We really liked this hotel. The interior was like going back in time about 100 years and reminded me of old fashioned luxury. Location in the city of Rhodes was excellent. It was easy to walk to all the attractions in Rhodes town especially the medieval walled city which was great to walk around with its cobbled streets and alleys. Breakfast was also good and the breakfast room was particularly grand with outside space for dining if required. You could also order your hot breakfast(e.g. Full English) which was brought to your table by friendly staff. The hotel is also a casino which is open all night but was not a problem to us as we don't gamble.

Our room was probably one of the smaller ones but it suited our budget and was fine for a couple.

The hotel breakfast was fantastic and catered for the needs of vegetarians and vegans as well as regular diets. There was ample, free parking on site (big bonus - it's a busy area) and the hotel is an easy walk to the Old Town. It's a classic, 1920'a hotel that has been very well maintained and most of the staff were super-friendly and helpful.

We had a very nice room with an ocean view, however it was quite noisy on a Saturday night due to the a nearby beach/nightclub. It was fine on other nights. Also, I had assumed the beach in front of the hotel was part of the faciliites that guests could use. It isn't, and we had to pay extra for beach chairs. There's a casino in the hotel.

The Grande Albergo Delle Rose is one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in. Our junior suite was spacious, immaculately clean, and so comfortable—it felt like a lovely place to come back to at the end of the day. Breakfast was a highlight each day, with a lovely cold buffet and tasty hot options to order. We also had a couple of meals at the beach restaurant and really enjoyed both. The whole stay was relaxing, and just what we needed. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it!

We are absolutely satisfied with the time spent at the hotel. Special thanks to the restaurant staff who started our day with excellent service at breakfast and to the restaurant's general manager who was very attentive and customer-oriented at dinner!

In our room, door stoppers were installed on the bathroom floor to prevent the door from hitting the wall. Unfortunately, we repeatedly injured our feet by accidentally tripping over this fix. I believe your architect will be able to find a safer solution for the door so that guests do not injure their feet in the bathroom. Thanks in advance

The elegance and decor

The pool was open to the general public and you had to pay for the Sun beds on the beach.

We had a lovely weekend at Rhodes and this was definitely in part due to our stay at the Grande Albergo delle Rose. The location, ambiance and staff were absolutely top class!! A beautifully maintained historic hotel, it is strategically located at the tip of the island, it was a short walk from the historic old town and harbour. Breakfast was incredibly generous and the food on the whole was delicious, although we would've loved to have the opportunity to also taste a few greek dishes on the international menu. The hotel also laid out a nice spread of fruit, cookies, cakes, tea and coffee for guests every night till breakfast time which was a nice touch. The beach is very accessible from the property and has a nice sense of privacy and seclusion, although in early spring it was too cold to swim. The hotel also has a casino with separate access and a spa. We cannot compliment the staff enough for their professional yet extremely kind, warm and friendly demeanour - everyone right from reception to housekeeping, butlers and restaurant staff really made you feel welcome. Highly recommended if you are interested in the history and culture of the island and want to have a unique and memorable experience!

A beautiful hotel in a great location, lovely big room, fantastic breakfast and staff that went above and beyond to make our stay happy and comfortable.

There isn’t really anything that we didn’t like. If I was looking for something to suggest as an improvement then I would say that access to the hotel bar isn’t very intuitive as you have to go through the casino which wasn’t particularly convenient for us as our room directly overlooked it. And although there’s a really lovely dining room which we are breakfast in, this wasn’t open for any other meals. There isn’t a restaurant inside the hotel, though they have one just outside the hotel gate at their beach club. The quality and service were brilliant…

I stayed with my daughter at Grande Albergo in July and we had a truly amazing experience. The hotel has the elegance of the good old days, the breakfast room is abolutely spectacular and the room very confortable. It felt a bit like travelling in time to some glamorous era. Location is perfect to reach the city center and we enjoyed very much the pool area. But what greatly enhances the value of the hotel is the STAFF, a bit thank you to everyone, starting with the ladies at the reception (Ms Nectaria and Ms Emilia), the breakfast personnel and the pool lifeguard, Mr. Pietros. Their level of professionalism, hospitality and kindness exceeded our expectations. We will defitely return.

Location!! Location right on the beach side! A short walk to lovely restaurants, shops, the port, old town and new town! And only 30 mins to the airport! Comfortable beds, small bathroom with bath and shower over bath with traditional Greek olive toiletries. Great pool area with comfortable loungers and excellent life guard who provided towels and helped with the parasols, he’s there til 6 pm daily, great music at the pool too! Emily [I hope I got her name right) at reception in the afternoon is a credit to the hotel so friendly and helpful. Delicious and varied breakfasts I opted for pancakes twice though they weren’t on the menu it wasn’t a problem to provide them. Nice beach bar/restaurant too.

Unfortunately You had to register with the casino to enter the rooftop cocktail bar, weee we enjoyed the lovely view over the pool and beach area.

Location was great - easy walk to old town and harbour, and plenty of good nearby restaurants. Rooms were lovely and big with comfy beds. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good and the roof top bar lovely.

Some of the facilities are in need of an upgrade - shower was over bath with an added step to get bath in as it is quite high. Our first room the a/c was ineffective (we moved rooms and was fine). Not much else wrong happily.
