I loved everything about this cottage style house. Our apartment was on the ground floor. The living room, kitchen and 2 bedrooms were reasonably spacious, nicely decorated, very clean and very cozy. Our friends stayed upstairs in another lovely apartment. Seyðisfjörður, is a lovely small town, in a valley, surrounded by beautiful mountains. The locals are all very friendly and we enjoyed lovely food in the nearby Aldan bar/restaurant. We stayed for the Sluice 2025 art event, but it would also make a great base for driving around and seeing all the other sights. If I am ever travelling in this region again, I would hope to stay in this cottage.

My stay was too short, I wish I had stayed longer

Super cool, large, quiet, stylish apartment on the entire second floor of a historic school within walking distance of everything in town and w/ fine views in all directions (the water, mountains, and waterfalls). We especially enjoyed the living room and wished we could have lingered in such a relaxing apartment and such a gorgeous little town. Staff were very hospitable too and the breakfast buffet at the reception building was easily the best breakfast of our trip (and included a view out over the water).

Bathroom was small (to be expected). On the 2nd floor the bedrooms both had sloped ceilings so were not ideal for tall people. Also the drive over the mountain pass in the fog was not for the faint-hearted.

The apartment was very spacious and homey. With four people we felt super comfortable and had lots of space especially enjoying the living room area. The bathroom even had a washer and dryer which was very helpful too. The interior was cozy and the apartment had nice views to the fjord including seals. Everything is walkable since it’s a small town.

You could hear the neighbors that were living downstairs a little through the walls. I can imagine they also heard us and our steps.

The apartment had everything that you need to cook a meal, very comfortable for a family group. Bedding was comfortable, lots of space in the larger bedroom and living room. Pull out sofas for 2 more people. Parking for 1 car. Great location.

The second bedroom was very tiny, and had narrow beds. This room was more for child/teen sized people.

This apartment was super clean and cozy. Kitchen was fully equipped. The bed was soft and comfortable. Overall, We felt like home staying there. Despite all that, my family and I cannot thank the host more for extending her help when our car went off road in the mountain. We are very grateful for her kindness. Thank you so much! Definitely two thumbs up for this apartment. Highly recommended!

Very warm, clean and comfortable. Great to having washing machine and dryer. Handy location as in middle of the village.

Needs better sound proofing, can hear everything in the apartment above which isn't great when they are up way earlier than you! Single beds were very narrow and son (who is 20) said they were rather too firm.

The location was lovely - very gorgeous wee town, and a spectacular drive into the valley. The area around the apartment felt very safe, and, had it not been pouring with rain, would have been lovely to walk around. The old school house was beautifully appointed, super clean, and was a really good size. We appreciated the washing machine. The reception area was in the nearby bar/restaurant which we didn't eat at, but it looked really nice.

There was another apartment upstairs so you could hear footsteps as the people moved around.

The home was beautifully renovated, very clean and comfortable beds. We loved having a washer and dryer in the downstairs unit. There were soaps, shampoos, hair dryer, coffee pot and coffee grounds. Kitchen was well equipped. Noticed a baby high chair in a closet if needed. The location was easily accessible and short walk into town. Breakfast available at nearby property but Not included in price. There are a couple gift shops and restaurants in the main road.

It had a couple run down places next door but we didn’t feel unsafe.

Lovely stay in cute, quiet house that's split into a private top and bottom level (we had the top, there is a set of fairly steep stairs to get there). Our group of four loved how spacious it was! Room 1 had a double bed, room 2 had two twins, and there is a pull out couch in the living room with extra blankets. The kitchen is big (compared to our other stays) and fully stocked with a plates/bowels, pots/pans, utensils, microwave, oven, and coffee maker. The town is very small so no matter where you are, everything is essentially walkable.

Breakfast is offered at The Filling Station for an extra charge. This place has great reviews for their sit down menu options, but when we were there (early May), it was only offered as buffet style with basic breads, meats, cheese, and fruits. While it looked fine, we felt it wasn't worth it for the price (2800 ISK per person).

Really beautiful and spacious apartment. Has dishwasher, washing machine and dryer that looks new. Good wifi speed. Parking right in front of the house.

No microwave. We had a power outage in the morning, asked landlord via booking and text but didnt get a response.
