The food - we had the all inclusive option and for us it was the best choice! The food was always fresh and tasty, and plenty of variety to choose from. Even though there aren’t a ton of food options like it’s the case for most all inclusive, we thought there was just enough to choose from. Several meat options, vegetarian dishes, garnishes and vegetables, pasta/pizza every day for lunch and dinner (perfect for children I suppose), aperitifs and salads - plenty to construct your meal. The selection of sweets is not very large, but everything we tasted was so good. Especially the pancakes! For us in one week, the meals were not repetitive (except the breakfast, which is normal), and every evening there were dishes from a different cuisine - we mostly enjoyed the Mexican and Cretan dinners! The people - always welcoming and friendly, they helped us with anything and we never felt like we were there to disturb them. The pool(s) - there are 3 pools to choose from, we used the one right next to our room. We liked it because it was pretty big and cleaned every day, and it wasn’t “closed” at an early hour, like it’s the case for other resorts. The location - even though we were a bit scared reading the reviews saying there is a very steep way up to the hotel (it really is, the last 200m or so) we were relieved to find out they have lifts to take you to the top and back down of the resort. The Gorgona beach is 10-15 minutes away on foot, very accessible. The views from the hotel, especially from the restaurant are amazing, we watched the sunset a couple of times from there! The room - clean, large, nicely decorated room, we even had a kitchenette that we didn’t used, but it’s good to know it was well equipped and I think it would be useful for non all-inclusive stays. The bed was comfortable and air conditioning was well appreciated. The cats - omg, there are so many cats everywhere! We love cats and for us it was funny watching them or playing with them.

The only thing I would mention, though not the fault of resort but something they could improve in the future, is the lack of a life guard or person watching the pools from time to time. The pool rules are not followed, people and children would jump in the pool, splashing people staying on sun lounges, running around the pool and screaming all day long. There were some days where a group of people would make so much noise, occupying the entire pool, that the rest of us who just wanted a calm day would wait for them to go to have a quiet swim in the pool. A person watching that the pool rules are respected, or maybe having a pool dedicated to adults only would help with this regard.

We stayed for 5 nights. We had an all in package. We enjoyed the buffet. It was a lot of variety everyday, specially lunch and dinner. Front office and pool bar staffs are very helpful and friendly. Hotel organized a nice hamper of fruits, a bottle of wine for my husband's birthday. They also granted my request with the surprise birthday cake. That was super sweet. 3 pools area was really nice. Rooms was made everyday except of Sunday. Bus to Chania city comes every 30min, takes 20-30 mins ride to reach.

Can't change the fact that the hotel is 15 mins up the hill from the main road and the nearest beach. We enjoyed our walk. It is important to know for family with younger children who do not enjoy walking or need to carry stuff up and down the hill. This is probably one of the consideration. The pool bar buffet needs work on the presentation. Staffs at the restaurant need training. Restaurant Manager needs to change his attitude towards his team. Please do not scold your staffs, that is rude.

The best thing about this hotel is the location! waking up every morning to amazing views! yes, you need to walk and climb stairs - but it is totally worth it! the room was nice and big. breakfast was good. our kids loved the small water park.

the hotel doesn't provide pool towels! you have to go and buy towels when you arrive - very strange for hotel with 6 pools and walking distance from the beach. It is also not mentioned anywhere - so we were not prepared and did not bring towels from home.

great views, silence, big appartments, friendly staff, child-friendly don't be afraid of the hillside location, there are two elevators to help you pass the steepest hill, and the way to the beach is nice and calm, with a few great restaurants along the way!

more vegan options during breakfast would be great and better coffee (with bigger cups :)) i think the place is perfect for families with children of any age, but would perhaps not recommend for singles or couples without children (unless you're fine with having only a lot of kids and families around you)

The hotel is really lovely. The amenities and rooms are amazing. Rooms include little kitchenet, balcony and very spacious living room, as well as bedroom. The room service was daily and common areas for the guests were cleaned regularly. View from the hotel is amazing, however it's location is quite difficult to manage. Excellent value for money.

The food in the restaurant and pool bar was poor and expensive for its quality. We waited 45 minutes for bowl of chips, which costed astonishing 9 Euro. What we got was what look like leftovers chips, that were cold. I think the hotel is severely understaffed. The poor bar staff was struggling and almost in tears. This happened daily. They also should reconsider their processes and communication between the kitchen & waitresses.

- Views! - Service! Reception is top notch and thanks to Elena also very friendly - Restaurant with amazing views and perfect management! Food is really tasteful and organised in way that you have for example 2days greek kitchen, 2days china, 2days italy etc. So it is repetitive but not noticeable except breakfasts which are same everyday (but plenty to choose from!) - Kids play room with AC and toilet - Main pool with shallow water for babies - Kids water park is nice but for kids 8 above. Water is also a little bit colder and some of the waterguns do not work - Spacious rooms, clean feel and well equipped - Minimarket on premises till 23ish - Free sunbed on Gordona beach - For all-inclusive plenty of softdrinks, beer on tap, wine on tap, cocktails and snacks throughout the day!

- Stairs everywhere, so bear in mind if you are old or have difficulties. There are pavements and roads around to get to certain level of rooms but are steep. We visited with 2.7year old daughter with pram and managed without hassle - No shuttle service to nearest beach (10ish min walk downhill)

The hotel was absolutely fantastic! The rooms were spacious and impeccably clean, with comfortable beds and modern amenities. The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious, with a wide variety of options that satisfied all tastes. Overall, it was an exceptional experience, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great stay.

The only downside was the location, as the hotel is situated at the top of a hill, making it a bit difficult to access, especially if you don't have a car. However, there are elevators within the hotel that help you reach it easily, even without a vehicle.

Very kind staff, they upgrated our room to a better one with sea view 😊 room cleaning was very good, towels and also bedsheets were changed every second day. There is market in the area of hotel. There is also beach bar Gorgona, where you can get some free sunbeds for hotel cuatomers. There are showers and toilets 🙂

What we really miss was that hotel doesnt provide pool towels, so you need to bring your own, and the same with hotel slippers. Also.. we had all inclusive but we didnt have included drinks at beach bar.

great food options every day; restaurant with a very nice view over the sea and an island; several pools to choose from; not very far from the sea (10-15 min walk) and there is an agreement with a nice beach club; minimarket inside the village open until midnight every day

maybe too many cats everywhere but it makes part of the Greek tradition; the animation was only 2 nights per week, some more events would have been apreciable
