I really enjoyed my stay at Shankara Parada. We stayed at the Ocean view villa on the top and the views are stunning. While sunrise is somewhat blocked it is still beautiful. The room was spacious, the king bed very comfortable, and everything was clean and well-kept bar the bathtub… don’t think you can take a bath as something burnt it but it’s a small sacrifice and I wasn’t bothered. The location is perfect—so accessible to the beach for swimming and snorkelling, with a few good restaurants just a short 5-minute walk away. I had just had an accident and couldn’t swim, but even then, I truly enjoyed my time here thanks to the beautiful views and the comfort of the stay. I actually quite liked the simple breakfast—it was perfectly adequate without excess or waste, which felt thoughtful. Yes, there are stairs, but staff are more than happy to help carry bags, and it adds to the charm of the place. That said, if you’re not good with stairs, this property may not suit you—and honestly, I found the Amed area in general has a lot of stairs everywhere. I wish to come again and stay if I can get the same room.

Adorable little villa with the best view in town. Very clean, very quiet, very comfortable. Friendly staff. The landscaping and vegetation around the property is just gorgeous, so many fragrant frangipanis. The view is to die for, and it's a very short walk from the nicest beach in Amed (Lipah Beach) where you can snorkel with colorful fish and big turtles, and it's also a short walking distance from some of the best restaurants in town.

The toilet and bathtub could have been cleaner. Not sure if they are stained or unclean, since the water here is heavy with sediment, but anyhow I prefer a spotless toilet bowl and bathtub. If the bathtub was spotless, I would've loved taking a long hot bath.

The location was a pleasant surprise, the beach was just down from the hotel. We could easily walk down the steps to the coral in a main snorkel site. If you don’t have a scooter, this accommodation is excellent for being able to access some great marine life / snorkel with a quick and easy walk to the beach. The hotel pool was fantastic and so warm, it was like being in a bathtub with an excellent view of both the sunset and mount Agung. The breakfast area had an amazing outlook Lipah Beach and we could see fish jumping out of the ocean and research the days water weather conditions for snorkeling. We even saw a turtle from breakfast. Incredible! We hired a scooter from the hotel, which was very convenient. The breakfast was as good. No lunch or dinner on site, but the restaurants and cafes were an easy walk into Lipah Beach town area.

The sea view villa was exactly that with amazing views along the coast and Mt Agung when she showed herself. Beds were comfortable, had a large 19 litre bottle of water, and kettle, spacious and very private. Staff were charming and helpful. 200 metres from snorkeling off the coral reef which is amazing, several excellent warungs close to hand for meals.

Its quite steep around this part of Lipah beach and a number to steps up to our room which was a bit of an effort for me being 70+, but worth the climb. Shame the restaurant wasn’t open.

Great view! • Big clean rooms, comfy bed, AC, mini fridge, mosquito net, cool shower standing on flat rocks • Pool with sea view • Great breakfast ! • Located just a few minutes by foot to Lipah Beach. Great place for snorkeling! • Laundry the night before departure, very nice! • “Warung Asri” just a few minutes by foot. Good food and amazing view looking directly over the sea. • Although you need a driver, you can easily find one once in Amed to help you get around. We met ours on the beach. He ended up not only driving us from Amed to Lipah but also our driver 2 days later to Sidemen.

• You mostly need scooter to get around. There’s no Gojek or Grab taxi. The Villa can also arrange taxi or driver for you BUT you’re dependent on their availability. They charge 250 000 IDR for round trip (drop off / pick up) in Amed.

Beautiful villa with fantastic view over the beach and the sea. Room was clean and large. Good bathroom. Very comfortable veranda overlooking large grassed terrace with water views. We will definitely come back. Little cat was coming every morning asking for some treats which made the place very homely. Staff was very nice. Basic but nice breakfast.

Reception desk very often unattended. Very steep steps , but I guess if you want to have the views... Not suitable for older people or with mobility issues.

We stayed in a two-bedroom villa, and it was so clean, spacious and cozy. The ocean view from the terrace is so awesome. I was going to go to the hotel across the street and finally chose here, and it was such a great choice. The pool, room facilities, atmosphere, everything is better than there. It's very close to the ocean and there are many restaurants around.

One disadvantage is that the lighting in the living room is too dark in the evening. I really want to improve this.

The view from #5 was spectacular! Gorgeous view of the whole bay and a bit of a view of Mt Agung. For New Year’s Eve the fireworks displays were breathtaking! This property is right across the street from the most fabulous coral reef garden that I’ve seen in all of my travels! The ability to walk off of the beach to some of the world’s best snorkelling was priceless! We enjoyed the view from the infinity pool area and appreciated that we could swim anytime of the day (even at night). The bed was very comfortable. The shower was really special - it is hard to describe, but the part of the bathroom with the shower has no ceiling over it so it feels like you’re outdoors when you aren’t. It’s very decadent. Breakfast was delicious. I also loved that the hotel arranged airport transfers for us.

There were steep stairs up to the room - it was good for us to get the exercise and worth the climb for the view. We loved that the staff carried our luggage for us.

Stunning views from our bungalow! Very private, with our own grassed front courtyard. The staff were very helpful with hiring a scooter for our stay. The room was very clean and spacious, and the beds comfortable. Very close to Lipah Beach so easy to walk to.

Not so much a dislike, just a point. The bathroom is an outdoor bathroom, so there were a lot of mosquitoes in there. We needed to make sure we kept the bathroom door closed so we didn’t have a room full of them.

Beautiful location and villas. Absolutely stunning, and the best views in Amed. The staff were incredibly helpful, polite, and friendly. The bed was massive and very comfortable. The wifi was great, even in the room - I was able to study without issue.
