Our 1st time staying at a boat hotel, and it was an overall good experience! We stayed for 2 nights. Great AC, perfect for the summer! Great water pressure, not expecting this from a boat hotel. Very friendly and hospitable staff. 24/7 reception is convenient. Breakfast is good. Our room is clean and spacious enough, has TV, fridge and wardrobe closet with some hangers. It has a great view of the Parliament building, Margaret Bridge and Danube River. We liked going on the deck for a panoramic view whether day or night.

Being next to roads, traffic might be loud. This didn’t bother us though, nothing a good pair of earplugs can fix. Beds are hard and pillows are thin but not a deal breaker for us, but might be the case for others. You get what you pay for. Duvets are comfortable enough though.

The Location, the view from the boat was amazing. It's just on the Danube, so you hear the river flowing by, get to see the beautiful Hungarian Parliament. The public transports of trams/buses/trains are close, maybe 10 mins walk only. The room was very clean. Daily room cleaning service was also provided. We visited when the weather was cold, however, the room was well insulated and warm enough for stay.

The boat is old, and so are the electronics in there. It would be wise to update the tv with latest one. The English language channels were missing. Wish there was Netflix too ;) The walls are thin, so you might hear sound from neighbors. We stayed for 3 days. And the breakfast was the same for all the three. I wish there was some variation.

Such a unique experience! Beautiful view of the castle - upgrading to a river view room is definitely worth it. Very good breakfast, although not many vegan options if you need them. The staff are very helpful and nice too.

Nothing to complain about just room for improvement - If you have any accessibility issues I would recommend the ground floor as the stairs up to the upper level are very steep. Having access to the hot water boiler during the day and evening would be great so you can make a cup of tea and watch the water.

The location was great...close to everything buses, trams, trains...the view was Amazing...could see the Government building from the boat and at night the whole waterfront was beautiful...have wonderful 'green spaces' especially a large park over the bridge. The staff were helpful and friendly. Many Cafes within walking distance. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. It is an older boat in need of some Maintenance upkeep in places but Cleanliness was good. It was good value for money if you're traveling on a budget.

The boat did seem a little understaffed at times, there were no chairs on the upstairs outside decking as advertised or lounge room available as advertised...you can see the room is there but maybe only utilized by staff...when we asked we were told there wasn't the staff to look after those areas any more which we felt was a little sad as would have made a nice addition to the experience...we stayed 3 nights.

Loved the feeling of staying in a boat . Booked a room with a riverside view. After a day out we could chill outside and watch the other boats go by. One is not able to purchase anything on the boat but we brought something to drink from a supermarket. We found the location to be great being close by to public transport. The breakfast buffet was also good. It was a "good value for money stay".

I guess I didn't expect the bathroom to be a "wetroom" ie open shower that would wet the whole area.Tye rooms are small.

We had a great 3 night stay at Grand Jules. The hotel is well located, just 5 minutes walk from the nearest tram stop and 10 minutes from the Metro, both of which will take you towards all the important places! The view across the river of the Parliament building is spectacular, and worth choosing this hotel for alone. Rooms are comfortable and clean, with a special mention to the extremely helpful and friendly Dominik on reception.

Breakfast was great, a lot of food and if something is missing they fill it up again. View was very good, you can see parlament from window. Room is a bit small so better come with 1 medium size suitcase per person. The staff is very nice and welcomes you every time, when you ask them something they explain calmly. We were staying over christmas time and there was planty of free parking in front of hotel. Overall great experience!

Only thing we didnt like is that you can hear people from other room, but it was expected and we knew it because there are no concrete walls on boats, not a problem.

We were looking for accommodation that was a little different from the ordinary. This Boat Hotel was terrific. River view across river to Parliament House was brilliant. Could lie in bed and admire it. Breakfast was traditional continental and plentiful. Gabor ( waiter) was delightful. Very close to train and multiple trams ( including the no 4 and 6).

Room was a little hot. Temperature is centrally controlled, so couldn’t use aircon ( they’d switched on heating for winter). We got comfortable by turning off the heating and slept with open window. Would have been nice to have chairs on top deck for outside viewing and relaxing.

Perfect location at a good price. We bought a hop on Hop of ticket & the bus stop is just across the road (just before the bridge) Rooms are small but cosy & fridge works like a dream. Breakfast is amazing & the breakfast person organising it all was just on top of it all! Highly recommend 💞

The boat is located in an excellent spot; everything is accessible on foot or by public transport, and it is very well connected to tourist attractions. The staff is always present and approachable; they recommended good Hungarian restaurants to us. The room was tidy and clean. The shower is limited in size but functional for a few nights' stay. Breakfast on the deck with a view of the Parliament was excellent. The selection included pastries, salami, cheese, fruit, eggs, sausages, cereals... Good coffee and tea are also available. Lovely ambiance.
