The hotel was very well located, it is a 10 minute walk from the Altstadt and located right opposite the Stadthausbrücke S1 station making it easy to get from the airport. Correspondence regarding the key cards and check in made the experience easy. The rooms were a good size with lots of storage. The facilities were clean and the beds were big. The shower was great and the room was equipped with a fan and air purifier The staff were kind, helpful and very welcoming, and the tea and coffee was a great perk that was unexpected! Overall we really enjoyed ourselves and are looking forward to returning - Michaelis Hof made us feel at home in Hamburg!

Nicely situated hotel, my friend's apartment was good.

Unfortunately the new receptionist forgot to leave us the code for the second booked room, so we had to book another hotel. Host apologized and returned our money without any hesitations.

Very good address in the center of Hamburg. Access is a bit unusual as the hotel is located on one floor of an office building of the Catholic Academy, but it was exceptionally easy to check in and get to the room (automated secure system at the front door). My room was very clean and quiet (two doors separating the bedroom from the corridor). I also appreciated the fact that the room had fully opaque blinds + curtains. Staff is very friendly.

Only one thing that could be improved: have more that just tea/coffee and croissants for breakfast (maybe some simple cornflakes with milk, a yogurt, apples or bananas?) Personally I do not spend time in hotel lounges/bars. In case you do, note that there is no common lounge area here.

Great location very close to U stop and a quick Walk from the centre. The room was comfortable despite the bed being two single mattresses put together, and clean. Loved the contacless check in and check out process. The room had a mini fridge. Glasses were provided both in the room and the bathroom. The window blinds blocked out a lot of light, especially together with curtains.

The interior design gives a feeling of being in a much older building. The shower head was fixed to the shower for some reason, which made showering difficult and wasn't super practical. The mattress was two single mattresses put together rather than one double mattress. Missed having an overhead light rather than 2 floor lamps in each corner. The isolation is not so good, you can hear quite some traffic noise from the street.

Surprising set-up - I believe above the offices of the RC Diocese - but a very comfortable hotel. Rooms are absolutely spotless and the decor has an 80s charm. Super-warm shower, views over the roof of the huge St Michael's Church, ultra-quiet. Neighbourhood has several small, intimate restaurants for both dinner and breakfast. Excellent organic supermarket nearby. The morning coffee and croissants are of high quality - no need to venture out really. Easy walking distance to the city centre, Rathaus and Hafencity. A bit short on standard hotel amenities but with many compensating factors.

Good location to get to the CHH Congress Centre Hamburg (15-20 min walk). Although the place is quite dated and simple, it is clean, comfortable, and quiet - it has everything you need for a good stay! The rooms are a good size too. They have fresh croissants and tea for breakfast in the morning which is available to everyone.

The reception is only open for a few hours each day so you can't leave luggage for the whole day as there is nobody to let you in to collect it later.

The best was localisation. We could walk everywhere. To the port, to Miniaturworld and to Rathaus and even to St Pauli. Very nice place for hamburger is Grill and Green, tasty food and nice Service, just 100 m from the hotel. And nice surprice Were the fresh croissants serce every morning together with tea and coffee.

Michaelis Hof is a great place to stay. The rooms are clean and all amenities are kept in good shape. The water has good pressure and it´s warm, beds are comfy. You can rent an ironing board and iron for free, before going to work you can get a free coffee. I book it because it´s close to work. There´s nothing special about it, but I return because it´s fair.

It´s a little too expensive for what it is in my opinion. Then again, Hamburg gets very expensive.

Excellent hotel situated in a fairly central location of Hamburg, with on-site secure parking (at an additional charge). Clean and comfortable, basic breakfast which was sufficient for us. Would stay again.

Self check in is obvious if you read your email properly (which I didn't!). Some noise from the traffic which you may not get in a room situated at the back, but this would not deter me from staying again.

Perfect location for exploring the centre of Hamburg, the tube stop is just a minute from the hotel. The rooms were large and ours were very quiet as they gave on to the court yard. The hotel is located on the second floor which made it feel very safe, you cannot just wander in. Although, there was no breakfast, very nice tea and coffee were served at the reception plus really yummy butter croissants, for free. I would definitely stay there again. Very friendly recption.
