The houses are all located with a fantastic view over the trees and to the sea. It is very quiet, and with only 8 houses it is very relaxing. The live music is great, with a very nice restaurant area around the mango tree. Great artwall in the area. Very good internet too. Lovely big infinity pool with stunning view

The place is a bit remote, but that is in all hotels on the westside of the hotel. If you have a driver, keep using him to get around.

I’m so glad I stayed here! Batan Sabo & Co is a chill place to unwind and be away from the busy Bali vibe. The room is clean and comfortable. There is no TV but the WiFi works well enough to watch movies from my laptop. The outlets cater for every plug in case you forget converter, so that’s handy. The pool is great and has a lovely view. The breakfast is modest, but for me sufficient (I really liked the omelette) and the juice is great! The staff are really lovely and always have a smile on their face. They helped me find a scooter driver (Ketut - very good driver, fast but safe). Actually, all their drivers (Batu and Asta) are nice and friendly and help you connect with other drivers in Bali so you don’t have to organise that either! They helped me get in contact with the massage place down the road (Coco Tree Spa - great massage). While it’s far from everything, it’s also a 5 min walk from the picturesque resto, Amarta Penida, which is a great place to eat, drink, and take photos. The guy next door who owns a little convenience store is also helpful and speaks English well. Lastly, the owner plays live music on Friday nights! You’re going to be well looked after here.

The value for money is fantastic and the infinity pool is amazing. The staff is really friendly and it’s a very relaxed quiet vibe. The rooms are quite basic but you don’t need more as most of the time you’re probably not in your room anyway. There is no hairdryer in the room but you can borrow one from reception. There was live music on one evening which was really good. You can also wash your clothes with the hotel for very cheap. There is an amazing little Spa called Coco Tree about a 5 minute walk from the hotel which I can highly recommend. We went twice as it was so good and cheap. You can book taxis with the hotel which aren’t super cheap but taxis in general are more expensive on Nusa Penida compared to Bali. We also booked a private snorkelling trip with the hotel which I can highly recommend.

There could be a few more umbrellas for shade at the pool.

AMAZING stay with Batan Sabo ❤️ The accommodation is owned by five brothers, one who runs the place and has made it into the eco haven it is today. Picturesque grounds, views & cabanas. The view from the infinity pool looks out to the ocean & mountains, making for a beautiful spot. Room was super clean and comfortable. Staff are SO lovely. Not too far from Sanur Port so an ideal spot to base yourself for a stay on Penida Island. The brother that runs the place does his own live music on Saturday nights, he has the voice of an angel! There’s gorgeous art all around the accommodation that he did himself and overall the vibes are just immaculate. Super affordable to top it all off!

Batan Sabo & Co has a easy and friendly vibe. The staff behave like normal people and do not offer a an over the top/awkward guest treatment. Real people. These cottages offer an amazing view and a charming balcony. The restaurant is simple but offers amazing quality and tasteful food. They rented out a scooter to us for a reasonable price which was handled quick and kindly.

Nusa Penida is not the kind of place I would stay longer than a couple of days. The famous beaches are overrun by thousands of greedy tourists and the roads/traffic to get to them is bizarre. Additionally, the first day consisted of a lot of broken room facilities, one of the lights was down, the sink exit was stuck and the closet door came falling off. The very friendly staff fixed it all within a day :). Lastly, be aware of the bathroom, it might not be as luxurious as most western homes.

The room is good and the pool area is very beautiful. It is a small resort, the resort is very quiet. You can have a good and peaceful time. They have limited food options but the taste is good as it is made homestyle. The price is reasonable for the property and is a value for money. They have their own two wheelers also which you can rent. The pool is quite good.

The location of the property is the biggest challenge, its in a very interior location and the roads are really bad which makes the ride difficult, on the top of it there is no light at night-time. The rooms were also insufficiently lit. The staff also access the room in your absence so makes quite uncomfortable, you can request at the reception to not open the room in your absence.

The cottages were so cute, and the view from the pool was absolutely stunning. The staff were very helpful, and arranged drivers and tours for us each day. The breakfasts were delicious, and the communal space was really comfortable and inviting.

The a/c was out in one of our cottages which was not ideal. The location was also a bit difficult, it was down a horrible road with giant potholes, which made scootering too and from anywhere on the island a real adventure. They also rented us some of the worst scooters we used while in Bali, be sure to shop around their supply for well maintained appearing bikes.

This was the best place we have been to in the 3 weeks we were on holiday. The view is just stunning and it is so nice and silent. The pool right in front of the house with the amazing view, just perfect. The breakfast was also nice and the staff was friendly. If you go to Nusa Penida, you have to go here! And I want to mention Udik Noesa, he was our taxi driver when we went to our snorkeling trip. He spoke very good English and was so nice. He has a shop close to Batan Sabo and lives there with his family. Definitely go visit him when you are there too :)

The pool was quite warm.

The Batan Sabo is amazing! Very beautiful and stylish place. Everything new, the view is amazing, the stuff is very kind and helpful. The location is great as well, not so far from the harbor and the main road. The breakfast is fine, we also had one dinner there, it was good.

The only this is that it would be great to have a hanger for clothes as there is only a dresser/nightstand there.

The property was unbelievable! The view from the pool was incredible and the cottage was fantastic! Service and staff were very good and the breakfast included was delicious!

Unfortunately all of the dogs on site even though are so lovely and friendly they make so much noise all through the night. We were only there for 2 nights but both nights the dogs were non stop howling and barking. I had to go out to throw some water at them to stop them but this didn’t work. Such a shame because the rest of it was just perfect!
