Very nice hotel close to CCH - Conference Centre Hamburg, located in a quiet area. My room was facing an internal garden, so no noise around. The room was very spacious, with a small kictchen and a walk-in wardrobe. The bathroom was large and comfortable. Breakfast was various and complete, worth the 19€ cost if you have time to taste everything!

The charming hotel near the Alster lake, university and city center offers big, comfortable rooms and bathrooms as well as an excellent breakfast. It covers several end 19th Century houses in the villa quarter close to the railway station Dammtor Bahnhof. It is not the first time I have stayed there and will not be the last time.

I am of an age when I am hesitant about having to climb into a bath tub to have a shower. The matresses were very soft. And I needed a second pillow.

The double bed room was large, comes with a comfortable bed and a small but well equipped pantry (coffee machine, water boiler, induction cooker, cutleries but no mini fridge). The housekeeping staff did a good daily job. Check in and out was a breeze for me. I also like the hotel location which is a leisurely 8-10 minute walk from Dammtor Train Station, through Hamburg University grounds.

My room on level 3 faces the main road and can be a bit noisy when vehicles drove past. There isn't an air conditioner or fan, which is actually rather fine because the weather is quite chilly now (April).

It is a charming hotel in a residential area of Hamburg, close to the university. Breakfast is fantastic and staff very friendly. Nice shower!

I found it rather expensive, though other hotels at this location had similar prices at that time. The rooms could use an update, though the bathroom was impeccable and nice. Wireless was poor (main house).

Close to university. Close to public transport with easy connection to station, city centre etc. Very spacious room and bathroom with bath tub. Chair, desk, and armchair with small side table. Unique style. I did not have breakfast, so no comment on that.

Bigger safe to hold a laptop would have been nice.

Very cosy small hotel in a nice area of Hamburg, supercute breakfast room and a delicious breakfast. High rooms and windows so a very light room, beds were a bit hard and in the evening and morning the traffic sounds came in from the street. But all in all a very pleasant stay.

Perfect location at the heart of Hamburg, close to the Uni and a walking distance from Dammtor. Particularly if you're interested in Kosher food, there are several options right next door. Very clean and quiet. Very helpful staff.

A bit expensive.

I found hotel Vorbach very comfortable. Great location, attentive staff, very, very clean room and bathroom, free WiFi. I recommend everyone to choose this hotel for their stay, especially if their business trip is connected to the University of Hamburg.

From the 4th floor where I stayed landscape views were not well visible due to upper located window and it was a little stuffy.

The peacefulness, the prompt attention to my early arrival & receiving a great room and a cup of coffee in the breakfast room without charge

An automatic coffee/ tea maker in room would be nice

Breakfast excellent. The woman in charge refilled every plate/basket before it was empty. Very attentive Lady. Had to cool some fish-salads from saturrday to Tuesday, which they storred in the Hotelfridge without any costs and problems.

Hotel has 2 buildings, seperated by another one, not from them. Key systems are a bit old, but it worked. Basicly not essential problems.
