The hotel's location is excellent. There's no on-site parking, but there's a large parking lot right behind the hotel where you can park for €15 per day. We stayed in both the junior suite and the penthouse with a terrace. I wouldn't say the cleanliness was top-notch, but the bed linens were clean. We specifically chose larger rooms, and the penthouse was nice, though the junior suite wasn’t very spacious. The bathrooms are old, and the carpets didn’t give a very clean impression. The penthouse balcony was quite nice. Breakfast was very good, and the staff at the restaurant were extremely friendly. The gentleman at the reception was also very polite, though I can’t say the same for the blonde lady. We absolutely loved Sofia, who works in the restaurant—she was energetic, professional, cheerful, and very helpful. Thanks to her, we felt even more positively about the hotel

Great location, not far from the port if you're arriving by ferry, but also in a commanding position on a major junction of two of the main shopping streets. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, It was all spotless and they had everything you could think of for breakfast. I was on the 7th floor, but the lift was quick and the marble steps immaculate. The airconditioning in the room comes on automatically and after a hot day, it was bliss!

The building is a C shape, so if you want a room with a view, ask for the front curve. Nothing to fault here. It will certainly be my choice of hotel when I return - a real find.

Staff was very welcoming. Breakfast is great. Rooms are clean and spacious. Bathroom was very nice. We stayed in connected rooms with our children and both rooms were great. 401 and 402. Balcony doors are great and they provided sound barrier against very busy street on which hotel is located. Saying that, location of hotel is great. It is placed near Ladadika - sort of old town. Area full of coffeeshops, restaurants and bars. 100m from sea and main walking area.

Some facilities are bit dated. Doors between rooms can be closed but can not be locked. AC control was bit off, but we got it figured out in the end. AC in one room was misbehaving in sense working/not working at times.

Great location, close to the port, lots of restaurants and cafés nearby, big room, adequate breakfast, mini espresso machine in the room, very silent A/C, balcony. As shown in the information provided by booking, the hotel does not have its own parking but there is a big multilevel parking very close by, where you can safely park and keep your car in the shade (15 euros per day)

well it is a 3 star hotel, people shouldn't expect 4 star conditions, the hotel could use a "facelift", some signs of wear and tear here and there. I saw a lot of people complained about the shower, for us it was ok as the size was pretty decent and the water had no way of coming out of the shower(see picture).

The location of the hotel is excellent. A few steps from the bohemian quarter of Ladadika with cobbled streets and lively tavernas, bistros and espresso bars, if you want fine dining and wining with live music at night. Close to the port, seafront and the Aristoteli square, ancient Roman forum, medieval churches and monasteries. Tzimiskis street with endless shops, boutiques and outlets is the starting point ( or the ending, depending of where you are ) from the hotel Astoria. The breakfast was indeed decent with lots of choices, rooms very clean and the staff very helpful and polite. Family of five, two rooms, no complaints. Three big parking lots left and right from the hotel. Negotiate for the price for all day parking if you are arriving by a car

The hotel is located right at the entrance of Thessaloniki, which makes it super convenient if you're arriving by car. There's a very affordable parking lot nearby where you can safely leave your vehicle for just 25 euros per 24 hours. One of the highlights is its proximity to the port area – just a 3-minute walk away – where you'll find a variety of restaurants and bars along the waterfront. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxing evening or a quick bite. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're looking for easy access, decent comfort, and a good base to explore the city

It was a good hotel in a good central location on Tsimiski street. The room was OK, the lighting was good and it had a small balcony that was OK. The size of the room was good enough but the bathroom was a bid small making it difficult for us the use of the shower which was very small. Good enough though for the money we paid. The breakfast unexpectedly was very satisfying and had a good variety to choose from and good quality too.

The fact that the mattresses of the beds were old and uncomfortable 😣 and the pillows were flattened from the many years of use. The balcony was not equipped with furniture, not even one chair to sit on. Not a bad hotel for a few days though.

Hotel Astoria is at great location, in centre, close to port and everything. Well equipped, modern room, that has all you need. Breakfast offers great variety of quality food, coffee is also pretty nice (this is crucial to me in the morning 😉)! I would also like to highlight the kindness of the guy Giorgos at the Reception, who was always happy to help in everything - giving directions/offering restaurants. His friendliness and positive personality made the stay even nicer! All in all, Hotel Astoria in my opinion is great and I highly recommend it! I also recommend to visit Thessaloniki - a great and vibrant city.

The facilities and location were perfect for a city break however the most memorable hotel stay was all down to the amazing staff at the front desk. Katerina was truly the BEST from great advice on what to do in the city, where to eat or how to travel around. She was the most dedicated, considerate and sweet concierge we have ever encountered and even made sure we received a proper Thessaloniki experience by sharing her favourite sweet treats with us. We honestly feel like we made a long time friend in her and she would be the strongest reason for us to return to the hotel, and would recommend others to do so as well.

It was a shame that there was no gym or spa facilities.

The Astoria Hotel in Thessaloniki is a true gem, offering a harmonious blend of modern amenities and historic charm. Located in the bustling city center, it's an ideal base for exploring the city's rich heritage, with the historic Tower and the scenic waterfront just a short walk away. Guests can expect well-appointed rooms that promise comfort and style, with many panoramic views of the urban landscape. The hotel's restaurant is a culinary delight, serving an array of Greek and Mediterranean dishes crafted from the freshest ingredients. While some guests have noted the compact showers and occasional noise, the overall consensus is one of satisfaction with the hotel's cleanliness and service, particularly highlighting the warm hospitality provided by the staff members. Whether it's for business or leisure, the Astoria Hotel is a choice that offers a memorable stay in the heart of Thessaloniki.
