Hotel Rex is located just 100 metres from Thessaloniki (Monastirion) railway and intercity bus station - not to be mixed with KTEL Makedonia bus terminal, which is few km away, but most international and domestic buses depart and arrive also to Monastirion terminal. The airport bus stop is just 100 metres from the hotel. Ideal place when you are transiting Thessaloniki, or want to stay few days here. The staff was super friendly, I got a better room than I had booked - with XL comfy double bed and big balcony with city view. The rooms have comfortable beds, clean and renovated bathrooms, fast WiFi, TV and small fridge. Nothing to complain about - you may find better price in Thessaloniki, but when you are arriving or leaving by bus, train or plane, Rex is "the place": the reception works 24/7, the staff is really helpful, and when arriving by intercity bus, you can see the big sign HOTEL REX from the bus station - it's so close. The same about guests arriving/departing from Thessaloniki airport: maybe you pay few Euros more than in some other hotel, but you don't need to spend €25 on taxi, as the airport express bus brings you right there, and also departs to airport ca 100 metres from Rex. Good value for money, rooms are renovated and really clean. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Thank you!

Great value for money if you need a place reasonably close to the center but don’t plan on spending a lot of time in the room as it is quite small. In contrast the balcony was huge and had chairs and a table - my personal highlight!

The room was quite small, which is disclosed in the description and I was ok with, but the layout of the bathroom is just inconvenient for any plus-sized person. Sitting on the toilet required maneuvering, and this is coming from an average-sized woman, meaning my husband (90kgs) would have difficulty squeezing in.

Good hotel right opposite of Thessaloniki railway station and Monastiriou international/intercity bus stop. Maybe few Euros more than similar hotels 2 km away, but perfect for an overnight/transit stay. The staff is extremely helpful, I was allowed to check in early, and room upgrade was given. There is a 24/4 minimarket in the same building, airport bus stop 100 metres away, and supermarket in 4 minutes walking distance.

The cost-benefit relationship is really good. The room has everything needed to stay conformable, including air conditioning and fridge. Location is good, close to city center close to harbour and I was specifically in a scientific conference where the hotel was 30 minutes walking.

The room was exceptionally clean, bed sheets and towels were replaced daily. Staff was very friendly. I always stay at Hotel Rex when I visit Thessaloniki, I have for years now and will most definitely stay there again. I love its location.

Everything was great!

The staff were amazingly sweet and polite. The location was great; extremely close to the train station and near everything within walking distance. I loved that the hotel was pet friendly without extra charge.

The bed could have been comfier, but honestly I got what I paid for. I don't like the whole charade of leaving the key at reception every time but that's standard at most hotels around here that I've noticed.

Close to the main train station, also not far from city centre. Big bathroom. Quite clean. Easy check in and check out. Fast wi-fi. Not stop shop right next to the hotel

The windows do not open to get some fresh air.

Excellent location, the hotel meets the standards for facilities with two stars. The room was clean, I was on the 6th floor with a large terrace and a nice view of one part of the city.

Needed to be near the train station and couldn't have been better. Fantastic staff, clean, comfy room. Would have liked a glass or cup and bed was a bit hard but otherwise excellent.

This is my third time staying at Hotel Rex. I love the place, it's clean, comfortable, the staff is friendly and helpful. I was super late on check-in, and arrived at 4 AM - none the less the receptionist was there, kind and ready to check us in quickly so we could have at least a couple of hours of sleep :-D The location of the hotel is excellent. I keep coming back every time I come to Thessaloniki and will definitely stay here again.
