Needed a hotel room that was clean and functional, the room size was large with a large bathroom which contained a bath with a rain shower, spa soaps, body scrubs, body creams and a vanity kit. There was plenty of wardrobe space, desk, other furniture and mini bar with coffee machine, bathrobes and slippers. The decor of the room was very traditional (which although I prefer super modern) the room was great and bed was very comfortable. This hotel is situated next to the main hotel building, so it give the feel of staying in an apartment rather than a hotel, very quiet.

nothing as the hotel fit the purpose of what I needed. I did not use any of the other hotel facilities as I ate out due to the location being near the cafe's, restaurants and bars.

The staff was a complete mixed bag Cristian and Sophie were amazing, thank you and the others seemed a little grumpy. Cristian helped me with my car then started singing opera with the most incredible voice, complete highlight. He is amazing and so helpful :)

Quite a few stairs and I needed a bottle opener which I think should be in the room for a 4 star hotel and no could help as only one bottle opener in the bar and restaurant

The location was excellent, just a few steps from the Binnenalster and from one of the best Subway/bus stops. Very nice suite, very nicely furnished and spacious.

Depending on whether you get a room at the front, and if the weather is warm enough that you'd want the windows open - the front-most room is on a busy street which is fairly noisy late in the evening/night.

Room was gorgeous,  very spacious (3 different tables in the room). Free port. Very cool toiletries. Arguably the closest hotel to the opera, if you plan a visit.

Some misunderstanding about bathrobe and slippers, which were not in the room. Finally I did get the bathrobe, but not the slippers. But concierge was nice enough to give me a bottle of wine as a present. I still don’t know how the shower in this hotel works. May be it was broken. Had to take a bath😀

The breakfast was good. The selection of food and the service was amazing. I did think it was a little expensive for a hotel buffet however.

Expensive, and not included in the price of the room, even though the rooms were €500+ for two nights.

Breakfast was great. Superb selection of food and very helpful staff. It was unusual that we had to leave the suite and walk to the breakfast room located in the sister hotel. This took no time at all as it was next door so it wasn't far. We enjoyed the short walk, even in the rain/drizzle for some fresh air! We didn't mind it all all but it was unusual and might not suit some people.

I wasn't aware that check-in and the breakfast was at the sister hotel. Perhaps I missed that in the confirmation email so possibly my fault. Other than that, absolutely nothing.

The staff was delightful, and the room (suite) we booked was actually much larger than we anticipated. The location was great, just around the corner from the inner Alster and about 30 minute walking distance from most attractions. There's also an U-bahn just around the corner. We will happily return the next time Hamburg is on our travel plans.

The check in was slightly confusing (but it was properly explained in the email that I didn't read properly...) Being on the road side, there was a fair bit of road noise from cars, emergency vehicles, and the occasional jolly German. While the double glazed windows blocked out most of the noise, there was still some coming through. Unfortunately, due to the air-conditioning being locked on heating, we had to choose between a noisy night or fresh air. That was our only major complaint, but since we only stayed two nights and the room itself was marvelous it wasn't much more than a small blemish on our experience.

central location, 5 min by walk to Staatsoper. The size of the room and also the bed were satisfactory. Room decoration and treats were lovely.

Check-in is in another building which you have to pass from outside. The bar was not opened until 23:30 on Christmas as mentioned on the board in front of check-in desk.

Efficient communication before arrival, great service upon arrival with luggage and location.

The room is large and comfortable, but in an old building. Floors make noice when walking, as does the small closet.

We stayed in the other building, it was amazing room, space, quite, well equipped and very nice decorated.
