Great location slightly north of central Ubud which is very hectic. Very comfortable bed and lovely veranda to sit on overlooking a gorgeous pool. Helpful staff who booked us a sunrise tour to Mt Batur. We ate all our meals at Labak Sari Warung which is the best restaurant for ambience and food that we’ve eaten at in Bali and it’s in walking distance of the JJ Ananda hotel.

We had an upstairs room and it was very noisy as we could hear the people below us who were laughing loudly at 5.30am and using the TV in the evening. I’d recommend booking a single story unit, also because the staircase to our room was steep and rickety. The room was lovely abut the bathroom was a bit scruffy.

So beautiful outside of the busy bustle of Ubud. Petulu Village is small and calm and you can tell all the people that live there look out for each other. The staff here are exceptional, Cook a lovely meal, are amazing to chat to, and will go beyond to make sure you have a brilliant stay. Room is stunning and you get your own kettle, fridge and beautifully decorated bathroom. Yes there are bugs and if you have a room with a bath then the shower is only cold water but you just have a bath or have a cold shower after your swim in their gorgeous pool. But you’ve come to Bali for the experience and this place gives it to you. Only 15 by bike south into Ubud town. 15 mins by bike north to Tegallang rice terraces. Good central location for big day trips and to chill out.

Absolutely stunning resort at a very reasonable price! The atmosphere is amazing and the area is fantastic and quiet! Extremely clean outside and inside, they regularly clean your room and the whole place to ensure the best experience. The swimming area is great too! Tasty breakfast and they offer many services, such as airport transfer, scooter rentals, tours and many more activities. The staff is amazing, extremely friendly and polite and always available during the day.

If you’re staying for a short time, the breakfast if great, however if you’re staying for multiple nights then the breakfast options is limited, but not such a big deal. Reason why I’m not giving 10 starts is because: The ac is a problem during the day, as soon as it gets hot outside the ac doesn’t work at all and is not pleasant staying inside the room as it gets very hot and humid, so what’s the point of having an ac during a hot day if it doesn’t manage to cool the room? They can offer a fan as a backup but that’s not the best option unfortunately. So if you’re planning to rest in be during the day, I guess you won’t be able to do so due to the heat.

Ananda J J Villas is a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. The rooms are stunning, especially the ones on the second floor, where you can enjoy lovely views and lots of natural light. The surroundings are breathtaking, with lush rice fields stretching as far as the eye can see. It’s quiet, serene, and perfect for relaxation. The pool is fantastic, great for cooling off and enjoying the atmosphere. Breakfasts are delicious, with a nice variety of options. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always making sure you have everything you need. A truly wonderful stay!

I don’t unterstand some of the bad reviews because I enjoyed my stay so much here! I booked the Deluxe Bungalow (would recommend to everyone)! and it was so cozy. I wanted to stay 2 nights but extended for two more nights. The location is nice too because it’s in a very calm area so if you look for a quite and calm place, this hotel is perfect for you. It’s a 15 mins bike ride from Ubud Center. There are some restaurants around the hotel if you don’t want to eat there. I loved to sit at the patio and watch over the ricefields. The pool looked nice too even though I didn’t use it. The two girls that work at the reception are angels! They are so kind and friendly! The only thing that was a little bit annoying was that the AC was really weak so at daytime the room was quite warm but it didn’t bother me too much because it was decently cold in the evening! When I come back to Ubud I will definitely stay there again!!

Location is very nice, staff super friendly, easily accessible. All rooms have aircon which is definitely a plus. The swimming pool also very nice and clean.

I do feel that they can put a little more effort in cleaning the rooms as well as put new coffee cups and refill the coffee and sugar on a daily basis. give clean towels maybe every third day and also clean bedding every third day or so.

Very nice and calm location a bit outside the city. The swimming pool was so nice as well as the decor of the rooms. The staff was lovely and we had such a nice stay.

Some spaces could have been cleaner (found an old bandaid), the door to the bathroom was so hard to open and close and so noisy. The ac was also very loud but we did not need to have it on for the night so it was not a real problem.

I wanted to stay away from the busy part of Ubud, but close enough to take about 10 minutes on a motorbike taxi to get into the centre when I needed to. The location was perfect. It was quiet and relaxing. The room was traditional style and the buildings were rustic and charming.

The breakfast choices were very basic. Everything else about the hotel was as I expected.

Charmingly rustic property with great amenities. I loved having a tub with lots of hot water. I enjoyed just sitting and overlooking the rice fields.

Because the rooms were wooden it could Be quite noisy, but it wasn’t terribly obtrusive as most guests were considerate

Lovely cottages in Ubud, slightly out of the centre which meant it was away from lot of traffic. Breakfast was on point. They had the loveliest kittens staying there who were beautiful and friendly. Helped with scooter hire with was cheaper than others in town.

Pool didn't look like it was cleaned regularly so we didn't have a dip.
