Very good location, near the airport and close to the beach and to the local market and also breakfast had a variety of choices and also the sea view was nice.

The furniture was a bit too old for a five star hotel and also the bathroom not the cleanest and not the best equiped and something worth to be mentioned would be a big rat running around the pool ~ nobody s fault since this area is somehow located in the middle of the nature/jungle, but still very unpleseant.

great pool with swim up bar. multiple restaurants in one place with great food choices, 2 with with ocean views. the staff were amazing and always helpful. the gardens and fish pond were lovely and well maintained. the breakfast was always good with more than enough options. the young trainee on the egg station was very kind and took a lot of pride in his omelettes. the Cafe in the lobby had amazing coffee/frappes and baked goods and sweets.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Discovery. The breakfast buffet was excellent with plenty of variety and the hotel certainly catered for everyone. The staff were excellent. I absolutely loved the pool.

The only problem was when we left the door to the patio open with the air conditioner going, it left moist on the floor, it was quite wet, slippery and very dangerous. We had to mop up the moist with towels, and I was surprised how dirty the floor was. We had to keep the door closed at all times at a certain temperature. The bathroom also needed attention, a few cracked tiles and also shower screen doors needed attention. But over all we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

This place is soooo amasing. The location is perfect, only 2 mins walk into Kuta along the beach pathway but tucked away in a completely silent and tranquil environment. Coral and rock free swimming in the beautiful beach right in front at hight tide and steps going down from the resort... The gardens, ponds, fish and sub tropical surroundings make it heaven to walk through and a huge swimming pool with swim up bar. The staff are amasing... helpful friendly and courteous at all times. The food is soo good and breakfast buffet is to die for - yum ! Oh and a fantastic huge gym, with free weights and a great selection of machines; AND air conditioned! Cannot recommend this place enough ... you CANNOT fault it... stayed 1 week. I will be back again very soon! Thankyou Discovery Kartika Plaza

The location is excellent. The facilities are exceptionally good with great mixing of gardens and lawns around the large pool with a great swim up bar. From arrival with a great impressive drive, fountsin and large reception, there are many wonderful locations headed by the sunset bar then the pond breakfast and meals dining area. This hotel is now a little aged in the rooms but they are large and very comfortable including the bed and good air-conditioning. The structural layout of the resort is old fashion but still really wonderful and ideal for the 700m of beachfront. The staff are obviously well trained to greet clients cheerfully and do their best to provide a great service. We greatly appreciated a late check out. A very enjoyable feature is the hotel provides a lot of free entertainment with cultural and musical shows every night. There are three good dining locations within the resort and many great restaurants nearby. Relaxing around the pool is delightful with a range of shade and in the sun sunbaking chairs.

A minor but frustrating thing. The trainee receptionist disregarded our booking name and entered my never used middle name as our surname from my passport. So their system failed to note we were regulars and the trainee failed to note it when I told her.

Everything was absolutely fabulous Staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us,Breakfast catered for all nationality's,and was very good,Pool was great and pool bar, just suggest that area for smokers at one end of bar would be great, our room was great and great views and comfortable,central to great restaurants shopping , Thank you all see you in October

The service was top notch and you can't go past the swim up bar for an amazing cocktail. It was like being on a cruise, we had entertainment starting at 9am with the dancing Bali girls, piano playing, the bali men playing the bamboo exylophones, then the aerobics by the pool to the night time live music with fire twirlers, and so much more. The rooms were immaculate (shout out to Toni on 5th floor) The breakfast was amazing from 6am to 11am so much food to mention, I have attached some photos of our stay, walking distance to Discovery mall, Waterbom park, Atm's, Bars, restaurants, sidewalk stalls for picking up a bargain or two. Also really good security at front and back of property. We couldn't get over how quiet it was and we were staying in the heart of Kuta. And did I mention it is beachfront with a walking track. Anywho, If you choose to stay, I think you'd love it and please have a breakfast Danish for me. Hahaha. We will be back. AAA+++.

The location of the resort is great. Close to Waterbom park and next to a shopping centre, but away from the busier areas of Kuta. The hotel is clean and the gardens are beautiful. The buffet breakfast had a huge selection of food, very fresh and tasty. I loved the free yoga and my husband said the hotel gym was great. The pool area was lovely. Our two bedroom apartment was awesome and had a great balcony to enjoy the ocean view. The staff were friendly and attentive. My children were sick during our stay and the staff were so caring and kind. They helped arrange a Dr and 2 nurses to attend our room to review them. Septi (Guest Experience Executive) was wonderful and checked on the wellbeing of our children daily, she arranged breakfast to be brought to our room for them when they weren’t well enough to go to the restaurant. Septi also had chicken soup and honey, lemon, ginger tea sent to the room for them. I can’t fault the service at Discovery Kartika Plaza!

It was quite noisy at night with live music downstairs, however that might be just where our apartment was located. Construction was going on at the beach next to the hotel which was noisy. The bathrooms could do with renovating but were clean and functional.

The breakfast is excellent. The grounds & pool are beautiful. The staff are attentive & friendly. It's close to the Kuta surfbreaks. Would definitely stay again.

We got a ground floor room, which I asked for, it was great not to have to climb stairs or use the lift & we could access our room straight off the garden. However at night we could hear the multple trolleys loaded with cooking equipment rattling down the corridor outside our room, being returned from the night event near the beachfront. It was noisy & disrupted our sleep. The pillows weren't great, too lumpy. The only other downside is I don't like the area for shopping.
