Location was fantastic, close to bars, restaurants, a big park and shops, while being less than a 10 minute walk to Dammtor Train station. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It did the job for us. I know there were reviews criticising the hotel for being in need of renovation, but we had everything we needed and the shower water pressure was excellent. I think there was a little kitchen we could have used in the morning but we preferred going to the many bakeries for breakfast.

The rooms could do with a mini fridge. That's about it.

On a street closed to car traffic, opposite a beautiful old building. Dammtor Bahnhof is so close. U1 around the corner and U2 a short walk away. Many restaurants and great shopping opportunities outside the door. Beautiful, multi-faceted park is so close by. Great for my morning jog. Room 21 is meant for 3-4 people and is spacious. Great water pressure in the shower. Room service was a plus. Comfortable cotton sheets. Furnishings are 40+ years old but still in good condition. Elevator was a plus for such an old building.

The daybed in room 21 should be replaced. One can see and hear the springs. Some street noise in the morning (trash collection). I had to lock my sleeping kids into the room while I went out for a jog. This is not good for fire safety.

Very clean room and bathroom. The hotel was able to provide us with a kettle and teacups for us to use throughout our stay, which transformed our experience for the better. The location was perfect- right in the centre of Hamburg's tourist area, near shops, supermarkets, the lake, restaurants, etc. Our room was at the back, overlooking a parking lot, so very quiet except for when restaurants threw out bottles occasionally.

The curtains were not blackout, so the light does come in- and during the summer with a 4am sunrise that is a bit annoying, however solvable with an eye mask. There is also no air conditioning, though I've heard that is common in Germany where summers are usually mild, we were just lucky enough to have hot days.

This is a classic style hotel stay right in the heart of Hamburg. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean and cozy. There are many cafes and restaurants on the same street which is also a pedestrian zone. The hotel is walking distance from several metro stations.

Easy check-in, it was quite at night despite it being a Saturday night, beds were comfy but maybe too soft for some people, everything was clean, windows can be opened all the way, very close to the underground station Stephansplatz

Rooms/general interior looks a bit dated and could do with a makeover, but maybe that's just the style of the hotel, I found it a bit overpriced but we booked very last minute

All was excellent, just the bathroom light was quite dark. Didn't light up the little room enough. Literally the only tiny negative I came across though.

Close to subway stations. Has many cafes and restaurants nearby. Beside Casino The nearby convenience store closes at 10 pm and the one at jungfernstieg station closes midnight

Opera district. Easy to move from Jungfernstieg to Landungsbruken-HVV Boat station: fish market, Reeperban and Elbphilharmony (S1,S3). From Jungfernstieg to uberseequartier (U4), just one station to Miniature world, Elbphilharmony (This was so useful!). Stadtkrug and close fish resto, Fischerstube. The hotel is professionally operated with check-in and check-out. The room has an elegant high ceiling with well equipped heating.

Location is excellent. Walked to the Messehalle through the garden. Plenty of restuarants and cafes close.

Bring you own soap and shampoo. A very small sachet provided.

The location is amazing for under €1000,-, very small room but enough for me.

It was very hot in the room, but can be solved by leaving the window open.
