Everything about this hotel is incredible! The room, the family run business, service, pool, food! It's like home from home. The family go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. We were picked up at the port as soon as we arrived, a glass of juice as we checked in, a detailed map and explanation of different locations and the buses with times and price. Luggage taken to our rooms and tour of our room and hotel. Welcoming smile every time we saw a member of the family! The TV has a Homer inn channel that let's you know when the next bus is.

The owners and staff of this hotel can’t do enough for you. They treat you like family and are so helpful and informative of the island and places to visit and where to eat. Location excellent just up the hill from a lovely port and either a walk or bus ride to Chora at the top of the hill as the bus stops right outside the hotel. The pool and pool area is stunning with amazing views. Everywhere is immaculately clean and the wifi is great for those who need it. The staff make this place so special and we only wish we had stayed longer. Will definitely go back.

Family that ran the hotel were fantastic - drove us to and from the port free of charge and were very helpful for anything we needed or any questions we had. For example, we couldn’t get a taxi to Pathos one evening, and they rang a friend who was a taxi driver who brought us there! Such nice people! Room was really spacious with a nice little balcony, had everything we needed. Pool area was really nice with a lovely little bar there. Really friendly man who ran the bar. Pool was really nice too.

We had a lovely stay here and thoroughly enjoyed the area and island. The hosts are wonderful and we felt very very welcome and looked after. Rooms were very good. Two things that would have made it better was a kettle in the room to make a drink and a window in the second bedroom as it was incredible dark. Pool was lovely and was huge. There was a small kids pool too. Might need to think about seating to help parents with monitoring kids as there wasn’t any shade around the pool area near the kids pool. But there was shade by the pool bar.

As two girls island hopping, we felt completely safe in this hotel. This family run hotel is the kindest people. They picked us up from the port and greeted us with water and orange juice. They showed us a map of the island, information about taxis, bus's clubs and bars. The rooms are big clean and well air-conditioned, the swimming pool is huge, there is a little pool bar for drinks and food. It's about a 10/15 minute walk to town, They dropped us back off to the port when it was our time to leave. I would highly recommend this hotel.we had the best time!

We loved meeting the family and getting very personalized attention. The pick-up from the ferry at 1am was the first wonderful impression of being taken good care of. Antonia encouraged my tiny knowledge of Greek, Panos helped with cold medicine. We enjoyed the beakfast terrace and the foods offered. The pool area is beautiful, too.

We found the pillows a bit to thick for our normal sleeping positions, a choice if thinner or thicker might be good. That is the only suggestion.

We absolutely loved our stay here! This is a family business and you are treated like family. The room is more like an apartment and was spotless. Very spacious and modern. We had a beautiful view of the sea from our large balcony. The pool is huge and the lounge area spacious with plenty of sun lounge chairs. You can see the sea from your sun lounge by the pool! Breakfast is served on the main balcony by the family and again you are exposed to magnificent views of the sea. They couldn't do enough for us! We were picked up and dropped back to the port for free, everyone was always friendly and courteous with lots of recommendations on where to eat and visit. The hotel is 7 minute walk from the port and 12 minutes walk to Chora (town). The area was quiet and we slept really well every night. We are looking forward to coming back and bringing all our family with us!

The hotel is located a couple of hundred metres from the port area adjacent to the road up to Ios Chora which you can reach using the very regular bus service from the bus stop right outside the hotel. The bus takes about five minutes to get to the Chora and a further five minutes to get to the main beach, Mylopotas, beyond that. Our room was a good size, very clean and had a large balcony. The hotel has a lovely pool area with a bar that's open from early afternoon. The one thing which really makes this hotel special however is the family that own and run it, in my 35 years of travelling around Greece I don't think that I've come across nicer people. Nothing was too much trouble for them, we would return to The Homers Inn just to experience their sincere, dedicated service again.

If I'm being honest the beds were a little too soft for me but that's because I'm used to sleeping on a very firm bed at home, but that's just me and it wouldn't stop me returning to the hotel if I ever visit Ios again.

Fantastic family run hotel. Cannot speak too highly of the service, warmth, and professionalism of this hotel. Our view from the large shaded verandah was second to none. Excellent pool with bar and food, great service, and friendly staff. We had a large room, a comfortable bed, excellent housekeeping and lovely marble floors - excellent air conditioning and a great clotthes line - everything we needed for a 7 night stay. We were walking distance to the port and the Chora. Bus stops across the road, too. We had issues with left luggage from the previous island, and Panos went to endless trouble to solve our problem. We are grateful for the personal attentions.

Homer’s Inn is located on the main road half way between the port and the town. It is about a 10 minute walk each way They picked me up and took me back to the port..no charge..great pool..big room…coffee available all day..and he gives a little TD perch on where everything is. Overall excellent!!

The only thing is if you rent a car the parking is a bit tight…but that is an issue everywhere on IOS.
