Charming hotel in a great location to enjoy the Christmas Markets in Rothenburg ob der Tauber - it is straight out of a fairy tale. Pictures online don't do it justice - rooms and indoor spaces much larger than expected. Parking in the back just steps to our room was a bonus! Check in was quick and easy - German efficiency at it's best. Love that it's been family owned for years. The walls surrounding the city were just outside our front door - amazing! We opted for the hotel breakfast which was perfect - simple, but many options. We also enjoyed dinner one night - the beef soup with dumpling was just like home :)

Just one little thing - we had asked for gluhwein "to go" so we could sit outside our hotel for a bit in the evening since they have a cute spot in front, but were told they couldn't allow that - we would have paid for the drink from the bar. Not a deal breaker by any means lol, but many other hotels we stayed at had a complimentary urn with paper cups by their front desk.

This was one of the most economical hotels we found in the city center. The location was great and there was a pass through in the city wall right next to the hotel that led to the parking lot 5 where we had to leave the car. I was very happy we didn't have to drag our bags through the pedestrian only streets to get to our hotel. We knew going in that there was no air conditioning but luckily with the hotel on the outskirts of town there was a breeze most of the time. The elevator was a definite plus. The hotel's restaurant had great food at a reasonable price and the staff was so friendly. It was cool to be able to see the city wall out our window! The power supply was fine as long as we weren't plugged into the headboard sockets, we found that this was a norm for Germany. Luckily we had 3m cords that would reach across the room to the wall outlets.

Because there was no air conditioning we had the windows open and some kids decided to throw a drinking party right under our window so the second night we didn't get to sleep until after midnight. It would be nice if they had fans in the rooms that didn't have AC. The hotel is very close to the church so we always know what time it was, and I think God showed up every morning at 7am because the bells would ring for a long time. Luckily they didn't ring between midnight and 7 otherwise this review would be very different.

The breakfast was fresh, filling, and abundant. The days we stayed, it was in the mid-80's and our AC in our room made us comfortable. Our room looked absolutely brand new, and it was spacious and clean.

Keep in mind that parking is additional, and if you want to park in the hotel parking area, it's double the price of the city parking area outside the wall. You'll have a walk if you take advantage of the city parking.

The hotel was in exceptionally good condition and extremely clean! Breakfast was really good and the parking available near the hotel was really convenient. Thank you very much for a fab stay in Rothenburg 😃

Only complaint - more a grumble - do all Europeans think the only thing British people like watching on TV is the news? And in fairness, this applies to all hotels in mainland Europe we stay in.

Daniel, on the staff although he looks grouchy all the time, he was very nice and walked around the block to help us find the parking spot that was assigned to us, which is hard to find. Very very helpful. Also, a random parkeing attendant violated our car with a ticket we did not deserve. The staff worte us a letter and showed us where the city hall was to petition the ticket. We won.

wish the room had a mini fridge, but other than that, the place was great.

Modern, clean rooms and bathrooms, quiet, air-conditioning, good breakfast.

Tooth mugs in the bathroom had not been cleaned. Tried to book a table in the restaurant but told reservation was not possible only to find several tables had been reserved. However, we were still able to get a table and the food was good.

Great location with parking right in front (but cheaper parking just outside the wall within 5 minutes walk). The staff were friendly and the rooms clean. The elevator was nice to have! Breakfast was amazing, with everything we could think of, including gluten free bread on request.

The rooms were a little small, especially the bathroom, though this is to be expected. It was quite hot when we stayed and there was no air con or fan.

Clean and comfortable, and in an outstanding location. Parking was convenient, both inside the town wall, or if that was full, just outside the wall but very near by. When the gentleman at reception saw my wife was on crutches, without prompting, he rearranged rooms in order to minimize stairs, which was very much appreciated.

The location was good. It was located just within the walls of the town. It was a short walk to the central part of town. The room was spacious enough for 2 adults. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant and it was delicious. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Quick check in with on site parking. Good food at the hotel. Easy to walk to the town center. Helpful staff. Rooms were comfortable. Rooms were ready so we could check in a bit early. Great location just steps from the wall and access to the wall walkway.
