We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a Junior Suite with an Acropolis view and wow, what a view it was. Completely stunning view of Monistiraki Square and the Acropolis. You can lie in bed and see the view. Room was exceptionally clean with high quality Korres toiletries (Greek brand) and beautifully furnished. Bed was very comfortable. Staff very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfast buffet has a brilliant selection and a great view. Rooftop bar is fantastic and you get a voucher for a complimentary glass of wine per stay. Hotel is near to attractions and the metro. Great choice of cafes and restaurants nearby. Hop on hop off buses stop on the road outside the hotel. Highly recommend and we will return

We had an excellent stay in Athens! Although our original booking at A for Athens (made almost a year ago) had to be moved last-minute due to ongoing construction, we were relocated to their sister property, 360 Degree Pop Art Deco Hotel, just across the street. I was initially nervous about the switch, but we were pleasantly surprised. The service was outstanding, the staff were warm and helpful, and the location couldn't have been better — right in the heart of everything. The rooms were modern, clean, and stylish. Overall, a fantastic experience. Highly recommend!

Fantastic location, near to attractions and the metro. Lots of nearby fantastic cafes and restaurants to choose from. Helpful staff. Great selection at the breakfast buffet with an amazing view of the Acropolis and Monistiraki square. Beds very comfortable and great Korres toiletries provided. Exceptionally clean. Highly recommend and will return

Some rooms can be noisy from the rooftop bar if you are a light sleeper. Ear plugs are available if required.

Our room was on the fourth floor looking directly at the Acropolis - a simply stunning view at night. Room and bathroom were tastefully decorated. Bed comfy. An Athens Metro station is directly under the hotel and many of the cities sightseeing highlights are within walking distance. Plenty of dining and drinking options located all around the hotel - both tourist and local haunts. There's a rooftop bar too which has great views.

The kitchen was under renovation while we were there so breakfast was served in another one of their hotels which was a short stroll from the front door. However the breakfast was excellent - a full buffet of hot and cold choices - which more than made up for any inconvenience.

With 2 nights in Athens we wanted a place close to the Acropolis with a view. A for Athens was great! Right on Monistiraki square, this place excels in both service and location. Alex at the front desk was great. Friendly, gave us tips on getting a reservation at the outstanding hotel bar, and tips for local restaurants (including making a reservation for us). The room was very comfortable and quiet despite the bustling location and bar. Now about the bar. Definitely one of the coolest rooftop spots in Athens, with a great Acropolis view and superb craft drinks. Lots of folks coming into the hotel for the bar, so being able to get a table because we were staying there was a bonus. Andreas was our waiter and he was just so genuine and enjoyable. A great way to anchor in Athens for a couple of days.

No concerns.

We recently stayed at A for Athens and had a fantastic experience. We booked the newly renovated Acropolis View Room with a balcony and were pleasantly surprised when our second room was upgraded to an Acropolis View Junior Suite. Both rooms were beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and offered absolutely stunning views of the Acropolis. The rooftop bar was a definite highlight with a great atmosphere and unbeatable views. If you're visiting Athens, A for Athens is definitely the place to be — highly recommended!

Just a tip for those travelling with a car, traffic in athens , especially around this area can be quite hectic. 24/7 carpark is about 500 m away

Fantastic location, easy to get anywhere, across the road from Monastaraki and easy access to taxis. Amazing views of the Acropolis. Easy check in, staff were pretty good except they forgot who you were within 5 minutes of check in. Overall amazing experience. The rooms were great, great atmosphere and easy access to everything.

Rooftop bar treated me like sh*t. I ordered a drink and waited for ages, then when wanting to order another drink it was like I didn't exist. They walked past me, were rude and did not offer any level of customer service. Even during breakfast the rooftop staff were non existent. I would not stay here again for this reason alone. We ended up going somewhere else for drinks.

The location is amazing. The Metro is across the road. Walking distance to all the ancient ruins including the Acropolis. The roof top restaurant for breakfast daily. What a view and what a spread!! Delicious. So much choice. Best buffet breakfast we’ve had.

The bar fridge wasn’t cold. At all. Also it’s basically look after yourself. The reception girls are lovely and friendly but if you’re not a self starter, not a lot of help to be had. The bar staff were rude. And slow. Waited 15 mins sitting AT the bar for a glass of wine! But this is nit picking. It’s a great place to stay.

Location was great, literally on Monastiraki Square, so going to & from the Airport via the metro, was very easily. The room was excellent, great size, comfortable & clean - I booked a room with Acropolis view & it was perfect, as advertised. Despite being right on the square. which naturally gets very busy, there was no noise at all at night, when the windows were closed. Breakfast was really good also - buffet style, with a good mix of options. I felt the price I paid per night for the quality of room, location & overall experience was very good value for money, compared to other European Cities, so overall very happy.

Central location, very friendly and welcoming staff, the junior suit view to the Acropolis is amazing! Windows were sound proof.

Breakfast was good but the same every day.
