Nice hotel with cute rooms, a great swimming pool, friendly and helpful staff and a great cafe with delicious breakfast--they even brought the breakfast to our room! We also appreciated the welcome fruitplate they provided and that the bathroom had conditioner! As a hotel, you can't go wrong! (and they have an attached diveshop which I imagine if we had stayed longer we would've taken advantage of).

We appreciated walking along the beachfront in Sanur which wasn't too far to get to from the hotel. At the same time, I think staying along the beachfront would be a nicer experience than staying at a hotel on the road (which is where most of the hotels are including Akaya). So, the only downside is that the location is good but not great

The pool was used for scuba lessons and was not very private from them ,we felt uncomftable swimming with the divers using the pool and felt we were bothering them as they took over the pool I understand the scuba shop is part of the hotel but we felt intrusive ,as a guest you should feel comftable using the facility ,and not feel like a intruder whilst on holiday The pool is to small for this activity Bathroom is a bit small

This was the second stay at the Akaya. The first was when they first opened. It was pleasing to see they had kept the maintenance up and everything was fresh and clean. The lighting in the room and bathroom was great compared to most dimmed lighting in Bali accommodation. The food at the Akaya Cafe is delicious and the coffee amazing. The staff speak English and are so friendly and helpful. This hotel is highly recommended, excellent location and value for money.

The staff and location of the property were awesome. The rooms newly renovated and clean. The beautiful essential oils toiletries and nice boutique bottled water were a nice touch! Pool delightful although it did get taken over by divers learning scuba diving at times. Not a complaint at all but something to be aware of. Breakfast was nice.

Nothing to dislike. A very nice quiet, clean and pretty place. Very comfortable too.

Nice and clean with amazing staff. Its located in the main street walking distance to everything you need including the beach. The room was well kept and very clean. Highly recommend. Just to note, we checked out at 12pm and our flight was at 11pm, the staff allowed us to hang out at the pool, and even had a communal shower and toilet (very clean) that we could shower and wash up before leaving for the airport. Could not tell you how well looked after we were there.

The place was undoubtedly clean and newish. Staff were friendly. They allowed us 30 minutes late check out.

I felt the rooms and bathroom were too small for the price we paid. The sink was too big, leaving no space to keep toiletries on the benchtop. There was a shelf below the sink, but it was too cumbersome to bend each time you wanted to get your stuff. The kettle and coffee area was so tiny. I also wish hotels in Bali would change their plug points to allow universal charging facilities, considering Bali is a favourite tourist destination for people all around the globe.

Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of Sanur with easy access to the beach via a short walk. Great cafe out the front and the breakfast was very good. Rooms are a very nice design and comfortable with a great bathroom. Staff were super nice, fun and helpful. Nice upstairs open air lounge area and also air conditioned reception area on arrival.

Really nice and comfort vibes in the room, and loved that they provided fruits platter to welcome the guests. The hotel is located at walkable distance to the Sanur Beach, and you'll have access to many cafes, family marts, and beach bars around the area. If you're in the area to dive, Akaya offers diving packages as well so that would be pretty convenient. Oh their breakfast selection was pretty good too.

Do expect most of the restaurants to be a foreign establishment (western cuisines), however the Sanur Night Market is rather close by for some sedap local cuisine (~20mins by foot).

This is the perfect place to stay if you want to learn to scuba dive and the front reception shares the area with a dive business including all the gear that's required. It's a good location to get around on foot, near good cafes and restaurants and any easy walk to the beach. There is a little cafe where you can have breakfast or food delivered poolside which was great. Blue Bird taxis easy to pick up and get about if you want to travel about. The pool was warm and deep. There was a good number of lounges by the pool and all the units on the lower ground had comfortable cane chairs on their balconies. There were no mosquitos.

It's just a little thing - it would have been useful to know when the scuba divers were going to occupy the pool. There were maybe 7 instructors/ learn to be divers in the pool 2 days of the 4 days we were there so the pool lost some of its appeal on those days. We were told we could go in the pool which we did so it was still available. We can appreciate that it's economal for Akaya to have the dual use of the pool.

Lovely small Hamptons style hotel that feels like an oasis. The breakfast was a highlight, amazing coffee and juices, amazing selections, everything we had was really delicious - Loved it so much that I've recommended it to friends and family. Room was a little on the smaller side, but in saying this, there was a beautiful and spacious communal area which you were welcome to enjoy - we had the cafe deliver drinks and meals to us there a few times (as well as the pool area). Pool, rooms and gardens are lovely and clean. Lovely toiletries. Included - complimentary glassed bottled water daily. If you like shopping then you will love the location.

We loved it for a change to our other accomadations but have to note it's not traditionally Balinese or Indonesian.
