Very easy to get to from Hbf. Well presented throughout and staff friendly. The room does everything it needs to, with a few weird tweaks that make it feel slightly awkward to be in. For a solo traveler it's pretty good. Families might get a kick out of the bunkbed arrangement, but the odd showering and washing arrangements might get in the way of everyone having a really good time.

City view means you can see into the office buildings opposite and hear freight trains screeching past overnight. Funky lighting system with controls placed right where your head will be if you sit up turns on and off when you lean on it. Part of the shower fittings fell off. Sink is in the room while toilet is in a separate, featureless little closet.

The rooms were immaculately clean as was the whole properly. Breakfast was outstanding and Highlights recommended. I would have given a higher score for the facilities but there is no option for a twin room.. As twin adults men didn't want to sleep together, the child had to sleep in the double bed and an adult in the bunk. Being 67 it aint fun😆. Shower and toilets basic and done the job. Staff were always friendly and helpful and had a good sense of humour.....We wanted somewhere to get our heads down and have a good breakfast to set us up for the day.. it did the job we asked it to do. Whilst hot water is available from a machine in reception, this was closed up at 22.00. As was the coffee machine it was part of. A small kettle in the room is not to much of an expanse for Ibis I am sure. Ideal for a homemade cup of tea! Snacks were also closed off at 22.00 when the front desk was unmanned.

Availability of refreshments. The non budget Ibis did do drinks and pizza next door in the evening. The only bit we didn't like was the beds. I'm sure Ibis could do a few rooms with a twin set of beds. Some people have dissabilities like bad backs etc too. May be a bit unusual, I don't know, but as you get older you want to give others memories. So granddad, grandson and dad/son love to travel and see Germany. My back ain't the best and a twin bed would be great. There was nothing that was bad or not likes other than the beds. We had a great stay and if you want a hotel to get some sleep. Ibis Budget os excellent.

Our stay was great as we new what to expect. Room was fine and the location for our purposes was perfect. Most things were within walking distance

The breakfast was fine, but most people took a lot of items, probably as they paid extra for breakfast, so decided to take as much as possible. There were no bananas left , the lady next to us had 3, I asked for bananas as we were here for Ironman, I was first told that they finished the quota for today, then the lady brought one, my partner got none.

This is really good for a budget hotel, really clean, comfortable and quiet with an ensuite toilet and shower. It is right by the train station but extremely well soundproofed so barely any station/city noise comes in, and in easy walking distance from all of the city centre. It has aircon, and there are vending machines and microwaves available in reception too.

The shower opens straight into the room and is separated only by a partly frosted glass door - you have to step into the room to get dry/changed, so make sure you are staying with roommates you don't mind seeing everything! We asked for a wheelchair accessible room and did not get one - we could manage but if you couldn't then i advise phoning the hotel directly to see if they can do better. We also had issues with the toilet light, which has a motion sensor, switching off after just a couple of seconds or not switching off after exiting the room, but that may just have been a blip.

IBIS budget Hotel is exactly what you would expect, same format in UK, so I'm not sure what previous reviews are about. I was nervous about staying here based on reviews but have used IBIS Budget before so pressed ahead. Staff on arrival were polite, helpful and courteous. A cleaning member of staff helped when I was too stupid to use the lift, despite a language barrier. Room spotless and a good size. Basic but exactly the same model as you see elsewhere. Bed was comfortable, and I had a really good sleep. Plenty toilet roll and three fresh towels for a two night stay. Wash liquid provided. Shower hot and strong. Hangers provided. Also, there are plenty electrical points. Room cleaned daily. Cleaner on 7th floor polite and considerate. There is a hotel bar with ice creams, snacks, and hot and cold drinks available from 0630. I woke around 430 like I usually do but got a coffee no problem at the IBIS next door. The female colleague who served me was extremely helpful and polite and wished me a good day. I don't know what previous reviews have been based on, but if you are looking for a clean, basic room in a fantastic location and a good price for central city, I would recommend it. Based on my stay, staff were all helpful and friendly. It's a great basic hotel at a great price.

Reasonable location close to the train station and with some bars and restaurants fairly close by. Staff were helpful and pleasant. There was also a small shop and coffee machine in reception which was useful and a bar at the Ibis next door.

It really was a budget room, compact with the sink in the main room and the toilet and shower cubicals crammed in. The budget Ibis room we stayed at in Bremen had a little more room and was better laid out so it was a bit disappointing that it wasn't quite as comfortable.

I stayed at ibis budget Hamburg City and found it to be a great budget-friendly option in a very convenient location. The hotel is simple but clean, with comfortable rooms and free Wi-Fi. It’s just a short walk from the main train station and close to public transport, making it easy to explore Hamburg. The staff were friendly, and the continental breakfast was decent. Perfect for travelers looking for affordable and practical accommodation in the city center.

The location was in the city centre and only a few minute walk from the main station. You could park lime scooters/bikes right outside the hotel which made getting around the city easier and quicker. There is a bar outside the hotel which was convenient and great. The rooms were a good size and tidy and the beds were comfortable.

We asked one of the staff to clean our room and change our towels but because she didn’t understand us, the bed was cleaned but our towels wasn’t replaced. Could have had an extra pillow to sleep with.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and they continued to be so, even after we left the hotel as my husband accidentally left our passports there. They went out of their way to help us get the passports couriered to us in Copenhagen. I really can't fault them. The hotel itself, is basic, clean and comfortable. Exactly what I expected. It's the staff that really made it wonderful though.

I didn't like the area that the hotel was in very much, but in fairness it was close to the train station and provided us with what we needed for one night.

The room was big enough for me and my daughter. The windows offered a view of the main station and the direction of the riverside. The hotel was located within walking distance of the main station. It was also close enough for the other city attractions to be reached by foot. We did not opt for breakfast, so I would not be able to say anything on this. The staff were very helpful and kept my luggage at the reception after check out while we explored the city attractions before we took our train out of Hamburg after 10pm.

The fare could have been lower a bit.
