Lovely staff, really friendly and welcoming. Good location for public transport so is quick to get to the city centre or Reeperbahn. Good facilities (kitchen, iron, lockers etc). No designated luggage storage but the owners will locked it in the reception for me.

Could be cleaner. The sweeping didn't go under the beds and the shower plug had hair blocking it in the morning. Can be noisy depending on others in your room as it's large rooms but take ear plugs and you should be fine. Note: the pictures with the computers are old. There is now a drinks machine there instead. My picture is up to date July 22.

The warm heartedness of the owner and his open mind made me feel very welcome. The staff were very hospitable and very helpful. The hygiene was maintained when it came to washroom or showers. The bedsheet and the covers were also clean .

Well it is not much as didn't like but i would be more appreciative if we knew about the additional city charges and the 10 euro fees for clean sheets. It somehow felt like hidden fees and that was just to charge you extra. I mean isn't the stay supposed to cover for the cleanliness as well? Also the rooms were not cleaned at all during our stay. Although we knew that we were tricked we had to stay silent as we didn't have other option not to take clean sheets and covers for our stay.

It was a nice and clean place, regularly cleaned and well-cleaned. I could sleep and eat breakfast even make night snacks no problem and without being annoying to the other people there, I really enjoyed the price and the comfy bed

it was close to a scary street and ambulance sirens where going off multiple times a day, toilets where small so a little annoying to get yourself ready in the morning but it still works very fine I would just recommend maybe taking transport and not walk

Pauli Hostel is simply great! Welcoming atmosphere, the managers are take great care of the place and of the guests. All the needs are met, it is very clean and the kitchen is well equipped. Great value for the money, would definitely stay there again!

There were no shelves or hangers in the room. The only place to put belongings is in the backpack on the floor.

Cheap and cheerful and a great location. Staff were helpful and friendly and the facilities were all clean.

Washing machine facilities have to be used only by the staff, so having “washing machine” on the website is a little misleading. I wanted to machine wash my clothes the afternoon I arrived and only had a few items, and was told it would be €10 and not available until 10:00 am next day. I resorted to hand washing (again!) and hung my clothes from the dorm windows. Not ideal and, as I said, a bit annoying and misleading.

Quiet, clean, laid back....a very pleasant stay

Could do with a light , shelf, and a power point at each bed.

When you have a lovely Gambian at the reception everything will be easy and fast ! Thanks to this man to help me and being kind during my stay, I will come back definitely :)

The toilets are very small, far away from the rooms

You can easily reach by foot S Bahn station nearby A kitchen but I didn't use it 24 hour open stores nearby (Gas stations) Sint Pauli aera and its nightlife

Welcoming host and everyone was very friendly and respectful. Access to shared kitchen, bathrooms and showers. Liked the separate rooms to iron the clothes as well. Long table with mirrors in the restroom area to get ready in the morning is a big bonus. The place itself has many artistic touches that make it exceptionally welcoming. The host is also accommodating to different arrival times and they easily facilitate communication.

The cleanliness could be improved and unfortunately the WiFi was slow.
