Fantastic place, highly recommend! Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff were all very friendly. Service was exceptional—our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels provided. The location is perfect: just 2 minutes’ walk from a bakery and about 5 minutes to the town center, yet far enough away to enjoy quiet evenings in the room.

The only downsides for me were the kitchen annex, which didn’t include basic utensils (no plates, cutlery, etc.), and the toilet, which had very low water pressure and often required multiple flushes and extra cleaning. However, these were minor issues and definitely not deal breakers considering the overall experience

The hostess is the sweetest, friendliest lady. Overall, this is a great option for those who want a good value, at a location that is walking distance to everything in Fira. Plus, if you do rent a car, there's plenty of free parking right at the property. We really enjoyed staying at the Pension Ptolemeos. .

The bathroom is tiny. On the upside, the shower did have a shower curtain (many of the other locations we stayed at featured the more modern, open showers, which I find to be silly, because you end up spraying the whole bathroom every time you take a shower). Our unit had a mini-fridge but no cooktop or sink outside the bathroom (something that the next-door unit had). The extra bed that was added to accommodate the fourth person in our group was a very uncomfortable chair that opened up into a bed. I would not recommend this for an adult.

Exceptional stay – the host, location & facilities every traveller dreams of! Katerina was an amazing host - so kind and thoughtful. She let us check in early, gave great local tips, and made sure we had everything we needed. The room was big, bright, and super comfy it was best sleep we’ve had in ages! (Great bed and pillows). The location couldn’t have been better – right by the main street, near a supermarket, and everything was within walking distance!! When we asked for bowls for our breakfast, she happily provided them with a treat too, which was such a lovely touch. We’ve been travelling for a while now, and it’s hosts like Katerina who truly make a place and a trip special. Thank you so much!

We had a wonderful stay at Pension Ptolemeos! 1. The host, Katerina, is a kind and caring elderly lady. She was always ready to help with any questions we had about Santorini, and she provided us with great support during our stay. From changing the bed sheets daily to offering a microwave for heating food, she made us feel truly at home. 2. The accommodation offers great value for money. It’s in an excellent location—just a short walk to the center of Fira—making it super convenient for shopping and dining. 3. We also loved the private swimming pool just outside our room! It was the perfect place to relax, soak in the cool water, and enjoy the warmth of the Mediterranean sun.

Katerina was so lovely and helpful. Treated us like family and helped with everything we asked for. We had a triple room which was perfect. There was plenty of space for luggage and a big wardrobe with a safe. Everything was so clean and well presented. The bathroom was basic, no different from other hotels we’ve stayed throughout Europe. We had a little balcony overlooking the pool which was gorgeous. There was a little table and chairs and also a small pullout clothes line. The beds and linen were so comfortable as were the pillows. It felt so safe was quiet. The bus stop, shops and eateries are no more than a 5 minute walk which was perfect for us. Katerina stored our luggage after checkout. If I go to Santorini again I’ll be sure to stay here again. Such a great price too

This is our second year in a row staying at Pension Ptolemeos. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The staff is very friendly. Katerina is absolutely lovely and always ready to go out of her way to make you happy. She truly takes great care of you. There’s a perfectly comfortable swimming pool. The rooms are welcoming and spotlessly clean. The location is excellent, right next to the bus station. But above all, what stands out is the incredible kindness and availability of the people who run this pension. Go for it — you won’t be disappointed.

We had a wonderful stay in Santorini! Katrina, our host, was incredibly lovely, sweet, and kind—she truly made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. She generously allowed us to store our luggage, which made everything so much easier, and went out of her way to offer great recommendations for the best sunset spots and local attractions. Her warm hospitality really added to our experience. The accommodation itself was lovely and comfortable. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Santorini!

We stayed at this hotel for two days, and the service was absolutely top-notch. We never felt the lack of anything during our stay, and every small detail was thoughtfully taken care of. The location was perfect, conveniently close to the bus station and Fira, making it incredibly easy for us to explore the area. A special mention goes to Memoza, who was extremely helpful and guided us with everything we needed. We are truly thankful for her support. For convenience, I would rate this place 10 out of 10. Everything was managed perfectly. The hotel provided us with morning snacks and water, which added to the comfort of our stay. Our room was fantastic, with a very comfortable bed and a balcony where we enjoyed spending time. Every aspect of our stay was flawless, and we never once felt homesick. This hotel truly made us feel at home!

We were warmly greeted by a lovely lady who was incredibly kind and highly knowledgeable about the island. She gave us a map and took the time to explain the main landmarks. She then showed us to our room, which was spotless, very spacious, and already cooled with air conditioning—a welcome relief as it was around 34 degrees outside. There’s also a small communal pool, which was a pleasant bonus. The location is perfect: right in the heart of Fira. Just outside the hotel, there’s a great spot for breakfast and a convenient quad rental place. The center of Fira is just a 3-minute walk away.

The bathroom could use a bit of refurbishment.

The property was perfect! The amenities were stunning (the pool was the perfect way to relax and cool off), and the location was prime. Everything was perfectly clean, and nothing was ever dirty. The internet worked perfectly as well. Most importantly, the staff were amazing. The older lady that owns the place was literally the sweetest person ever, along with her partner that worked the reception. They both cared deeply that our stay was good, and helped us with directions and booking cabs. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a relaxing stay in Fira Santorini, close to nightlife and restaurants while being far enough away that it is not loud.
