First. I booked very late because of a snowstorm in the north but that was no problem. Everything went fine - check in with codes and keys perfect. I loved this 4-persons-room and the restrooms were really tidy and modern standard. The kitchen offers everything to prepare a good breakfast if you have toast cereals tea bags and anything with you.

Some people start early in the morning and with snow and ice you have to clean your car. To be awakenend by this sound is a little bit scary. But I laughed about it and I hope you do as well. Things that happen in wintertime

Our stay was really pleasant! Everything was just as described. The room was spacious and comfortable, and even though the bathroom and shower facilities were shared, everything was spotless. It was clear that cleanliness is a high priority here. The other guests were respectful, which made the shared setup work very well. A big plus was the ability to cook our own meals and have breakfast on-site — very convenient. Also, the showers and toilets were always available when needed; we never had to wait. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this place!

The only small downsides were the location near a main road — even though it's a quiet town, there were occasional trucks passing by, which could be a bit noisy at night. Also, our windows faced the parking lot, so we sometimes heard guests coming and going with their luggage.

Egilsstaðir is a funny town - like a stagecoach stopover that got out of hand. The guesthouse is well-designed and comfortable enough. On the way out to the ferry port there is a large pizzeria and taproom, built around a brewery that also lends itself to other locals to make home brewed beers on a commercial scale.

One or two bathrooms were out of commission so the shared facilities were stretched in the morning. With the cafe at the fuel station across the road closed, the nearest breakfast option was the supermarket down the way, which did not open till 09:00.

Shared kitchen facilities were excellent. Plenty of space in the fridge, with a glass door to easily find your stuff. Nice eating area. Friendly staff. Good location for exploring the area. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Beds were comfortable, the curtains kept out the sunlight and we therefore slept quite well.

Showers need better exhaust fans to remove steam. Someone triggered the fire alarm because they left the door open after showering. Only one small window for fresh air in our room.

Wonderful kitchen facilities for cooking a meal. There were two ovens and sinks so multiple groups could cook at a time, and plenty of kitchen supplies - pots, pans, baking trays, knives, cutting boards, etc. Modern rooms with comfortable beds. We didn't know what to expect here and were pleasantly surprised with the quality!

It was a little noisy with the other guests and occasionally hard to get into one of the shared bathrooms. They were in the process of adding 2 more shared bathrooms on the lower floor when we were there, and that will be a great improvement!

Easy check in and instructions. We arrived after hours, so did not get a chance to meet any of the staff. Building was clean and looked fairly renovated. Plenty of parking, and plenty of kitchen supplies so we could cook our own meals. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

One of the WCs seemed a little small, but it was still manageable. The room was a little warm when we first arrived, but after opening the window, it quickly cooled off.

The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The radiator was strong and good to heat us up! There was a toilet and shower / toilet near our room and both were free a lot of the time so that was great. The guesthouse provided clean towels to put on the floor after you exit the shower, which was nice and the bathrooms I used were all really clean.

The kitchen was small for the amount of rooms and when we were there there were people cooking all the time so we just used the microwave to make an easy meal instead of cooking.

Cozy accommodation,our room was a bit small but enough for two people,clean and warm.the guesthouse provides a big kitchen,well equipped with all the amenities you will need. It is located at an excellent area,at the heart of the city center,near the shops and the supermarkets.

Our room didn’t have enough sockets and the two existing ones were too far from our beds. The toilets were clean but the bathrooms had a weird smell because of the lack of ventilation. One more problem with the showers was that they were flooding with water quite immediately,as the sewers seemed clogged up.

Rooms presented well, good location, easy check-in, comfy beds, kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans/plates/utensils

I could not figure out how to operate the stovetop in the kitchen, couldn't figure out how to control room temp, bathrooms were always occupied at peak times, loud guests during our stay. Also, not guesthouse's issue but local stores close earlier than other towns so be aware and make plans accordingly.
