The location was good as it was close to the boats that take you to the villages. I booked the suite plus which was huge and beautifully decorated and had a well stocked fridge. It cost US135 per night which I felt was expensive for a hostel. I was put on the bottom floor the first night which I was very disappointed in because of the the brick wall view when you open the curtains. I was able to move to the second floor suite the second night and it had a view of the volcano and lake from the distance. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I was booked into the ground floor which had a view of construction and a wall which meant I couldn't open the curtains. The suites are nearest to the main road so it was loud. There was no prober AC, only an air cooler which was too small to cool the huge room. The food in the restaurant was expensive and not decorated very nicely. The tours from the hostel were very expensive so better to book at outside agencies.

Great location, room was comfortable. Front desk was nice and very helpful with planning excursions. Pool area was nice and always full of people. Nice common area with pool table and games. Full kitchen available for use. Free water fill up stations.

Lake view and yoga area is not right on the property, you have to walk down the street to a small alleyway to get to it and it is only open after 5pm. I wish it would’ve been open to use that area all day as we would’ve loved to sit and relax near the lake.

Very stylish! The pool is beautiful and there are many things the place offers for travelers to do. Location was just a short walk to the main strip, Santander street.

While the bed was super comfy and the room was big, the room (standard w/ private bathroom) does creek often and it also knocks loudly so if you are a light sleeper it can be an issue. Also, it is near a fairly busy street so you will hear vehicles. To top it off there was a pack of dogs barking loudly that woke me up 2 times. I love the place and I was able to still get the best sleep during my trip to Guatemla but the noise factor might not be for everybody.

Great atmosphere and vibe at Selina! Lovely area by the pool and restaurant with lots of great seating spots, there are some residents dogs that are super friendly!! The bedroom was spacious really comfortable, and had a great design. It's in a perfect location, really close to the ferry boats to Lake Atitlan and local shops / cafes. Great events, including sunset Yoga looking over the lake.

The bathroom regularly smelt of drains even after the cleaner had come. The doors being slide doors meant that there were small gaps for noise and mosquitos to get in. Every night we had to check for mosquitos to make sure we weren't going to get bitten in the night.

Great location, great beach bar 5 minute walk away (it is part of the property, the new years eve party was really good, including nice dinner and fireworks), very nice clean and big rooms and great community areas, good breakfast, very friendly local staff

Hairdryer has to be borrowed from front desk, water shower was cold twice. Very frustrating: We booked the Indian nose sunrise hike and waited ready at 3 am to get picked up - they forgot us even though it was paid already. We received the money back and a free breakfast. I hope this was a one time mistake. However, I would come again.

Spacious and tidy room with enough facilities. Room has (slightly damaged) screens against bugs. Good location, both main street and ferries are around the corner. Also nearby supermarket.

Compared to other accommodations in both Panajachel and Guatemala, this was quite expensive for what you're getting. Swimming pool does not look clean and limited availability of loungers. Shower was a bit moldy and the temperature was not steady. Lastly, our room was next to a very load road so certainly bring your ear plugs because the noise starts around 4AM.

Really nice hotel, we had a double room. First room in Guatemala that was actually fully dark and we could finally rest comfortably on the afternoon. Well and beautifully designed, large room and comfortable bed! The common kitchen is a great addition, lots of comfortable communal spaces and workspace. The pool is nice but didn’t seem very clean so we skipped it. There are nice events and a beach bar few minutes walk, the center is close too. We loved it.

The bathroom had hair on the floor.

Good hostel with nice facilities. It is very big so doesn’t really have much of a personal feeling but it’s no problem. Good bar and food and Wi-Fi was good also. The best thing is that they allow street dogs to come into the property and rest for as long as they need to. They are all so friendly and it is great that they have a safe space that the staff let them come to without getting any hassle on the streets

It would be good if they put down some water and biscuits for the street dogs. I know it might attract many more but I don’t see that being a problem. They need water and food. It’s not too much to provide.

-I stayed in a small shared room (4 beds) and it was extremely spacious, like, the nicest shared dorm room I've stayed in perhaps ever. The room also had character and a lot of lighting options; it felt like a historic building that had been turned into a hostel. -All of the spaces, including the bed and room, felt very clean. -The shower had great hot water, and they provide soap, shampoo, conditioner. -Luggage room to store my things before check-in time. -Kind folks working at the restaurant.

-The music they were playing in the main area of the hostel when I first arrived, around 1230pm, was overpowering.

The location is good. Walking distance from the lake and boats to the other villages, and close to the main street and the many restaurants and stalls. The large room is nice, with a screen and projector instead of a television, a well-equipped mini bar including popcorn and a microwave. Good breakfast to choose from.

It didn't feel like a hotel but more like a youth hostel. We took the large double room, but the shower and toilet area was very small and cramped compared to the room size. The water in the pool is green and uninviting. On the first day they forgot to clean our room. The staff did not communicate with us throughout the whole stay. It's more of a place for backpackers and less for couples.
