Nice staff, good location, good parking facilities

Breakfast was ok, but the morning cofee should be improved. Very bad and low quality pillows

The hotel is really nice, well maintained. The room was clean and spacious. Great breakfast and nice atmosphere overall.

They charge extra for any coffee (cappuccino, espresso etc.) other than black or greek coffee at breakfast, which is kind of sad for a 5 star hotel. Other than that, everything was great, I would definitely return.

The gym need urgently renovation! It is in a state of 1* hotel.

Swimming pool area is very basic. They need to renovate. Gym is totally wrong. Must be immediately renovated. Elevators need different software and perhaps mechanism. They don’t operate properly . The central HVAC fan system of this hotel is located on the ground, the sound of the fans create a disturbing nose to all the corner rooms, I had 729, all this line of rooms, you have a sound as if you are placed at the bottom of a cruise ship. Lastly staff. Some of the concierge staff is rude, seems they are there many years and forgot the fact they work at a 5 star hotel. If the GM needs more details he can communicate either me to give him more details.

Hotel Location was excellent; breakfast was fabulous. We were blown away with the excellent breakfast. The food service staff all worked extremely hard, providing excellent customer care, and service. The front desk staff were very helpful explaining directions, and providing options to make decisions for an efficient visit (our first visit to Greece). We were overwhelmed, and very happy with our visit to Greece - and staying at the Makedonia Palace was fantastic. Thank you !!

The staff were absolutely wonderful – friendly, professional and always ready to help. Everything was spotlessly clean, which made a great first impression. Housekeeping service was excellent throughout the stay – discreet, efficient and truly 5-star. Our room on the 8th floor offered a surprisingly stunning city view – it truly exceeded expectations. The food and wine were fantastic, full of flavor and beautifully served. I also appreciated how well air-conditioned the rooms and all common areas were – it made the stay really comfortable, especially in the summer heat. There’s also a small but well-equipped gym, which was a nice bonus for a quick workout.

There honestly wasn’t much to complain about. The only small downside was during breakfast – while the selection was generous and everything tasted amazing, there was no self-service coffee machine available. Coffee had to be ordered, and any type other than traditional Greek coffee came with an extra charge, which felt a bit unexpected at a hotel of this level.

Another excellent stay. Fantastic location, with the pedestrian street just in front of the hotel. The room with sea view and balcony (in the higher floors is great). The room is excellent, spacious, big double bed and nice bathroom. Breakfast is amazing with variety of savory and sweets. The restaurant is also very good with the open terrace.

The price was rather expensive but I booked late and there was also a conference taking place in the hotel. I had to move room because of the conference and the room in the first floor does not have the same good view to the sea and also the room was a bit older.

The hotel is in an amazing location, right at the sea. It is perfect for long walks along the waterfront, as well as a short stroll to the city center. We recommend you take at least one coffee break in the hotel’s bar and restaurant, which offers excellent coffee, cakes, and beautiful views onto the bay. If you arrive by car: The hotel has free-of-charge outside parking, as well as in its own garage (at a fee). This is truly convenient in a city where parking is difficult and scarce.

For a hotel of this category, espresso coffee and eggs/omlettes made-to-order should be part of the standard breakfast offer, not offered at an additional charge. Also, cleanliness of the room is not at the standard it should be. For example, the shelves in the cupboards where not dusted at all. If you don’t clean them yourself, you would put you clean clothes on dirty shelves.

The location was great, close to the city and direct access to the boardwalk. The room was very comfortable with a great sea view. The room service was excellent. The breakfast had a very large selection of food for everyone to enjoy. The swimming pool was nice as well.

The only down side with our room was that AC and ventillation in general. The bathroom was often foggy after a shower and the ventillation wasn't enough. The AC was a bit tricky to setup. This was a minor inconvenience and probably due to the building being quite old.
