The location of the hotel is very good. It is a 7 min walk from the central train station with a variety of shops and eateries in the vicinity. It takes about 15 min to walk along the river to the Iron Bridge and you are then in the Roemer square. The Museum bank is directly across the river. I really loved the location.
Although the hotel explains their cleaning policy, it would be much better if the cleaning stuff did the daily checks of the rooms (empty the bins, restock the water). I booked a cleaning for Saturday and it did not happen. So I had to rebook for Monday. So our bins did not get emptied for 3 days because of this.

Fantastic hotel. Very friendly staff. Room was exceptional design and clean. Breakfast was exceptional - variety of food and a very nice juice machine. Very rich and tasty. For sure I will be glad to return to this hotel in the next visit Frankfurt The hotel location is very good - walking distance to museums and river and to Central Train Station
The hotel is located near the Central Train Station and the way to hotel is routed via unsafe neighborhood, even in the day light, sure not at the evening No nearby bus station or metro - so if you need public transportation you will need to go to the Train Central Station or to other distanced station. If you prefer to go by taxi - no problem since taxi is always parking in front of the hotel.

This is a wonderful business hotel close to Frankfurt Hbf. While you are within 7 minutes to the station, the hotel is located in a quiet street just a block from the river -- you can't get a location better than this! There are plenty of options for food (and retail kiosks) within a 10 minutes walking radius. If you need to get some food at odd hours, the hotel has a small counter beside the reception selling snacks, wraps, salads and lunch bowls -- it was a lifesaver for us when we came back to the hotel after an event, close to midnight, really hungry, when all restaurants were closed. The reception is 24/7 staffed, with amazing service, patience and professional attitude. We availed breakfast on our last day -- it had a lovely spread -- quite healthy and hearty, befitting a true business hotel. They also have options for dinner and drinks, which we did not avail. We did not avail the full room-cleaning services during our short stay, respecting the green cause of the hotel, but the reception was kind to provide us with a couple of extra towels upon request. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and will recommend everyone visiting Frankfurt to stay here.
The only issue we faced in our room was with the air conditioning system. It seems to be an old-school centralized AC with some custom control in your room for the temperature and air flow. However, the temperature dial in our room did not seem to work -- anything from 20C to 10C had the same effect. In terms of the air flow, even at the highest level, it was not adequate to cool the room during the warm days. At night, it was adequate, and we had a comfortable sleep.

Wonderful breakfast with lots to choose from—-granolas, yogurt, muesli station; waffle station; charcuterie station; English style breakfast with bake beans, roasted veggies, bacon, eggs, and sausages. They even have a juicer for fresh fruit juices. Great location. We walked to main train station and Christmas markets.
You have to pay extra to check in early even if it’s just one hour earlier. Because of this, the check in line is out the door once it’s the official time to check in. Seemed very inefficient and poor planning on their part. They don’t refund or give guests credits for checking out early so why are they charging guests for checking in an hour earlier when the room is available and ready. Crazy.

The location is very close to the river Main and to the main train station (Hbf). The breakfast is really excellent, but quite expensive. The room is very comfortable and, in case of high floors, has a great view. The gym is also very good.
In my previous stay, the hotel would provide a large bottle of water everyday in the room, which was nice and convenient. This time, just one bottle in the first day. The breakfast is excellent, but very expensive on top of a reasonably expensive hotel rate. Early check in and late check out, which used to be a courtesy and still are in most hotels is charged. In summary, to have a little more comfort and convenience one has to pay for each thing, which adds up and is not so friendly.

The bar tender is extremely friendly and helpful. Drink selections are more than adequate. With outdoors sitting, its great for cigar smoking (although it was not weather permitting during my stay - too hot). Water pressure from the shower is very good even though I was staying on one of the top floors. Brilliant.
The overall appearance of the hotel (i.e. hallway and elevator, for example) is dated and could benefit from some refreshing decoration or up-to-date renovation. When I walked into my room, the entrance area appears to be sticky maybe from the chemical leftover from floor cleaning. Fortunately, I brought my single-use slippers. Oh yeah.....there are no free slippers in the bedroom.

We had a suite. We arrived early and they put an expedite on the cleaning of our room. Very exceptional room, hardwood floors, shower plus bath, in two separate areas of the master bath. His and her sinks, king bed. There was an anteroom living room and separate guest bathroom. The anteroom included a small kitchen area with a half fridge. There was another small minibar fridge. Our Euro plugs worked in the electric socket for charging devices. ( We found out later in another hotel that only a special German adapter worked so good thing we brought both styles on our journey.) Staff was very friendly and spoke English. Breakfast was included! And we were on the top floor and could see the river Main from the window of our room. The morning we checked out we took a stroll along the river after breakfast. Superb!
No complaints.

I really like staying at this Scandic, which I did twice for business reasons. It is at the better, safer and way more silent part of the notoriously complicated main station area, has windows looking to the river side with nice view, always large and clean rooms with comfortable items like couches, desk, a fridge, an ironing board with the iron, luggage space, a bathroom with plenty of surface to place your belongings. Breakfast is diversified with both warm and cold options.
The beds are unfortunately a little worn out, with a sunken mid part, and the pillows are classical German hotel pillows. Breakfast pricing could be a little lower, considering even many hotels in Zurich offer breakfast lower than this.
