Wonderful staff that was well versed in providing gluten free food options. Rooms were clean and comfortable with lovely balconies and we had an excellent view of Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein from ours. This property had a mini fridge, which I was really excited about having as I didn’t expect it. Breakfast was really delicious. You can tell that the owners of the hotel really care about their guests and put hard work into keeping such a nice space.

Beds are little firmer than I’d like but that is typical for most of Europe and is not unusual.

The location was great. A short walk to Füssen and to Hohenschwangau amd the Alpsee. Breakfast was pretty good and the staff was attentive and friendly. The pair that runs the hotel was great. I could not charge my EV because a very selfish person hogged the charging station for more than 14 hours. The couple offered me their private charging point and charged my car as soon as the inconsiderate Mercedes driver moved their car. Very pleasant couple.

Very comfortable room with a good breakfast included. It is set in a semi quiet rural area less than 2 kms away from the epicentre:start point to commence the top attractions eg Schlosser Neuschwanstein & Hohenschwangau and Alpsee. The hotel is only one bus stop away from it all What was surprising is that the hotel has an excellent restaurant which is very convenient after a day’s work 😊

The view from the room to both castles was perfect. That it was walking distance to Neuschwanstein was a real plus. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast was a great start.

The room got a bit hot, but it's Summer.

We loved our short stay at Hotel Waldmann. We had a family room and the accomodation was very spacious, immaculate, warm and cosy, the beds were the most comfortable we've slept in and we had a stunning view of the two castles. We ate at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and both were very good. In particular the apple strudel dessert and the eggs for breakfast. My only regret is we didn't book for longer!

The only downside was the exhaust in our bathroom didn't work well and wasn't able to extract the steam after four showers, so the bathroom was quite damp in the morning.

This hotel was conveniently located to Fussen and the Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein castles. It is on a main small road but it is very quiet. The breakfast was great with fruits, cheeses, meats, hot and cold drinks. The breakfast room was sunny and inviting. We had a twin room with two beds, one bed on the side as you entered the room and the other bed a few steps away against an outer wall, This was in early October so the windows provided a nice cool breeze at night. The room was very clean and convenient with a table, place to hang clothes and put your luggage (we both had carryon plus small bags). We liked all the available free parking and I believe there are places for EV cars to plug in?! There is no elevator, but if you want the German ambiance, the location, and the very nice staff, then we didn't mind the lovely carpeted stairs. Also the nearby Lake Forggensee was a beautiful drive and walk.

For two nights visit Neuschwanstien Castle, the room was fine. We were in unit 10 which has recently been renovated. Everything is new. Lots of hot water. Quiet at night. If you are planning to rent bikes, the hotel has bikes for rent. We didnt know that. It would have been a great option, instead we rented in Fussen.

No safe in room.

Lovely traditional hotel with great view of both castles. 15 min walk to nearest lake for swimming. Great family room with lovely lighting, bed linen, giant TV to watch Olympics! Good buffet breakfast. Staff welcoming and extremely professional. Bike hire possible, basketball net, swings and trampoline for the kids.

Whilst the room and our Waldmann stay was absolutely great, mattresses were a bit too soft

Good room with superb view of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles, so obviously the location is ideal for visiting those places. Breakfast provided a good selcection. Staff helpfulness and friendliness was excellent.

A couple of minor points: the bathroom had a window which gave on to the balcony of the adjacent room which was a bit disconcerting, and the quality of the towels was a bit disappointing.
