The hotel facilities are beautiful and views outstanding. Staff so friendly and helpful and took us by scooter to various snorkeling spots close by. The snorkeling at pelang beach in front of aquaterrace and at lipah bay excellent. An enormous variety of reef fish and lovely coral. One of the staff set my husband up to fish for Mahi Mahi. It was A big and successful day and the restaurant prepared the fish for him for dinner. The restaurant very good, with fabulous ocean views. The infinity pool pristine.

Aquaterrace is well situated at simply the best beach in Amed, Selang Beach. Been coming back here often since 2017. The owner and staff are all attentive and friendly. They ensure that all requests are met with high standard. Plus, it's always nice to waking up, sleeping, and snoozing accompanied by the sound of the sea and having breakfast while watching the boats get busy in the morning loading passengers or unloading the catch of the day.

Nothing from Aquaterrace -- but I found the light from the next villa (Ayunan) is too bright at night. If there is something can be done about it, that would be great, because light pollution is a threat to coral reproduction which usually relies on the moonlight and cycle.

The view is amazing. Balcony is large and contained a day bed, spending time on it was pleasure. We had breakfast every day, enjoying the view and watching the fishing boats coming back to shore. Great snorkeling right below us. Snorkeling equipment can be hired from reception. Yes it involves climbing stairs as soon as you exit your room, but it was a welcoming exercise for us. There’s a restaurant that cooks your meals and it’s part of the premise. All meals can be delivered direct to you, however it’s about 100m up the road if you want to visit in person. Staff were great and rooms very clean.

Wasn’t problem for us, but if you have trouble climbing stairs, you might have to struggle a little. There’s no tv reception anywhere in Amed, hence no TV’s. Make sure you pack a book.

EVERYTHING! The view is incredible, the pool is perfect. We loved the sunbed/day bed area. Every member of staff was friendly, helpful, kind and they work really hard to make this such a special place. I have travelled to over 60 countries and this is my favourite place ever. My young children were treated so kindly by the staff. The area smells amazing, rooms are clean, lovely little personal touches. I loved that we could have our food served on our balcony and even in the pool. The float up breakfast and the pool were my children's best parts of Bali! The staff helped us to book taxis and hired us snorkelling gear. The food was also delicious. Thank you Aqua Terrace. I usually never return to a country once I have visited it but I will definitely come back here!

We fell in love with this place. What a slice of paradise! Incredible ocean views, the sweetest and most accomodating staff and an incredible price. Amed is amazing and this was the best place to enjoy it. Easy walking to the beach and so incredibly peaceful just enjoying the water and lots of pool swims. Idyllic. Already dreaming about returning. Sending a WhatsApp message for breakfast each day was so fun. The staff organised things like fishing and snorkelling gear. And the massage w ocean views was bliss. We really really loved this place! What a gem

Nothing. For a three star place it’s a five star experience. Yes the buildings are older but it’s so clean and just so pretty. They are renovating some of it later in the year.

This was our second time staying here, and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. They do a delicious substantial breakfast with good quality ingredients, esp the house made bread from Gusto restaurant with real butter. I also love the quality bathroom products which are made in Bali. We have stayed beach side and hill side in the past and prefer hill side for the open sea view and sunrise view over Lombok. With only a small number of rooms, it feels very private and quiet. The staff are friendly, rooms are spotless, there are daybeds inside and outside the room, and by the pool. It's good to have a scooter to get around but there are a few good eating places within walking distance, including the inhouse Japanese restaurant. Fantastic value and we'll be back again.

Stunning water views from the room and veranda. I loved the bathroom and made use of the gorgeous bath & shower. I appreciated having ample towels & found the bed and pillows most comfortable. Outside I appreciated shaded pool lounges where I read and ate breakfast & lunch. It’s easy to order meals and my friends & I were most impressed by the quality. Delicious! Despite being quite remote, there’s no shortage of fab restaurants about - including one across the road. Snorkling off the beach was terrific & I also enjoyed cooling off in the pool. I left behind a personal item on roadside on departure day. Staff facilitated getting it back to me (hours away) which I really appreciated!

I was happy with everything

location was fantastic, the views from the room and the pool are postcard material, (or influencer if that's your ilk) and the pictures from the website are true to what you experience. Nothing was too much trouble for staff, a "quick coffee" or even a full meal delivered to our room if you felt like dining on your own balcony. A selection of eating houses within walking distance and a mini mart about 150 meters away. The staff make it easy to arrange activities if you choose, (we chose to crash and relax) and the snorkelling and swimming off the beach is so much fun.

Guess it's something we are not used to but pets around were annoying, barking every time you walked past and sitting on pool lounges made me feel a bit uncomfortable.

This is a beautiful, comfortable, cared-for place. The room was as delicious as the views. It was hard to pull myself away from my balcony daybed, but a swim in the gorgeous pool was worth it. I highly recommend the rose facial at the day spa (or any treatment, really!) - perfection. I also really enjoyed my tonkatsu dish on my first night's stay. The other night I wandered down the road to the Green Melon waryung and couldn't get enough of the pork ribs and satay rolls. So good! Don't miss a trip to Aquaterrace.

Very friendly and helpful staff, great food from the hotel cafe, great location next to a lovely beach. Simple but nicely styled and very clean room. They also supply nice botanical bathroom products, body cream, shampoo, conditioner, body wash. You can snorkel off the beach and see lots of tropical fish. This is the spot if you want a relaxing holiday. We had one day where some rubbish was washed in but was cleaned up very quickly, we were there just after monsoon season.. Will be returning next time I am in Bali.

Car transport booked via the hotel to get around locally was expensive compared to what you would pay in Seminyak/Changu area. 100k one way between the hotel and Jemeluk Beach or other areas around there.. As Amed is a series of villages and beaches and there are lots of hills you need your own transport or take a scooter or car to get around if you want to leave the area of the hotel. If you are happy to stay around the hotel, it is lovely, so that wouldn't be an issue. We will probably rent a scooter next time we are in the area.
