We really liked the quirky decor, the cleanliness and the comfortable bed. The common areas were great, although not many other guests to socialise with we spent some time in the outside area relaxing. We didn't have much interaction with the staff but the receptionist on the first day was friendly and let us into our room a little early.

An extra pillow would have been nice, the ones we had were quite thin and flimsy.

The actual room - bedding and furnishing - was great. It was comfortable and had all the necessary features. The location is central. Self check-in was easy.

While location is central, it’s unpleasant to access on foot because of the roadways. While the room was great, the bathrooms were not - several things didn’t work, or didn’t work well. Plus the decor in the bathrooms is really… bad. Finally, the sound travelled very intensely. I sleep heavily but was woken several time by other guests.

Seamless check-in, good communication, good location and good price. We went in winter, but it looks like a definitely great place to visit in summer as it has many tables, chairs and a good ambiance that invotes to stay outside enjoying a drink with friends.

Windows could be a little be better isolated, as they were a bit noisy. More shared bathrooms could be added, we had to share 1 bathroom with 4 other rooms.

I liked the interior decoration of the place. The place was not crowded during our stay, so the toilets/showers were really clean. We arrived after the check-in time but did self-check-in without any problem. It was beyond my expectations especially considering its price.

Only downside was the water in the showers were not warm/nearly cold :(

there was road work in the street but it's not the CitySurfer44's fault. The bathroom was smelling of mold a bit

Nice friendly hosts, very welcoming and helpful. Very clean, comfortable accommodation with great shared kitchen facilities.

Not any restaurants nearby, quite a walk to nearest eatery.

Nice little quirky hostel in Hamburg. Big private rooms as all the facilities you expect. I loved that it reminded me of the beach back home.

Super cozy, the sweetest people, funky interior, clean and fresh, great bed, highly recommended!!

Nothing - maybe that it’s placed a bit away from my favorite St. Pauli good! :D
