The male receptionist M R was very rude and not service minded at all when I entered the hotel on my own ( my husband was waiting outside in the car). His service level was very much under what I normally get in other hotels of same category. He was irritated from the very first second. He told me that there were no available spaces in the garage despite the signal at the entrance showing 4 free spaces. He asked me to park in another parking in the other side of the road. I went out and my husband saw that the signal had changed to 8 places so we took a chance and entered the garage and found a far too small space but we managed to park the car. He allocated us to a room for people with handicap despite the fact that neither my husband or I suffer of any disability or asked for it. He was irritated with all that I said f ex that we were no smokers. The rest of the staff was great specially at the restaurant, where we enjoyed a great dinner and lovely breakfast.

Front desk and restaurant staff friendly and accommodating. Room on upper level in the back (above restaurant area), very quiet. Included refrigerator and electric kettle. TV service adequate. Safe is in room. Very convenient to walk downtown and old town as well as to the harbor front. Friend dropped me off but used local bus to airport bus, no problems. One of the closest beaches is Falckensteiner, it's ok if you aren't aware of it. ;) Tourists will prefer Laboe.

Updated bath but space to hang towels limited. Cleaning staff polite but denied knowing any German at all, difficult to make requests. Be aware of room service fee.

Located near a park and a few minutes walking from pedestrian area, this hotel is really nice and quiet. Room is small but comfortable, bathroom with spacious shower and toiletries, safe. Coffee and tea as well as water are available in the room. Breakfast buffet which offers a variety of choice. Parking available. You can also buy drinks at the reception. Bar is open in the evening and serves nice cocktails.

the safe is positioned a little too high in the wardrobe. You might think of that if you put some little things, you will not be able to check what is inside :)

Very nice property rooms were great.

The only complaints I would have is that I would have like a little bigger refrigerator and I didn’t like how high the tub was. At my age it was a little difficult making that high of a step up and it was quite tricky getting out as it was so high.

I liked the location of the hotel, the staff, and the comfort of the room. The view of the harbor was pleasant. The breakfast was sumptuous and had lots of delicious options.

When I arrived, the room was quite cold and the heater control is not intuitive - there is no panel. As my heater was malfunctioning, it required the intervention of a technician. At the end, everything had been fixed properly.

Fantastic location for cruise passengers as a short walk across a park, less than 5 minutes. Nice staff and great breakfast. Can keep cases secure until time to board. About 1 mile walk from train station.

Nothing bad, but rooms could do with at least USB charge points. Morning cleaner, lightly tapped door then entered, lucky I had underwear on at least, she quickly turned and walked away lol!! But no apology.

Great place to stay. Wonderfull food and really nice spa. I totally enjoyed my stay. Definitely coming back.

Parking lots are kind of smaller. Just be prepared if you will have a rental car as I did, it is scary to try to fit in. Anyway they do have parking and I managed to park :)) not a hotels fault probably anyway.

Super friendly and hospitable staff, very comfy and large beds, maritime decor that doesn't feel cheap. Overall, the Conti has a sophisticated and cared-for feel about it that makes me feel welcome.

I found the rooms to be overheated, it was especially warm at night, even with the windows open. Due to the location in the middle of a student's town (in which I lived for 11 years), it will be loud at night Thursday to Saturday (during the academic semester). There *will* be a party close by and drunk people will pass the hotel every so often. Bring earplugs, if you mind this kind of thing. It's the price the Conti pays for its perfect location.

No BBC1/2 tv channels, no sky sports package on their tvs. Most guests seem to only overnight off the cruise ships and ferries, with constant long queues at the front desk, making it very tiresome to speak to reception staff.

Very close to all sites and to the Baltic Sea

We agreed to skip daily cleaning of our room and got a 5 € Bonus for the stay , which was not applicable on our bill.. only for food or drinks.. Means spend more money on us .. savings for the hotel .. strange
