You wouldn't expect a good and pleasant hotel so far from the center of Munich, but this experience was so enjoyable that I didn't mind the 40-minute tram ride from the main station. The surroundings are perfect: a great view from the restaurant terrace, calm and cozy accommodations, a nearby riverbank, and forests so massive that you can't help but admire the nature around you.

There is no elevator, the rooms and bathrooms are a bit old, and the sheets are a little short, but these details are hardly noticeable, and the atmosphere more than makes up for it.

It's the second time we're staying here. And again, it was amazing! The hotel has its own atmosphere - that's why we were back! The staff and the room were very good! The restaurant is amazing! We were very pleased that the waiter recognised us 😊 the location is quite far from Munchen but its a very calm and peaceful place with amazing castle next to the hotel and view to the river. I'm sure we'll get back to the hotel again!

A bit slow internet... the only minus that we noticed

Hotel is in quiet outskirts of Munich on the edge of the Isar Valley. It is at the end of the tram line which runs into Munich. It is about 3 minutes to walk to the tram, further at the other end but by the river and in a nice part of Munich. (We could even swim in the river). The hotel itself is part of an old castle. Eggs were prepared fresh at breakfast. We were travelling with our son who had an adjacent and closely integrated room which was perfect.

There was no air-conditioning so the windows had to be thrown wide open as it was a hot summer night. Breakfast was okay but could have been more inspiring

Very nice location, next to Grünwald Castle, overviewing the Isar river, lots of greenery around. Rooms are equipped with beautiful furniture. Breakfast is served in the Restaurant (Italian) and of course there’s fantastic coffee, plus eggs on order, and a small but nice buffet.

The mattresses should be replaced, also there’s two separate mattresses in the King sized bed, which come apart, there’s room for improvement there.

Staff was extrememly helpful and breakfast was delicious.

-The property is in need of updating - carpet, artwork, and furniture are dated, stained, and tired. -We booked the property because of its outdoor space - the patio in particular. We are from Texas and were shocked that they closed the outdoors because it was "too cold" at 55 or 60 degrees- in GERMANY! -Not a great place to stay during Oktoberfest. It was very difficult to get taxis this far away from the city center.

The (twin) room was very good and spacious with a decent sized bathroom with shower. Continental breakfast was provided, with a lot of choice including cooked food. The restaurant was very popular even during the week, and although i did not pre-book a table for dinner, i was still able to get one at about 8pm - and the food was very good!

Unfortunately there was no air con in the bedroom, however a fan was provided and the window could be opened.

Breakfast, friendly staff, nice shower cabin, nice pillows on bed.

Ok, I had booked a 'single' room, but the bed was like some cod in an evacuation center. Twin mattress, no fitted sheet, but flat, and since I toss and turn, I ended up laying on the plain mattress within an hour, plus the bed squeaked at every turn I did.

Great location in terms of view across the forest, and close to tram stop. Restaurant with hotel served delicious food. Shower was powerful, bed was comfortable

Rooms very dated, but you could say this is the appeal as the hotel was a hunting lodge and is straight out of a Bavarian fairytale. Staff were not super accommodating, failed to explain how breakfast works.

Very beautiful Hotel a bit outside from the city. Pleasant landscape nearby with lots of cycle paths. Structure is in old and fashionable style with very comfortable rooms. Breakfast rich and tasteful
