I really liked having a villa with a private pool and also the use of the main 25m pool. Breakfast was included and option of eating in my villa or at the restaurant near the pool, with a choice of 6 different breakfast menus to choose from. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and very helpful during my stay, assisting me with local phone calls and happy to allow me to sit in the aircon after checkout while I waited for my transport. The room was really spacious, including the bathroom, the outside shower was a treat! TV with lots of channels to choose from and a small bar fridge for cold drinks, everything you would expect. The bed was comfy and nice large pillows for a good nights sleep. The pool area was quite spacious with a table and chairs, lounge seats and a sunbed platform next to the pool. Access to the pool could be from the main door, the bedroom folding doors or the bathroom if needed. Villa Mahapala is only 3 mins walk to Sanur beach, a great position for obligatory shopping at the beach side market lanes or for a dip in the ocean with its clean sandy beach. No waves so really safe for children. Plenty of restaurants and local food outlets along the beach walk in either direction - north or south from Jalan Sindu Beach. A 5 min walk takes you up to Jalan Tamblingan which is a great shopping strip for all things Bali and more restaurants and food outlets. The nightly local food market is only 7 mins away - not to be missed if you like local fare. Thoroughly recommend Villa Mahapala at Sanur, 'location, location, location' AND great staff and amenities.

Breakfast options and food were amazing - too much! For us it was the perfect spot, we love the Jalan 😃

We found the mattress a bit uncomfortable, but got used to it. Two litres of bottled water each would have been appreciated.

Everything went well. It was so good that we would go back in an heartbeat. BUT the price is getting to high. They will price themselves out of the market if they are not careful. We were advised it is going up to 3000000 rupiah a night which roughly in Australian dollars is $300. I would not pay that and therefore sadly would look elsewhere. There are many villas in Sanur. Spoilt for choice actually

One standout would I miss a drying rack for pool towels and bathers ,hence we had to drape them over the outdoor furniture. It is such a simple thing to supply and I would encourage them to get onto this right away.

The villa was gorgeous. Having your own pool is heaven. The location is awesome.

The outside was a little tired. The decking could do with being replaced and the daybed timber was rotten. This didn’t affect my stay but aesthetically and safety wise, it would be nice to have it updated.

We loved everything about our stay - from the location, to the lovely staff. Our villa was everything we had hoped it would be - nice and private, but with the convenience of a hotel ie breakfast was delivered to us so we could eat it on the deck by our pool, and when I accidentally locked myself out I was able to got to reception and have someone let me in straight away. I would definitely recommend Villa Mahapala to my friends and family, and would stay there again if we ever return to Sanur.

Stayed in a 2 bed villa for 4 nights after moving from a 1 bed villa...very spacious for 4 people and pool/ outdoor area a .bit bigger than 1 bedroom villa Hotel.property is in a great location...extremely close to beach and many great cafes and restaurants

The 2 bed villas ( only 4 on the property) are all located along the road ( main road to the beach).... these rooms were significantly noisier than the 1 bed villas which are set back further. There isnt much the staff can do about this at all so its not a hotel fault, but its good to be aware of this. We did talk to them about it and they suggested to book 2 x 1 bed villas to avoid this, but thats not probably ideal to families with young children. Again, the location is superb!!

It is always a challenge to find what you are looking for your accommodation. I found in the past that sometimes the pictures on the websites are deceptive. No so with the Villa Mahapana . The villa was amazing and everything we had hoped for. Fabulous private pool in a well maintained court yard, comfortable bed ,great service. The location is amazing only 30mtres to the beach with its amazing restaurants scattered all the way along in each direction. The beach restaurants are very affordable, and the food is great. Who wouldn't want to sit on comfy chairs on the beach eating a meal and enjoying a cocktail or two. Could not recommend more highly

Such a great location with very easy walk to the beach, markets, restaurants, and spas. We loved the privacy of having the pool to ourselves and the option to have breakfast delivered to us each morning. Breakfast was really good (Indonesian-style every day!!). Staff were friendly, helpful and responsive but not invasive. The size of the villa combined with the outdoor living space gives a lot of room. Loved that staff would come around at dusk and light mozzie coils and spray inside if you want them to. Mosquitoes are all over Bali and can be really irritating in the evenings, so I think this little extra touch is brilliant.

Overall, it was a fab. The only small things I’d mention that didn’t detract much from the stay would be: the blinds in our villa needed some attention as some weren’t very functional; getting all the lights on/off was like doing a puzzle (the wiring made no sense). This ended up being our nightly entertainment though; it’s very easy to lock yourself out of the villa due to the door *hot tip - always take the swipe card with you when going outside to prevent the walk of shame to reception in your swimmers; the wooden platform next to the pool needed repairing. The loose and broken planks could be quite dangerous.

The rooms are spacious and bathrooms are big. Breakfast being served in the villa was nice. The pool in the villa was bigger than expected. It's Close to the beach and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay here

we absolutely loved Villa Mahapala! the staff were so attentive to our needs and the Villa was delightful!! it was very clean and roomy. the pictures do not do it justice. the location is amazing, food options around were so good. we will definitely be back. the pool was fantastic, we did not use the main pool as we were pleasantly surprised how big the Villa pool was. days were spent relaxing in the cabana, eating and swimming! The breakfast was delicious and filling, great options for all dietary requirements.
