The room was spacious and comfortable. We did find dust fluff which we were told was from the airconditioner. Management must take note of this and have the filters cleaned more regularly. The bedding, linen, towels etc were great. The bathroom was clean and comfortable.

The hotel being so close to the airport charges for pick up and dropff. This should be a free service. Also management must respond timeously to requests. The Uber service for a large car with airconditioner was 25% of what the hotel wanted to charge. This leaves a bitter taste for guests. Getting a cab that charged a fair rate even for short trips was a challenge. When the cab is called by hotel staff they quote 3 times higher than the Uber rate. I advise guests to use Uber to avoid being ripped off.

Airport pickup was great, driver used a readable sign which is important if you know the chaotic arrival situation at BOM Intl. and parking was very near to exit. Reception team was very helpful and skilled ( Invoicing and money exchange).

Breakfast area was only 50% occupied but it was hard to find a place as waiters did not remove used dishes from tables despite standing around and waiting to assist with coffee or tea. I had that all 5 days I have stayed in the hotel in October.

I forgot my clothes in the cupboard & got in touch with Mr Sandeep ( duty manager ) of Lalit so that he could send his people to collect and keep it @ lost and found desk. Initially he did Co operate but after a day he and his team stopped receiving my calls and the hotel people claimed that there was nothing in my room . LYING TO CUSTOMERS & STEALING YOUR STUFF . This came as a shock to me and my wife , hence won’t be using their service in the future .

Everything about this hotel is exceptional. The reception counter staff are amazing. We had some serious family emergency and the gentleman on duty at the reception was extremely caring and helpful. I didn't notice his name, in my distraught condition. But he was just so helpful, I can never forget. Thank you so much. Every staff, service, restaurants, food, the room, the facilities are superly exceptional. We had a fantastic impression of the hotel and would definitely stay again when we are in Mumbai next. Must also mention: the bed and the pillows are just amazingly comfortable. I would love to know what brand the soft pillows are.

The swimming pool closes too early.May be can extend that time to later in the evening, allowing guests to cool down after the day.

The lobby was a nice area. The breakfast, dinner, lunch room was spacious. The lounge on the 6th floor was well maintained

The lounge on the 6th floor does not have much to envy as there's not enough turn over and food during breakfast does not look fresh. We went for tea as well and the service was not great neither the choices despite the fact that they went away to make fresh brown bread sandwiches. That place is not warm or welcoming but very nice idea of the private breakfast area. Allow more people in. Pool area was not great. Tables were dusty and no-one to take care of the towels.

In Mumbai small and plush is the normal for hotels. Pack in as many things in a room that’s small so that you bang into stuff. Not so with Lalit Mumbai. Expansive rooms, the atrium is amazing and the old world attention to detail. The staff also knows when to leave you alone and when to engage. Such a blessing when working

They can try to push for more sustainable features. Such as 6 bottles of single use plastic type for overnight hydration in the room can be replaced with 2-3 glass ones- in house bottling plant may be a long term ask. Get a water filling station at the floor corners. Almost every hotel chain has moved to large dispensers for soap. These are now expected.

As a regular guest at this hotel Lalit for number of years, we were happy to visit again. We found the place is well maintained in all manners.Although nearly 50 years old ,we must say it's very well built. Refurbishment may loose it's charm, although upgrading the sanitary ware I e taps and showers and wash basin would definitely upgrade the Charm, considering the time since it was last upgraded. Chek in staff where good,doing their work. In restaurant spread was well as expected. People we found quite helpful where Anil Kumar (I called him Dr Anil Kumar), since he helped us by giving some spices and how to take it as medicine ,helped us to relive from sickness which we were suffering from. Harsall was a good person and helpful in the dining area. Thank you all all Lalit.

I had booked a room at Lalit for my aunt (who is up in age (around 84yrs), for her stay in Transit. I had informed the Hotel in advance of any potential delay in her arrival and if they could extend her checkout by 1hr or so.. As suspected, she checkedin the following morning at 7am! The Gentleman who checked her into The Lalit, (i believe his name is Aniket), not only accomodate her request for late checkout, but also offered complimentary Taxi back to Airport. It is such warm hospitality and level of care taking..is what differentiates a well deserving 5 star Hotels from the rest. Thank you and your staff..as their willingness to " Go Beyond"..is what will be remembered by satisfied clients and keep them Returning...

Very conveniently located near the airport, so no fear of missing the flight due to the traffic congestion. Easy to get around using the taxi

One thing I noticed strikingly about the work attitude of the staff. Leftover food plates and trays are seen outside the room always, not cleared. Looks very ugly. Nearly 100 observations during our stay. When brought to the attention, staff justifies it was not their job, everyone pointing fingers to the other shading away from the responsibility.

The location of the Lalit Hotel is very close to the airport and it's very central in Mumbai. I traveled to Mumbai for personal work and visited various places in Mumbai from Colaba, Mulund, and BKC. This place was central to them. The hotel has a good spread of breakfast. Test of all the Cuisine was having the authentic test, I can say that for Misal, Humas, and pitta bread. The room was spacious with an airport view.

I know this is old property but upkeep is good, you can still see the aging in some places. For example, hand shower in my room was having some issues. Staffed fixed quickly so no complaint at all. This point applies to all the hotels in this area and is not the fault of the hotel. The approach road is small and always has high traffic. Take the faster airport road.
