The Kayana is excellent. Location is perfect for me (I frequent the area) and the style of the hotel is older Bali style. Other reviews have complained about the property ageing, but the style of hotel is reminiscent of Bali from an older time, rather than the modern style of most of the newer properties. This is a personal preference but the look, style and smell of the old wood structures is lovely. Service was friendly and efficient and even the basic room type with the plunge pool (still large even to swim) was great - spacious and beautiful.

We ate breakfast only once for the first out of 4 mornings. Breakfast was terrible - very basic Indonesian style. I love Indonesian food but the property (if serious about continuing to compete with the hundreds of new properties opening) needs to immediately change its concept and execution for breakfast. Tired, boring and basic options such as Mee goreng which was not very good and Bubur ketan hitam which was tasteless. Have your senior management team go and have breakfast at Kanvaz just up the road and see what they offer and how they execute - excellent. This is a serious downside to staying at The Kayana and as a result, we would never visit the restaurant on-site for breakfast or any other meal.

Beautiful setup, very clean and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was fantastic with loads of modern options, a separate vegetarian menu, the rooms were very well thought out with little things that make you appreciate it more e.g. mosquito nets/coils, high quality vanity items, powerful AC. Good location near restaurants, cafes and spas, all within walking distance. Also walking distance to Potato Head beach club which we definitely recommend for food and sunset!

Only nitpicking here, nothing that would put us off returning - our pool was mostly in the shade so remained pretty cold, and the bed was quite firm. Gym was very limited (but not a big deal for us personally).

The private villa with pool was a real treat! Such a tranquil setting, we didn't want to leave. It was hard to believe we were on a very busy street. It's very quiet and peaceful once you're back in your villa. Breakfast options were very good and set us up for the day. Often, we didn't need lunch. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. We did a cooking class with them, which was a lot of fun. It's easy to walk to the restaurants and shops and the beach isn't too far away - but not right by.

Probably that it's in Seminyak! Ha! Not our favourite spot. Way too busy and crowded. Sanur was more our speed. But the hotel is a nice escape from it all, and I can't fault them on anything.

I love the location of this property. Lots to do around the Kayana. From restaurants, markets, shopping to the beach. The villa is beautiful. The staff at the Kayana are super lovely and make the stay that much better! The property layout is beautiful as well.

There is a bit of a mold / musky smell inside the villa. This might be due to the climate though. Just found this very noticeable this stay. Due to the location, there is music that can be heard into the early hours of the night. But it’s nothing crazy. Again, due to being in such a great location you do have that downside.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this villa in Bali. Every detail was carefully thought through, making the experience seamless and relaxing from start to finish. The room was immaculate — spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. Breakfast was a highlight: well-assorted, fresh, and delicious, with plenty of variety to satisfy every taste. The main restaurant and pool area are simply stunning. The location couldn’t be better — peaceful yet well connected to the main attractions. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the staff. Every single team member was extremely kind, attentive, and professional.

If I had to mention one small point for improvement, it would be the price, which is slightly higher compared to the average in the area. That said, the outstanding service, facilities, and overall experience absolutely justify the value.

The villa is absolutely gorgeous. Way past my expectations. It’s completely private. Probably the biggest villa I’ve ever stayed at. The bathtub is great to have as well. Very relaxing. They have a little snack and coffee happy hour that is also very nice from 3-5pm. It’s walking distance to main area of restaurants and Seminyak beach. I would absolutely stay here again and can’t wait to come back with someone. The staff were very nice as well. I had an early morning tour and they packed me a breakfast box to go. The floating breakfast in your villa is also very good and the food is delicious.

Everything was amazing

Very easy check in and friendly staff. Villa had everything you needed. Great room service. Room service delivered to your dinning table outside. Requests for toilet rolls and water and clean towels met promptly. Lovely private villa all to yourself you can spend whole day in villa and use the pool and order room service. Easy walk to the beach and to the shops.

Room Phone. It took me a while to work out how to order room service or contact the house keeping because the phone is a bit dated and needs upgrade. Nothing tells you that you have to press TALK and then number you want. You have to work it out for yourself. Most hotels 0 does everything which would be better. I had to keep reffering back to the sheet to identify which number to call. A bit annoying but that is the only thing.

Lovely villa in a great location in Seminyak. The villa was huge, had pool, outside space for sunbathing, for eating and relaxing. Bed was super comfortable, there was also a bath and shower. The location was great too, walking distance from famous beach clubs and bars (if you are into this) We also had Balinese’s massage, OMG the ladies were so good at it and we felt refreshed and renewed. Breakfast and afternoon coffee were excellent too.

Nothing, all was great

The room is very pleasant and comfortable, with ample space to relax. The garden and pool area are also generously sized, offering plenty of room to enjoy. The hotel itself has a charming atmosphere, beautifully surrounded by trees that add to its appeal.

Unfortunately, the hotel is located near a pub/disco, and the music at night made it difficult to sleep comfortably. In addition, the restaurant staff’s catering skills left much to be desired.

I would like to leave a review for the wonderful hotel the Kayana located at Seminyak. The hotel itself consists of detached villas with a private area, a private swimming pool and sunbads . We originally only booked a few nights at this lovely hotel, but we loved it so much that we decided to spend here the entire stay. Although the hotel is located in the very center of Seminyak, there is a sense of calm and relaxation in the villa and the hotel. I would like to note the atmosphere of friendliness and hospitality; all the hotel staff are always happy to help, smiling and positive people. The hotel has its own restaurant, which was very pleasantly surprising with the quality of the dishes, since guests usually order dinner in the villa in the restaurant in the evening, you can always easily find a table and receive almost personal service. I would especially like to note the work of the staff: the IKA manager is very professional, friendly and helped us get favorable conditions for staying at this hotel, we are very grateful to her! We also ordered a barbecue dinner , which was served in our villa and we were absolutely delighted! The chef and waiter DARMIKA organized a luxurious dinner with delicious seafood for us. ADIT is very friendly and always served us very professionally at dinner. And finally, the hotel has its own spa, they gave us a 20% discount on all massages, even my husband, who does not like massages, was delighted with the spa. We will definitely come back here again!❤️
