The quiet location, the view of the sun rise from the bedroom in the morning. The hot tub was excellent albeit a bit cool at 32 degrees.

The steps going up were very unsafe without handrails, could easily fall into the hot tub of the neighbours. Unfortunately there's a building site next door and the works were a small bit noisy but in fairness they were aware of the accommodation and weren't there too long during the day

Highly recommend! Excellent hospitality, Dimitri was a great host and made sure we had a comfortable stay. Helped with arranging taxis for us and gave us good recommendations for activities The suite itself was great, amazing view and really clean and comfortable. Only a few minutes away from the town centre from where you can get public transport to other parts of the island.

Location could be closer to town -but not bad.

What isn’t there to say about Altemar Suites. First of all- don’t worry about making any plans because Dimitris at the front desk will walk you through the best of the best in all of Santorini - from restaurants to day trips to local adventures and navigating the island. The facility is excellent- clean, spacious and still offers that signature Santorini look. It’s a great location - so close to the center square (three minute walk) but enough of a distance away from the noise - and you can have a car take you right to the steps of the hotel - so no problems carrying luggage.

Love the location of the Altemar suites - a short walk into Santorini but far enough away from the busyness of it. The rooms are very modern, comfortable with great WiFi and the best shower. I can’t express enough how phenomenal Demetrius is (the receptionist/owner). He was super welcoming, full of tips and suggestions and so helpful for booking anything. I’ve never had as good a welcome from a hotel

Hot tubs in Greece aren’t really hot tubs… the Altermar I guess was no different. They’re just kinda chilly little pools that I imagine, if it’s really hot and you’re sunbathing, are nice to cool off in. But don’t go thinking it’s a ‘hot’ tub, because they aren’t. It was a windy and fairly chilly few days we were here for so didn’t make it in the tub, which is a shame because if it was like the hot tubs we’re used to in the UK it would’ve been great to relax in

Initially the entrance was a little bit hard to find, but our check in process was smooth with a friendly accommodating receptionist/owner Dimitri. We were pleasantly surprised by the room! Very comfy beds, well equipped bathrooms with bathrobes and extra make up-friendly face towels (a lovely touch!), nice and chic interiors, pretty view of Santorini from our room and a cosy lil hot tub. Coffee machine, basic cutlery and plates, and a mini fridge were also offered, which was sweet. The AC worked well, which was a relief with the hot summer weather. Our group also had a fifth person, and the hotel staff had kindly made up the sofa bed ahead of our arrival, which was very considerate.

Bit expensive for what it was but it was peak tourist season in Santorini, so reasonable in that sense. The location was also centrally located but be aware that you have to walk on a busy main road to get into the town centre. The hotel 'pool' was very small and public, so we did not end up using it.

Convenient location that you could walk to get food. The room had plenty of space.

We left our luggage in the morning after checking out whilst we did some more things around the island. We were told just to put the bags to the side, thinking that they would be secured after us leaving, they were not. After returning 5 hours later they were still where we left them. They were insight of the office but not what I had expected.

Such a nice place to stay! We stayed here for six nights. Great location so close to everything. Very clean and spacious. Loved the hot tub. Demitri was very welcoming he organised a boat trip for us to do, it was the best part of the trip. He also gave us restaurant recommendations which were outstanding. I would highly recommend anybody travelling to Santorini to stay here. It was an absolutely amazing place to stay! And we will definitely be returning.

Everything was perfect

We stayed at Altemar Suites for 10 days so we really got to make use of all facilities. We really liked having a hot tub as we were visiting in August and it was very hot. This was perfect to have a little cool down after a day of activities before going for dinner. Alternatively there is also a normal pool but we didn’t use that one. The location was also great as it’s close to lots of restaurants and cafes but it’s still a quiet location.

There was nothing we didn’t like. We even had to postpone our trip for a year but this was no problem and everything worked well.

Location, property, place and feel is literally the best you could ask for. And special mention to one of the best host Dimitris one could ask for. The help and guidance he provided throughout our trip is extraordinary. The location is perfect and only 5 minutes walk to the Fira centre, restaurants, breathtaking views, bus station etc
