Breakfast was healthy and good. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The room was very spacious for the price we paid in a city like Hamburg. The hotel seems to be part of an old palace now modified for hosting people. The building carries the ancient palatial architecture.

Taxi service in Hamburg was very disappointing. We were traveling with a baby and many taxi drivers refused to take us because we didn't have a baby chair. There was a slight difficulty checking in. The reception of the Hotel was closed and nobody came when we rang the bell. Finally we had to call them on the phone to let us in.

Hotel is located in a very nice area, in a close proximity to the city center (10min walk from the subway). Staff were helpful and friendly. Room was clean a spacious enough (we had a family room). There is a street parking (10EUR/day) which is very cheap and convenient (if you can find a space that is). There are some restaurants and bakeries within a walking distance (5-10 min).

This is a University area, so it might be a bit noisy (one night we had a party going nearby till 3am). The number of family room is limited, so check what you get before you travel with kid(s).

Location is so convenient with train station and buss connections near. It is also conveniently located near the park of flowers, a must visit point if you are exploring Hamburg. The staff of the hotel was so nice and helpful. I had read negative comments about the old-fashioned style of the hotel, but I really didn't see the problem and found the place charming, you just use a normal key instead of a card. You can also open the windows to get fresh air and a beautiful view. There were some spider webs near the plug, but honestly I had no problem with that.

There is no noise isolation, so I recommend to bring your ear plugs if you have sleeping problems hearing your neighbors. I wouldn't rely on the wifi for important work, I had good reception only in the dinning area (I had to use my phone plan in the room).

A small, cozy inn accommodated in a historic building near Dammtor train station. Everywhere in Hamburg can be easily accessible with the public transportation and the downtown is within a walking distance. The staff warmly welcomed me at check-in. The room was spacious and I could stay relaxed.

This is just for information. Several different hotels are accommodated in this building floor by floor, check the name and the floor of your hotel before check in. Since the building itself is more than one hundred years old, some parts of the facilities are not of the state-of-the-art.

The character of the building was lovely, room was so big with a little balcony . Big corner bath, fridge with drinks and snacks in. Big bed and comfortable Excellent locations and mohos is a must for breakfast very quaint location, tree lined streets

I really enjoyed my 2-night stay here. The rooms are spacious, clean, with large windows that have a great view of central Hamburg. The owners were very friendly and helpful when I needed to ask for a favor. Also. This hotel as a whole has a very special atmosphere - as if you were transported back in time on one hand, or maybe you are Sherlock Holmes traveling somewhere to uncover a mysterious crime... and all these associations I mean in a good way! :D

Booked for a one night stay. Was a nice traditional hotel. We were upgraded to a huge room with a balcony and large bathroom. Slept like babies in the bed it was so comfortable and quiet. Location was great, not far from a train station, the lakes and old town. The man who checked us in was charming. Wish we had been able to stay for longer

The staff was very friendly and close, it almost felt like a family. They greeted while going out and coming in. It felt like a perfect home for the Marathon. Everything was intact.

The facilities were used but in a good condition.

My room was pretty clean and had all facilities except fan/air conditioning. The view from my room was nice too. The environment was quite and relaxing.

Fan could be provided to guests during summer atleast.

Nice building. Good room and bed. Nice breakfast. Friendly staf. 5 min walk to metro station and then 8 min metro ride to hamburg city centre
