The hotel is very nicely located, steps away from the pedestrian zone in the old city of Bonn. The check-in process was swift and efficient. Staff are very welcoming and nice. The single room I booked was extremely well appointed and beautifully nicely and functionally decorated. I loved the comfort of the bed and the wonderful shower. The view over the street was also nice, especially given the higher floor. Breakfast is absolutely amazing! The lady serving it was so nice and attentive in finding me a free table in the packed breakfast area. Serving tea or coffee at the table was such a nice and personal touch you don't find so often nowadays. The buffet consists in a great variety of dishes, including some amazing home-made specialties to suite every taste. All in all, I had one of my most relaxing stays ever as a singe traveller!

Stay: April 25 to 26 2024. This hotel was a great finding as it is very centrally located in Bonn, in the between the Altstadt (where may restaurants for dinner are located) and the central area of the city (literally, walking distance). Main attractions are located there. You are given a key for your room and the front door so you can come and go at will. Breakfast was awesome and plentiful to carry on for the day, and the staff was kind and attentive. The hotel has an elevator which makes things easier for those with large luggage. The neighborhood might seem sketchy, but we felt very safe at all times, even at night. There is no parking available (we knew that...) but for your overnight and daily use, the 3 min away walk Stiftsgarage Bonn is the way to go. The garage is very affordable and safe.

Like in many hotels we visit, a night light in the bathroom was missing. Those are good to have in case the guests need for a bio-stop in the early hours of the morning when everything is still dark, and you wake up not really knowing where you are. Those lights would prevent the use of main lights throughout the night. An extra stand for a carry-on luggage would also help.

Very nice host with a positive attitude. Perfect communication. Self check in. Well maintained facilities. Cleanliness. Delicious breakfast. Cosy breakfast room. Comfortable mattress. Windows can be opened. Easy access from the central station with public transport. (4 min.with a tram then 3 min. walk to the hotel) Numerous eateries around the hotel. Less than 10 min walk to the city center.

Nothing that we didn't like.

Hotel Deutsches Haus is perfectly located, with various restaurants, shops, and public transport options nearby. Our room on the second floor was ideal, featuring coffee/tea facilities, ample storage space, a very spacious bathroom, and a surprisingly lovely view of the Stiftskirche. The breakfast selection was excellent, offering delicious fruits, breads, cheeses, meats, yoghurt, and some hot dishes. The reception desk staff were welcoming and helpful, making the check-in process a breeze.

We were traveling from Italy to Netherlands by car and decided to stop in Bon to check out a little the city center. We chose the hotel for its central location few minutes walk to main attractions: Beethoven House, Old City Hall and few others. We arrived after the check-in hours and we received very clear instructions how to get the key to the room and how to find it upfront. The room was not big but was sufficient and comfortable. In the room we found a lot of materials how you can spend a day in Bon even with a walking tour suggestion. We were impressed by the breakfast, so many absolute delicious and fresh options. Definitely will keep this hotel on my list of favorites!

The room was nice and the hotel is well-located. We were pleased with the many nearby parking options and the staff was very kind and explained everything clearly. The breakfast was also great. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this place.

We were quite disappointed that one of our rooms did not have a fan. Since it was very hot, this made for a very uncomfortable stay.

Location was down a slightly “sketchy“ street from old town, but only steps away from a nice street with restaurants and shops from the other direction. (Great Indian restaurant one minute walk away!) The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff in the dining room exceedingly friendly and kind. appreciated the elevator.

Bathroom lacked “amenities”. Only a weird soap dispenser (a cylindrical structure clamped to the wall that you needed to squeeze very hard with one hand in order to capture some soap in the other.) for both the shower and the sink. Pretty weak hairdryer. Not a problem if you bring all your own things but we were trying to travel VERY light on this trip.

Very nice and cozy hotel with wonderful staff. The rooms are elan and big and the price is really good. The Breakfast was wonderful considering the freshness and variations.

The staff were very friendly. The hotel is spotlessly clean.We stayed for a night to rest and continue our journey the next day. We had such a pleasant stay that I wish we could have stayed a bit more. Coffee and tea available in the room. The beds are super comfy, the rooms are nice and warm in winter.

Excellent breakfast. Different options (homemade pancakes, a lot of fruit, eggs in different ways, muffins, different bread and toasts, juices, different kind of yoghurts and so on)

Only thing lacking was a Cosy space where we could wait our friends (hotel bar or lounge). But there are enough bars in the neighbourhood, so this was only a small inconvenience)
