It was bigger than the other A&O hostels we had been for our trip around Germany. Getting there from the HBF with the the trains were the struggles of our trip since there were no elevators at the Berliner Tor stop and because of the ongoing construction, it was hard to get to the other side of the road to the hotel especially with a stroller. Also, the hotel even though had exits for strollers and wheelchairs, there were still some stairs anyway! But apart from that, the hotel room was comfy for all 5 of us. The kids always loved the “Kids Corner” it was their highlight at every A&O hotel we lodged. It’s truly a family friendly hotel/hostel. ❤️

I stayed at a&o Hamburg City for two nights and had a great experience. The apartments were clean and had everything I needed. Dilshod and the rest of the reception staff were very kind and friendly, answering all my questions. The location is close to public transport and some nice cafes. The common areas were well-maintained and a great place to relax. Also it was quiet in the room, which I really appreciated. The price was reasonable for the quality of service. I would definitely recommend this hostel. Thank you for your work!

I was very positively surprised with the quality of the beds, the cleanliness and how friendly and accommodating the staff was. The room was spacious enough for two people and their luggage. Despite the heavy traffic beside the property it was quiet and the drapes kept the room dark. Had a good night's sleep! Breakfast was pretty basic, but very generous. Loved the mirror and the lightning: great for doing makeup.

The bathroom was a bit small and the drain cover of the sink was missing. The towel heater in the bathroom didn't get warm, but it's more of a minor inconvenience.

We have 2 new nice people VINOD and BRITNEY thanks to them they just made easy my stay at the hostel. And also I wanna thank again and again AHMED, DZIKRI, UZAIR those people are very professional very helpful, I saw them working very hard every time and they still keep the smile and keep helping all the people. Thank you for this lovely team and I hope it will be keeping like this

I'll give some advice that I came up with myself. Modernize the system of checking people into rooms by adding a section on the registration form at the reception that asks, "What time will I start preparing to leave?" Then, update the system so that it assigns rooms where people will wake up at approximately the same time. I checked in, and the next day I had a long and difficult journey planned to start at 9:00 AM. However, my neighbor woke up at 5:30 AM and started getting ready, another one woke up at 6:15 AM, and another at 6:30 AM, and finally, someone else at 7:20 AM. As a result, I ended up starting my journey at 10:00 AM because I didn’t get enough sleep at all. Point number 1.

The room was clean, comfortable, minimally stylish and met all our needs well. We were really grateful for complimentary early check-in as the staff member could see it would useful with our baby. The view and natural light was great. And even though we were right next to train station, the noise wasn’t intrusive (useful to note we were on the top floor).

The guest kitchen was a sad state to discover. Although quite clean, its cupboards were completely empty of cookwear, crockery and utensils. There was only one pot to use on one working hotplate. And a kettle that didn’t work. So cooking a meal was not so functional. That said, the fridges were ample.

AHMED is the best ! Ahmed is the one who can really make you feel at home and help you for everything, sometimes I saw him working alone 24h ! Trying to not let the line be bigger ! Thank you for this serious Man and also thank you for the other like UZAIR, DZIKRI I hope these people can get promoted and very soon !

When I come the first day here I saw only 2 personals working at 15h which all the people are coming to do check in ! The line was really really really long !!!!!

We used a 4-bed room for the whole family and requested a baby bed. The room and bed sheets were very clean. Toilet and shower separately is very nice when you are a big group. Overall the place (inside and outside) is quite noisy but despite that the insonorisation was adequate. The hotel staff was always very nice and helpful. Once we actually lost our daughter (3yo) while in the hotel because she just decided to explore by herself. It's a big hotel so she could have been very far already. We asked the reception for help and they dropped everything they were doing to help find her. In just 10 minutes they found her on another floor. That was very scary but I really appreciate that the staff took our request seriously and acted immediately.

The hotel features a kid's corner but actually has very few toys and is generally in a dire state. It is not interesting to stay there for more than a few minutes. The hotel has a common kitchen which weirdly enough is not even advertised online. It was not very clean and very minimalistic. Having access to a fridge and kettle was very useful.

We stayed with our family, including two children. The location is a 30-minute walk from the center. Inside, everything is clean, with fresh renovations. I especially want to mention that it was quiet, and we had a great night's sleep! The ground floor has a large area where you can sit and work (tables with outlets - a working zone), a children's playground, and relaxation areas where you can have coffee (a coffee machine is available). The staff is friendly and very efficient - there were many people, but the line moved very quickly. By the way, parking is close by - 20 euros per day. We are pleased with our stay and pleasantly surprised. This is not our first hostel experience, but it is the best.

On the way from the center, we had to pass by a square with a huge number of homeless alcoholics (about 50 people), which was frightening. Therefore, it is better not to walk to the center but to take the metro or drive.

A nice professional lady her name is MAY, very patient and also helpful, thanks to her, these people are very important for the hostel the same as DZIKRI, AHMED UZAIR OMAR. Thank you all of you for your kindness and help

There is also a nice UKRAINIAN lady, serious, professional and polite. she is there to check each room what they need and if there is something to change of course with the collaboration of the reception. I want to thank her also for the management of the rooms and also the follow-up of the housekeeping to check if they have done their work properly.
