Staff was excellent. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel is beautiful and is a very old building. The location is 10 out of 10 - amazing! The room was very large and the bathroom comfortable. The restaurnt has great food at a good price.

The hotel’s central location is very convenient, but it does come with some city noise, especially at night. Since there’s no air conditioning or fan, we needed to keep the windows open, which made it a bit warm and harder to block out the noise. The Wi-Fi connection was also a bit spotty during our stay. Still, the overall atmosphere and location were nice—it just might not be ideal for very light sleepers in the warmer months.

About 400 year old rustic place with a charming interior decor updated just enough for modern day comfortable stay for a couple of days. The staff was friendly, professional and efficient. And the room had all things I needed in addition to a comfortable firm mattress. I asked for an electric water heater and got it promptly! Th restaurant is very cozy and busy. I loved the old sagging floors and the funny artwork in the room.

The breakfast was served in the restaurant at the table in plates full of variety of food. It would have been nice if guests were asked for a veg or non veg preference instead of giving a lot of meat which some won't eat. The check in is through the restaurant which I knew already but the reception is a bit tight especially when the restaurant is busy. Other than this, an awesome place with great staff and excellent location.

We found this hotel on our way to Slovenia. It is in a quiet alley in the old city close ro the main street and about 300 m from the parking garage. Reception is at the Dicker Mann restaurant, the rooms are accessed through a seperate entry. Amazing historic building. Comfortable rooms above the restaurant which does not cause issues as it closes in time. The rooms are all individually decorated with a certain theme, we had the Bali room Ideal location. During our stay there was a street theater festival which was real fun with artists all over the city center We decided to have dinner at the restaurant, a positive surprise. Good food at a very reasonable price. Breakfast was included and excellent.

Great location in the centre of the old town, close to all main sights. 15 minute walk from the railway station. All staff very friendly, almost all speak English. The building is very old and interesting - lots of timber and wonky floors! Large, clean, quiet, comfortable room. The restaurant downstairs serves very good food. Excellent value for money.

The shower is over the bath and the shower head didn’t stay at a usable height, so had to be held whilst using it. The double bed is actually two (large) singles, so there is a hard wooden frame between the two halves. Our room was on the third floor. There is no lift and the stairs are uneven height and wonky in places. Not a problem for us, but would be tricky for anyone with mobility issues.

We absolutely loved our stay here! Our room was absolutely lovely, though do note there are only stairs to get to the upper floors so if you have mobility issues ask for a room on a lower floor. The room had all the amenities we needed and was restocked daily. The breakfast that is included is absolutely fantastic! So much food and variety, we loved it! Our last morning there we were leaving very early before their typical breakfast started and when we told the staff that the day before they said they would make us food to go! Everyone was so kind and the location cannot be beat! It's close to everything and very easy to walk everywhere in the city. Our only regret is that we only got to stay for a short time and were only able to have lunch once at the restaurant as the menu and food for lunch and dinner were incredible!

The pillows were VERY soft. Even with two of them they gave almost no support and were uncomfortable. More pillows would help or some firmer options would be nice.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. My room was spacious and comfortable and had a large bath with a very good shower - a bonus after a long hot day of riding a motorcycle! I was able to park my motorcycle right next to the entrance to the restaurant. The food and drink were excellent, with a very extensive menu. And Anastasia looked after us very well :-)

Having to carry all my gear up three very long and rickety wooden stairs to get to my room. I'm sure the staircases were perfectly sound but each step creaked and some moved alarmingly when I trod on them. Also, as it was a warm night I had my window open, and thus was awoken several times by late night revellers singing loudly in nearby streets, but that is hardly the hotel's fault!

I loved everything about this hotel. I chose it because is located in the old town and the hotel is within an ancient building full of atmosphere! The moment I saw the picture on Booking.com it was love at first sight. My room was comfortable and lovely: spacious, with old, traditional furniture in the room but a brand new bathroom and shower. The best part was the staff: they are extremely welcoming and they all speak good english. They also give a complimentary coupon for a drink and a bottle of complimentary water was waiting for me in the room. The restaurant is traditional bavarian restaurant, but unfortunately when I arrived it was a bit late and I had already had dinner. On the other hand I took my time for the breakfast that was delicious and super well presented. It included a fresh croissant, some bread, a soft boiled egg, orange juice plus a hot drink and the most amazing plate of charcruterie, cheeses and fresh fruits. Divine!! The hotel is about 15/20 minutes walking distance from the main train station; with a nice weather is a very pleasant stroll.

The fact that I was there for businness and I could only enjoy my lovely room for few hours and not at all the town :_(

Amazing! Highly recommended! As soon as we arrived we were offered a free drink! The hotel is in the heart of Regensburg, and it's easy to access all the attractions from the hotel. The rooms are in the unique old style merged with some contemporary utilities. The reception is in the restaurant and you can have there a superb dinner! Breakfast was also served perfectly. The hotel doesn't have parking, but there is an underground public parking space just 3 minutes away from the exclusively maintained hotel.

Difficult to say what I liked most about the hotel. For me it was probably the authentic and rustic charme of the complete building and the room. Each room is unique, and you can breathe the history that surrounds the building. There seem to be no straight lines anywhere. Everything is smooth and wonderfully aged. The hotel has a charme that is impossible to describe. If you are a fan of modern and uniform looking hotels, you may need some time to adapt. My room was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Same for the bathroom. And if you get the chance, don't miss out the great restaurant in the same buidling. Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, and each of them went extra miles to make the guests feel welcome. I can wholeheartidly recommend this hotel and restaurant.

It is a cute place with a great restaurant attached. We were welcomed with a complimentary cocktail that was tasty and original. The man who checked us in was jovial and friendly. The room was large and very well apportioned.

The hotel is adjacent to the restaurant and you have to kind of check in at the restaurant and then go through a patio next door to go to the hotel. Not really a bad thing, but out of the ordinary. My only real complaint is that the waitstaff at the restaurant were impatient and gruff. We have German speakers in our party, so it wasn't just impatience with English speakers, rather just grumpiness. Having said that, the waitstaff did peak English, the food arrived in a timely fashion and was very good.
