I opted for this hotel instead of another more modern hotel as the location near the Alster lake was excellent. I'm glad I did as the traditional nature of the pension (on the 2nd floor) made a change from the usual corporate hotel. Check in was flexible with our flight being delayed and ur key was made available for us. We even were given a late check out. Facilities are very dated but it is clean, quiet and everything we needed for being out and about. So close to u-bahn station which connects really well with the airport.

Information about getting breakfast, although there are so many coffee shops nearby.

The accommodation is a bit nondescript, but I wasn't looking for palatial surroundings, so it was OK

Finding the hotel was awkward. It is one which shares a common entrance with at least one other hotel. And I'm not sure that the number in the street was easy to discern. I managed to arrrive during the limited check-in times, but this might not be the case for everyone. So make sure you know when there will be an attendant in place.

I booked this hotel in Hamburg and was pleasantly surprised. The location was very good and made the city walkable. I shared a 3-persons beedroom which was very big, clean and spacious. We had a 2 nights-stay and they even cleaned the room while we stayed there. The hotel staff was very friendly and even sent me my shirt, that I forgot in the hotelroom, with the mail to Denmark. Excellent service!

Everything was great

Location of the a property was very central and allowed for great logistics.

The walls as well as the doors were thin, and the room was facing main entrance to the guesthouse, the guests that arrived late or left early were very loud and woke me up on both occasions. Those guests who plan on late arrival, I recommend contacting property early, they have strict check in times. My train was arriving at 7PM and I was told that they will accommodate my check in “by exception”.

The staff was nice with a lift working for most of the time. The room was lovely and clean, and so was the bathroom. Nothing too fancy but a very pleasant stay with a fantastic location!

The building was old and the lift broke on the last day. There were a few bugs, but that is unfortunately standard for Germany...

Very good location, in a good area, many attractions within walking distance. The rooms are cleaned every day, warm, large rooms. Very professional polite administrator, gave us good recommendations, helped with all issues. We liked everything. Thank you!

Location was perfect. Staff was very friendly and helpful (keep in mind they don't have a 24h Reception). Room was cosy. And again i cannot stress enough how good the location was.

A bit of mould around the shower, nothing that one cannot quickly fix with a bit of spray solution. The doors have seen some better days.

I wasn't expecting much, considering the price, but I was pleasantly surprised! Yup, the single room was basic, but everything was clean, bed was comfortable, shower pressure was great, the room was warm. I enjoyed the old and beautiful staircase as well. Check-in was smooth, location is truly great - just a short walk from the center and very quiet, with lots of restaurants nearby.

The location was just great. 15 min away from the Hamburg Messe und Congress building, 20 min away from the Central Train Station (Hbf Hamurg) and Central Bus Station (ZOB Hamburg). The price was very good for that season (Wind Energy exhibition time). The rooms were clean and warm. The receptions works only limited periods of time in the morning and in the afternoon, but you can specify the time of your arrival while booking and someone will be there to check you in.

Great location! Beautiful old building! On a beautiful street - a monument of old Hamburg from the 19th century! Steps from the opera house! Many restaurants and cafes around. Close to the sights of the city and also to a lovely park!

I don't know how it would be in the summer as there is no air conditioning, but Hamburg is a northern city after all and it probably doesn't get too hot. During the time I was in this hotel there was nothing that I did not like.
