The location was spot on for a visit to a concert or opera. There is an underground parking 'before' the hotel (Just drive to the entrance and you will be directed to it) 13 euro for 24 hours is reasonable. From hotel to concerthall is exceptional: you take the stairs to reception and from reception it is literally two doors and 10 meters walking through a corridor to to concerthall. Breakfast was very good: excellent food and plenty of choice. The breakfast room faces the park with a fountain in it. Even in winter it is gorgeous and looks well maintained. Staff is attentive, friendly and efficient. We had a room close to the elevator on the right hand side of the hotel, aware that we were going to the concert (Less walking, if any at all...) Room was beautiful, big and very clean with a lot of 'warm wood'. There was tea and coffee and a clean waterboiler to make you own. Modern bathroom with good working showers (rain and normal). We liked too their soaps etc, and the sustainable way of the bottles on the wall. No more small plastic containers!

Nothing really. Essen is not top of places to see, but the hotel is the place to be!

The location is in a quieter and safer part of town. It's walking distance to a lot of shops and eateries, but not so close that it gets noisy. The buffet breakfast is superb.

The housekeeping staff could have been more attentive. On the second day of our stay we were still inside the room when they wanted to clean it, so we asked them to come back later. Then when we got back in the evening the room was not cleaned at all. Also staff was not aware of supplies running out (e.g. box tissue) and we had to request for top up/replacements.

Staying at the Sheraton in Essen was a delightful experience! Having not visited in years, I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly, and the hotel has maintained its sparkling appearance beautifully. Sheraton Essen is definitely my go-to destination in the city.

The hotel is well located with conveniently located underground car park (CONTIPARK) which connects directly to the hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was excellent overlooking a wonderful park. The room was large and comfortable with a capsule coffee machine included.

The room Airconditioner made a strange sound at regular intervals that I found personally a bit hard to accept. I thought initially the sound was from the lift adjacent to my room.

Great position just in front of the u-bahn and s-Bahn. Good choice at breakfast, with a view on the park. Our room was upgraded for free, with complimentary water, tea and coffee.

The wifi is not for free, unless you are Marriott member (you can register online very quickly for free and tell the membership code at the reception, but they don't tell this as you check in). The rooms are almost completely refurbished but for some details which could be changed and give a different perception.

The location is great for an easy walk into the center/ Christmas Market or to take the U Bahn which is right out the front door. Parking below the hotel was a perk altho' a bit tight. The pleasant housekeeping ladies gave us more coffee packets upon asking without a blink. Beds and pillows very comfortable. Our room looked out onto the Stadsgarten (park) which was nice surprise.

The young man who checked us in wasn't very professional. He rolled his eyes more than once to our simple requests. Perhaps his English isn't the strongest but no one should roll their eyes at a paying customer. My friend fell down in the bathtub while reaching for a towel due to the odd curve at the back of the tub. It was very slippery with no bathtub mat, or traction strips on the bottom of the tub or even just a warning sign. Thankfully she was not very injured.

The lack of flexibility for changing the breakfast bill as I haven't took any and had to still pay for them.

Room was comfortable, large and had large windows that gave a view of the park. Location was excellent. Close to train station and shopping areas, a lot of restaurants and cafes within walking distance

The room gets a bit hot with the sunrise.

The room was cold and when I asked to adjust the temperature they told it is not possible to change the temperature of one room. Most of the bulb were went out, too.

Staff were very helpful, multilingual and left a lovely handwritten card and complimentary drinks for our stay in our room as they knew we were going to a concert. Over and above and the personal touches were appreciated.expectations and wonderful personal touch.
