The location was a little far from the beach but thanks to that it was very transquil. We could rest comfortably after a long trip. The hotel owner was very friendly; when we arrived there, they offered us a glass of orange juice and carried our luggage to the room. The room was clean, with a view looking to the pool. No insects at all. The hotel located on a road acccesible by car.

For those who enjoy the night activities near the beach. This place is not suitable.

My stay at Surya Maha Bungallo in Nusa Penida was nothing short of amazing! This property is incredibly clean, well-maintained, and conveniently located, making it a great base for exploring the island. However, what really sets this place apart is the hospitality offered by Pak Surya and his wonderful family. They go above and beyond to make guests feel at home. We had an incident where we forgot an item, and they were instrumental in helping us retrieve it without any fuss. I would highly recommend booking a day tour of Nusa Penida through them as well. The entire experience was hassle-free, and we couldn’t have asked for better guides to this beautiful island. Don’t miss out on their arrival and departure pick-up service from the ferry; it’s reliable and makes the logistics a breeze. All in all, Surya Maha Bungallo is a top-notch choice for anyone visiting Nusa Penida. We can’t wait to return!

We loved staying at this place. Wayan welcomed us very kindly and helped us with everything we needed. This made our stay perfect! The rooms and bathroom are very big and equipped with all you need. It was also very clean! The bed is very comfortable and we had a great sleep. We loved the view to the pool that was very clean and nice. The internet connection was very good for especially video calls and netflix. The location is great as it is inbetween the harbor and main westside attractions. Wayan even wrote us a super kind goodbye message. We are looking forward to staying at your place again - thank you :)

We really enjoyed our stay! The pool was great after a day of site seeing. There are scooters for hire on site. Wayan and staff were so helpful. i would really recommend Surya Maha, if you are looking for accomodation on Nusa Penida. Banana pancakes for breakfast were Delicious!

Beautiful environment, nice pool, clean and big rooms, huge bathroom, everything was perfect! We came to celebrate my boyfriends birthday here and the staff had put on balloons and decorations for him which was just amazing! Komang was our driver for one day and he was super friendly and thoughtful, loved to whole family, thank you for everything :)

Can’t think of anything bad about this place

Beautiful place, loved the bedrooms, garden and swimming pool. Received a welcome drink on arrival which was very thoughtful. Host is very friendly and they picked us up from the pier. Very unexpected extra mile.

Too far from everything

Really liked our stay! The owner Surya and his father were always very helpful offering transfers, renting their scooters and booking snorkeling trips. The bungalows are new and very clean, the pool area is well maintained and they also cleaned our room everyday. The bed is so comfortable and the AC and wifi works perfectly

Only thing is that they could have water available to guests for free as in all other hotels that I’ve stayed, but this was not a big problem.

We found Surya Maha Bungallo after escape from an other hotel. The staff was so kind with us when we arrived, they accepted to give us the room we preferred. We book for three night and extend for finally 6 nights. We spend a really nice time, the room was clean when we arrived and cleaned every day, the outdoor is beautiful and really peace with the garden and the swimming pool alway well kept. No bugs, no flys, no spiders in the room and that’s really make a good point compared to the others hotels in Nusa Penida. After visiting more than 15 differents hotels and bungalows in the area of Crystal Bay, we choose this one for the quality and the price. Possibility to rent scooter at the hotel.

-The room was cleaned every day, but for some reason they didn’t change towels and clean the bin :/ After 4 days food remains in the bin started to smell badly and the towels were always wet and unpleasant to use because the humidity didn’t give them a chance to dry.
