator is "outside", so it stops between floors. If you have heavy luggages and/or stroller, you need climb up or down a couple of stairs to get your level. It's not a big issue, but be prepared :-)
