1. Barely any space for storrage, no bedside furniture, just a tiny shelf by the bed. There is a wardrobe, with a few hangers, but nothing for the rest of the clothes. 2. Sink in the room (you can get water on the floor, plus the noise if you use it at night). 3. A bucket for a garbage bin. I can understand no daily cleaning if you choose that, but not even daily garbage disposal? 4. No fridge 5. Shower in the room - you can choose to pull a courtain for more privacy, but only on the side facing the bed. The side facing the sink is still open. 6. Some instructions would be necessary before coming to the location about where and how to do checkin. It can take a while to figure it out in your own. 7. Rock hard pillows.

The location was very central. It was very good. It is very advantageous to be within walking distance to the sights of the city. I had sent an e-mail for my room to have a river view. I was very pleased that it was taken into consideration. Check-in and check-out are done from inside the restaurant. I found this very interesting and surprising. The restaurant overlooks the river. I think this is very pleasant.

It is surprising that there is no refrigerator and kettle in the room. Drinking coffee in the room with a view of the river would have been pleasant. Also, it would be comfortable to have a refrigerator in the room for cold water on hot summer days. I had no problem because I stayed as a single person, but the rooms are a bit small. It may not be comfortable for two people.

Breakfast was superb, the employees were very kind and helpful, the lobby was cosy, the room was clean , the mattress was comfortable, the elevator was fast and dependable, and the hotel's position in the center of the city was very helpful.

The bathroom, which was very clean, of course, was virtually in three parts (toilet seat in one cubicle, shower in another, sink inside the room) and that was not very helpful. Also, the soundproofing of the bathroom (not of the room itself) was non-existent. I would also prefer more space beside the sides of the bed, maybe a small proper nightstand.

The Ruby staff is super nice. The breakfast covers many possible diets, so it's hard to stay hungry and disappointed. The AC in the room is very effective without making much noise. Despite of being right in the downtown area, the hotel is still quiet.

Having the bathroom and the toilet as glass cubicles right in the room was an interesting and novel (to me) design approach. The intimacy factor is definitely lower than it bee in case of a more traditional design. It didn't particularly bother me but might be a factor for some.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was extremely clean. The hotel is in a great area, very central and near lots of cute cafes. The staff was warm and helpful, and I appreciated the no-fuss check-in/out. There is a nice lounge/breakfast area, and an outdoor area overlooking the canal. They held our luggage for us all day while we walked around and had a very organized system for doing this.

The room is very basic and small. It lacks furniture to rest luggage on, the sink is separate from the toilet and the shower, and the shower is in the middle of the room, which doesn’t make it feel particularly homey. Plus, the walls are thin and you can hear everything, especially in the corridor. It’s pricey, but on the lower end for Hamburg.

Bright and functional rooms, great bar area, good location - always a good experience at Ruby Hotels.

The hotel could not confirm 2 weeks in advance that we would have a cot in our room for our 1.5-year-old daughter. I do not see a reason why a cot cannot be allocated at the time of booking. There was no explanation for it either - only that we could bring our own cot to be on the safe side, which we wanted to avoid bringing extra luggage. Please consider changing this policy.

The location was amazing. I had such an easy time getting to and from the airport via the S1 train, and it was within walking distance to many points of interest during my trip. The downstairs bar was very cozy and comfy and I received a drink voucher when I declined room cleaning during my stay, (no problem since I was only there a few days!) The room was just the right size for me and I loved the shower with the rainfall shower head.

The floors were a little worn and the bed was a bit hard, but that’s all!

The location is perfect, it is close to the tub e station and walking distance of all the touristy attractions. The hotel is beautiful, staff is exceptional everybody is super friendly and they give you good vibes. The prices are fair, the free voucher drink is a good idea, if you choose it (instead of cleaning your room). The room was very nice, if you are alone or with your partner.

I had a coffee and it was ok, not bad but not great. It didn't had any taste, maybe changing the coffee beans.

The location of the hotel is excellent - just a short walk to the S-Bahn stop Stadthausbrücke and to the city center (Jungfernstieg). The interior design of the lobby is modern and appealing.

The sink and shower are in the middle of the room. If you‘re not staying with your partner, this is definitely a no go because you don’t have any privacy. I honestly don‘t get the idea behind these concepts… It seems to be more and more hotels are integrating these “modern” designs which are not practical and they don’t make sense to me.

We arrived off an early flight, and our room was ready. Staff were very helpful checking in. There are several restaurants within a couple of minutes walk of the hotel, and the U-Bahn and S-Bahn are within 5 minutes walk of the hotel. The main sights of the old town are only 10-15 minutes walk of the hotel. The rooms were spotlessly clean, albeit on the small side.

Breakfast was €24 per person, which is exorbitant. However, there is a bakery 100m down the street. The design of the shower does not provide adequate privacy.
